will_v appear_v unto_o it_o as_o dead_a and_o discolour_a 3._o the_o fix_v of_o they_o steady_o on_o thing_n spiritual_a and_o eternal_a whereof_o i_o have_v discourse_v at_o large_a elsewhere_o the_o whole_a of_o this_o advice_n be_v give_v we_o by_o the_o apostle_n col._n 3._o 1_o 2_o 3_o 4_o 5._o herein_o faith_n begin_v its_o work_n this_o be_v the_o first_o lesson_n it_o take_v out_o of_o the_o gospel_n namely_o that_o of_o self-denial_n whereof_o this_o mortification_n be_v a_o principal_a part_n herein_o it_o labour_v to_o cast_v off_o every_o burden_n and_o the_o sin_n that_o do_v dead_a in_o you_o in_o a_o sensible_a degree_n and_o measure_n unless_o you_o endeavour_v every_o day_n to_o promote_v the_o same_o frame_n in_o your_o mind_n you_o will_v live_v and_o die_v stranger_n to_o this_o duty_n 2._o this_o mortification_n of_o our_o affection_n towards_o these_o thing_n our_o love_n desire_v and_o delight_n will_v produce_v a_o moderation_n of_o passion_n about_o they_o as_o fear_v anger_n sorrow_n and_o the_o like_a such_o will_v man_n be_v stir_v up_o unto_o in_o those_o change_n loss_n cross_n which_o these_o thing_n be_v subject_a unto_o they_o be_v apt_a to_o be_v tender_a and_o soft_a in_o those_o thing_n they_o take_v every_o thing_n to_o heart_n every_o affliction_n and_o disappointment_n be_v aggravate_v as_o if_o none_o almost_o have_v such_o thing_n befall_v they_o as_o themselves_o every_o thing_n put_v they_o into_o a_o commotion_n hence_o be_v they_o often_o surprise_v with_o anger_n about_o trifle_n influence_v by_o fear_n in_o all_o change_n with_o other_o turbulent_a passion_n hence_o be_v man_n morose_n peevish_a froward_a apt_a to_o be_v displease_v and_o take_v offence_n on_o all_o occasion_n the_o subdue_a of_o this_o frame_n the_o cast_v out_o of_o these_o disposition_n and_o perverse_a inclination_n be_v part_n of_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n when_o the_o mind_n be_v wean_v from_o the_o world_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o it_o it_o will_v be_v sedate_n quiet_a compose_v not_o easy_o move_v with_o the_o occurence_n and_o occasion_n of_o life_n it_o be_v dead_a unto_o they_o and_o in_o a_o great_a measure_n inconcerned_a in_o they_o this_o be_v that_o moderation_n of_o mind_n wherein_o the_o apostle_n will_v have_v we_o excel_v phil._n 4._o 5._o for_o he_o will_v have_v it_o so_o
