1._o 6_o 7._o heb._n 6._o 1_o 2._o who_o when_o they_o be_v come_v down_o pray_v for_o they_o that_o they_o may_v receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n than_o lay_v they_o their_o hand_n on_o they_o and_o dangerous_a must_v not_o the_o ground_n of_o one_o practice_n be_v examine_v as_o well_o as_o another_o or_o why_o unreasonable_a be_v not_o our_o brethren_n bind_v to_o stand_v to_o their_o principle_n one_o time_n as_o well_o as_o at_o another_o or_o will_v they_o impose_v principle_n to_o lead_v we_o through_o the_o whole_a work_n as_o mr._n d._n pag._n 40._o and_o not_o be_v lead_v by_o they_o themselves_o for_o my_o part_n i_o be_o full_o satisfy_v there_o be_v sufficient_a ground_n in_o holy_a scripture_n for_o woman_n come_v to_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o for_o the_o ordination_n of_o church_n officer_n by_o prayer_n and_o lay_v on_o of_o hand_n and_o i_o do_v solemn_o profess_v to_o dislike_v any_o principle_n or_o practice_n in_o religion_n which_o can_v with_o that_o action_n but_o this_o be_v far_o from_o truth_n for_o if_o extraordinary_a gift_n have_v sufficient_o capacitate_v man_n to_o do_v this_o work_n without_o ministerial_a authority_n philip_n the_o deacon_n be_v eminent_o gift_v that_o way_n may_v have_v impose_v hand_n for_o the_o promise_a spirit_n as_o well_o as_o peter_n and_o john_n yet_o he_o meddle_v not_o with_o this_o service_n at_o all_o neither_o his_o office_n as_o a_o deacon_n nor_o his_o gift_n to_o do_v wonder_n impower_v he_o thereto_o in_o his_o own_o judgement_n for_o have_v he_o be_v otherwise_o mind_v who_o that_o and_o other_o thing_n for_o the_o settlement_n of_o the_o church_n do_v more_o proper_o belong_v wherefore_o we_o must_v needs_o reject_v that_o passage_n of_o mr._n d._n pag._n 6._o where_o he_o tell_v we_o the_o administrator_n of_o lay_v on_o of_o hand_n be_v any_o gift_a believer_n etc._n etc._n by_o which_o conceit_n even_o woman_n from_o who_o extraordinary_a gift_n be_v not_o withhold_v may_v administer_v this_o service_n but_o that_o this_o be_v a_o act_n of_o office_n appear_v partly_o by_o what_o be_v already_o say_v and_o partly_o for_o that_o the_o church_n at_o jerusalem_n send_v not_o gift_v brethren_n only_o but_o man_n endow_v with_o authority_n to_o fetch_v in_o order_n such_o thing_n as_o be_v want_v in_o that_o church_n which_o though_o much_o prepare_v for_o settlement_n by_o the_o labour_n of_o philip_n yet_o can_v rational_o be_v suppose_v to_o be_v so_o settle_v as_o be_v meet_v for_o it_o be_v say_v only_o they_o be_v baptise_a in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o the_o first_o thing_n we_o hear_v they_o do_v for_o they_o be_v to_o pray_v that_o they_o may_v receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n etc._n etc._n and_o this_o they_o do_v for_o they_o all_o both_o man_n and_o woman_n as_o be_v in_o part_n grant_v by_o mr._n d._n while_o he_o grant_v it_o to_o be_v perform_v upon_o those_o on_o who_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v not_o fall_v and_o say_v the_o text_n he_o be_v fall_v on_o none_o of_o they_o yet_o mr._n d._n will_v make_v a_o exception_n of_o some_o of_o they_o because_o simon_n be_v find_v in_o the_o gall_n of_o bitterness_n but_o this_o corruption_n appear_v not_o till_o after_o the_o service_n of_o prayer_n with_o lay_v on_o of_o hand_n be_v perform_v it_o conclude_v not_o at_o all_o but_o that_o simon_n may_v be_v include_v in_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o have_v hand_n lay_v on_o he_o also_o yea_o and_o receive_v of_o those_o gift_n too_o see_v god_n do_v not_o withhold_v they_o from_o hypocrite_n and_o beside_o the_o word_n of_o peter_n deny_v he_o to_o have_v any_o part_n or_o lot_n in_o that_o matter_n refer_v to_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o ordinance_n and_o not_o to_o his_o submission_n to_o it_o give_v i_o this_o power_n also_o that_o on_o whosoever_o i_o lay_v my_o hand_n he_o may_v receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o this_o matter_n peter_n deny_v simon_n to_o have_v any_o part_n furthermore_o mr._n d._n do_v certain_o mistake_v act._n 19_o 2._o in_o say_v the_o twelve_o disciple_n at_o ephesus_n be_v of_o the_o church_n whereas_o the_o scripture_n and_o reason_n do_v hoth_o inform_v we_o they_o can_v not_o be_v embody_v with_o the_o church_n there_o as_o yet_o because_o they_o be_v now_o say_v to_o be_v find_v and_o call_v certain_a disciple_n the_o word_n imply_v they_o be_v hitherto_o unknown_a for_o otherwise_o why_o shall_v they_o be_v say_v to_o be_v find_v by_o paul_n more_o than_o the_o whole_a church_n if_o indeed_o they_o have_v be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o church_n again_o their_o great_a ignorance_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n show_v plain_o they_o be_v not_o unite_v to_o the_o body_n or_o church_n at_o ephesus_n where_o doubtless_o acquilla_n and_o priscilla_n have_v not_o be_v want_v to_o teach_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n perfect_o and_o last_o their_o be_v baptise_a again_o show_v plain_o they_o be_v not_o of_o the_o church_n error_n church_n you_o see_v i_o do_v adhere_v to_o the_o ancient_a exposition_n of_o this_o place_n rather_o than_o to_o our_o late_a curtailed_a exposition_n that_o great_a gospel_n promise_n be_v a_o weighty_a consideration_n whereupon_o to_o ground_v the_o practice_n of_o prayer_n with_o the_o imposition_n of_o hand_n and_o without_o which_o the_o
