by_o give_v himself_o to_o holy_a duty_n and_o action_n and_o exercise_v himself_o in_o they_o come_v to_o attain_v a_o habit_n of_o holiness_n and_o be_v true_o sanctify_v answ_n some_o have_v not_o doubt_v to_o affirm_v as_o much_o but_o false_o and_o the_o falsity_n of_o this_o opinion_n may_v be_v make_v evident_a by_o these_o consideration_n follow_v 1._o this_o opinion_n import_v thus_o much_o that_o one_o under_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n may_v perform_v act_n that_o be_v holy_a which_o be_v false_a he_o may_v indeed_o do_v such_o thing_n as_o be_v material_o holy_a as_o be_v command_v of_o god_n who_o word_n and_o covenant_n do_v sanctify_v they_o &_o make_v the_o thing_n holy_a in_o themselves_o but_o they_o be_v not_o formal_o holy_a but_o come_v from_o their_o impure_a this_o and_o live_v here_o the_o promise_n of_o life_n be_v legal_a because_o the_o commandment_n of_o do_v be_v legal_a on_o the_o other_o side_n when_o it_o be_v say_v believe_v and_o live_v here_o the_o promise_n of_o life_n be_v evangelicall_n because_o the_o commandment_n of_o believe_v be_v evangelicall_n but_o if_o we_o make_v the_o commandment_n of_o believe_v to_o be_v legal_a than_o the_o promise_n of_o life_n upon_o condition_n of_o believe_v must_v be_v legal_a also_o and_o then_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n leave_v betwixt_o these_o two_o do_v and_o live_v and_o believe_v and_o live_v which_o confound_v law_n and_o gospel_n heaven_n and_o earth_n and_o make_v the_o two_o covenant_n all_o one_o papist_n turn_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n into_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n this_o do_v the_o contrary_a turn_v the_o covenant_n of_o work_n into_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n chemnitius_n speak_v of_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n bring_v in_o andradius_fw-la of_o faith_n like_o hereto_o be_v this_o doctrine_n that_o the_o commandment_n of_o faith_n be_v a_o commandment_n of_o the_o law_n for_o then_o both_o covenant_n both_o law_n and_o gospel_n must_v stand_v in_o observatione_fw-la fidei_fw-la in_o the_o duty_n of_o believe_v only_o perhaps_o the_o maintainer_n of_o this_o opinion_n will_v make_v a_o difference_n thus_o that_o that_o faith_n which_o be_v wrought_v by_o the_o commandment_n be_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o law_n or_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o that_o faith_n which_o be_v wrought_v by_o the_o promise_n be_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n but_o as_o he_o notwithstanding_o his_o distinction_n of_o man_n regenerate_v and_o unregenerate_a do_v in_o effect_n confound_v both_o covenant_n change_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n into_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n so_o do_v these_o notwithstanding_o their_o distinction_n of_o commandment_n and_o promise_n they_o confound_v both_o covenant_n change_v the_o covenant_n of_o work_n which_o stand_v in_o do_v into_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n which_o stand_v in_o believe_v and_o so_o by_o this_o doctrine_n one_o of_o the_o principal_a difference_n betwixt_o the_o two_o covenant_n be_v take_v away_o the_o one_o require_v work_n the_o other_o faith_n the_o one_o do_v the_o other_o believe_v 10._o this_o be_v confirm_v further_o by_o that_o which_o be_v speak_v of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n in_o mark_n 1.14_o 15._o where_o it_o be_v say_v of_o he_o that_o he_o come_v preach_v the_o gospel_n not_o the_o law_n but_o the_o gospel_n and_o
