will_v serious_o peruse_v the_o book_n refer_v to_o and_o diligent_o consider_v the_o strength_n of_o what_o be_v there_o plead_v by_o the_o reverend_a author_n for_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o saint_n perseverance_n which_o if_o he_o will_v do_v i_o be_o persuade_v the_o profit_n or_o at_o least_o conviction_n of_o the_o weakness_n of_o his_o present_a argument_n against_o it_o which_o he_o may_v receive_v thereby_o will_v even_o in_o his_o own_o judgement_n abundant_o compensate_a his_o pain_n however_o it_o will_v far_o inform_v he_o what_o he_o have_v to_o remove_v out_o of_o his_o way_n before_o he_o can_v establish_v the_o doctrine_n now_o assert_v by_o he_o and_o so_o may_v guide_v and_o influence_n he_o to_o speak_v more_o pertinent_o and_o modest_o then_o hither_o to_o he_o have_v do_v in_o a_o matter_n of_o so_o great_a importance_n chap._n vi_o of_o justification_n that_o article_n of_o our_o faith_n which_o concern_v the_o justification_n of_o a_o sinner_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n must_v needs_o be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v of_o great_a importance_n and_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v more_o careful_a of_o nothing_o then_o that_o our_o mind_n be_v not_o corrupt_v from_o the_o simplicity_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o we_o move_v from_o our_o stead_n fastness_n thereabouts_o and_o therefore_o although_o mr._n collier_n in_o the_o book_n before_o i_o have_v say_v but_o little_a direct_o to_o that_o point_n yet_o observe_v divers_a thing_n therein_o very_o opposite_a to_o and_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o truth_n in_o this_o matter_n i_o can_v not_o pass_v they_o without_o some_o remark_n and_o in_o the_o first_o place_n i_o shall_v brief_o propose_v what_o the_o scripture_n teach_v we_o and_o then_o examine_v mr._n collier_n notion_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o truth_n reveal_v therein_o the_o term_n justification_n be_v constant_o in_o the_o scripture_n speak_v of_o this_o matter_n take_v in_o a_o law-sense_n as_o it_o import_v the_o acquit_v of_o a_o person_n by_o the_o sentence_n of_o a_o judge_n the_o justification_n of_o a_o sinner_n by_o god_n be_v the_o gracious_a sentence_n of_o god_n by_o which_o for_o christ_n sake_n apprehend_v by_o faith_n he_o looose_v the_o sinner_n from_o his_o obligation_n to_o eternal_a wrath_n and_o punishment_n and_o account_v he_o righteous_a to_o the_o obtain_n of_o life_n and_o glory_n 1._o it_o be_v the_o sentence_n of_o god_n as_o a_o judge_n acquit_v rom._n 8._o 32._o 2._o it_o be_v a_o gracious_a sentence_n without_o any_o respect_n to_o our_o worthiness_n or_o work_n of_o righteousness_n that_o we_o have_v do_v or_o can_v do_v rom._n 3._o 24._o
