by_o faith_n alone_o be_v true_a than_o it_o will_v be_v receive_v by_o the_o jewish_a nation_n but_o the_o jew_n disclaim_v that_o doctrine_n at_o least_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o ergo_fw-la chapter_n now_o because_o a_o doctrine_n of_o this_o nature_n must_v needs_o be_v a_o stumbling-block_n of_o offence_n unto_o the_o jew_n therefore_o in_o the_o five_o first_o verse_n he_o insinuate_v a_o special_a example_n of_o the_o two_o son_n of_o abraham_n viz._n ishmael_n and_o isaac_n whereof_o the_o first_o be_v only_o
gentile_n do_v not_o follow_v after_o righteousness_n yet_o they_o have_v attain_v to_o the_o law_n of_o righteousness_n because_o they_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_a that_o the_o jew_n though_o they_o follow_v after_o righteousness_n yet_o they_o have_v not_o attain_v unto_o righteousness_n because_o they_o believe_v not_o in_o christ_n but_o seek_v justification_n by_o their_o own_o work_n and_o together_o with_o this_o he_o set_v forth_o the_o cause_n why_o they_o believe_v not_o in_o christ_n because_o they_o be_v offend_v with_o or_o at_o he_o at_o which_o offence_n of_o they_o lest_o believer_n shall_v be_v offend_v he_o declare_v that_o that_o of_o old_a be_v declare_v by_o the_o prophet_n isa_n 8.14_o and_o 28.16_o you_o hold_v on_o at_o the_o same_o
