commandment_n be_v to_o sanctify_v the_o seven_o day_n from_o the_o creation_n now_o that_o we_o shall_v keep_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n for_o the_o sabbath_n under_o the_o gospel_n this_o be_v not_o express_v in_o the_o four_o commandment_n yet_o it_o be_v implicit_o require_v namely_o that_o we_o shall_v keep_v holy_a that_o seven_o day_n that_o god_n have_v appoint_v or_o shall_v appoint_v if_o god_n do_v change_v the_o seven_o day_n to_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n still_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o four_o commandment_n we_o be_v bind_v to_o sanctify_v and_o celebrate_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n for_o the_o sabbath_n so_o now_o in_o this_o case_n though_o the_o first_o commandment_n do_v not_o express_o require_v our_o faith_n in_o christ_n yet_o implicity_n we_o be_v bind_v by_o virtue_n of_o that_o commandment_n to_o yield_v obedience_n of_o faith_n to_o whatever_o god_n shall_v reveal_v or_o make_v know_v to_o we_o or_o command_v we_o to_o believe_v any_o time_n afterward_o so_o that_o now_o if_o our_o believe_v on_o christ_n be_v require_v in_o the_o first_o commandment_n than_o unbelief_n be_v a_o transgression_n of_o the_o first_o commandment_n and_o so_o a_o sin_n this_o be_v the_o first_o demonstration_n 2._o it_o appear_v to_o be_v a_o sin_n namely_o because_o not_o believe_v on_o christ_n be_v a_o transgression_n of_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o gospel_n not_o only_o a_o transgression_n of_o the_o first_o table_n of_o the_o law_n but_o it_o be_v a_o transgression_n of_o the_o great_a commandment_n of_o the_o gospel_n brethren_n the_o gospel_n be_v a_o law_n it_o be_v call_v the_o law_n of_o faith_n rom._n 2.27_o where_o then_o be_v boast_v it_o be_v exclude_v by_o what_o law_n of_o work_n nay_o but_o by_o the_o law_n of_o faith_n what_o be_v that_o that_o be_v the_o gospel_n the_o gospel_n be_v the_o law_n of_o faith_n wherein_o god_n require_v our_o faith_n and_o believe_v on_o christ_n and_o therefore_o faith_n be_v call_v the_o obedience_n of_o faith_n rom._n 16.26_o but_o now_o be_v it_o make_v manifest_a by_o the_o scripture_n of_o the_o prophet_n according_a to_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o everlasting_a god_n make_v know_v to_o all_o nation_n for_o the_o obedience_n of_o faith_n that_o be_v that_o the_o nation_n shall_v believe_v on_o christ_n and_o so_o yield_v obedience_n to_o the_o gospel_n by_o believe_v it_o be_v the_o command_n of_o the_o gospel_n therefore_o now_o not_o believe_v on_o christ_n be_v a_o transgression_n of_o a_o gospel_n command_n where_o do_v the_o gospel_n command_v our_o believe_v on_o christ_n express_o why_o every_o where_o to_o name_v but_o a_o place_n or_o two_o john_n 6.29_o say_v christ_n this_o be_v the_o work_n of_o slight_v and_o despise_v his_o word_n by_o be_v formal_a and_o careless_a and_o wanton_a and_o profane_v sabbath_n and_o ordinance_n but_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n be_v little_o lay_v to_o heart_n there_o be_v little_a real_a humiliation_n for_o that_o and_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n because_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n only_o to_o convince_v of_o this_o sin_n and_o therefore_o as_o we_o do_v desire_v more_o and_o more_o to_o see_v the_o evil_n of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n true_o we_o have_v need_v to_o look_v up_o for_o the_o spirit_n to_o discover_v it_o to_o we_o that_o all_o that_o we_o can_v do_v can_v never_o please_v god_n unless_o we_o do_v believe_v on_o christ_n whatever_o prayer_n we_o make_v whatever_o duty_n we_o perform_v yet_o all_o do_v not_o please_v god_n but_o we_o must_v be_v accept_v only_o by_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o show_v we_o how_o we_o have_v be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n of_o salvation_n all_o this_o time_n i_o have_v go_v on_o in_o a_o course_n of_o duty_n and_o performance_n in_o a_o way_n of_o moral_a righteousness_n but_o i_o have_v be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n of_o life_n and_o salvation_n all_o this_o time_n if_o the_o spirit_n do_v not_o convince_v we_o we_o shall_v never_o be_v convince_v of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n it_o be_v not_o all_o that_o i_o have_v speak_v nor_o all_o that_o all_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o world_n can_v speak_v in_o lay_v open_a this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n that_o can_v convince_v we_o of_o it_o except_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n come_v and_o convince_v of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n therefore_o look_v up_o for_o the_o spirit_n and_o wait_v for_o the_o spirit_n to_o be_v give_v out_o to_o convince_v we_o of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n that_o be_v the_o first_o 2._o to_o end_v all_o hereby_o we_o may_v come_v in_o some_o measure_n to_o discern_v our_o spiritual_a estate_n and_o whether_o or_o no_o you_o have_v be_v convince_v of_o sin_n and_o especial_o of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n have_v the_o holy_a ghost_n discover_v the_o evil_a of_o this_o sin_n to_o you_o i_o pray_v consider_v serious_o of_o it_o for_o this_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o order_n to_o salvation_n to_o convince_v of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n objection_n you_o will_v say_v well_o i_o hope_v the_o lord_n have_v be_v at_o work_n upon_o my_o soul_n i_o hope_v the_o spirit_n have_v be_v convince_a i_o of_o sin_n i_o think_v i_o have_v be_v convince_v of_o many_o sin_n i_o hope_v the_o spirit_n have_v make_v i_o to_o see_v my_o original_a sin_n and_o have_v convince_v i_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o my_o youth_n the_o lord_n have_v write_v bitter_a thing_n against_o i_o and_o make_v i_o to_o possess_v the_o iniquity_n of_o my_o youth_n he_o have_v bring_v to_o my_o remembrance_n how_o i_o have_v be_v disobedient_a to_o my_o parent_n and_o superior_n the_o spirit_n i_o suppose_v have_v convince_v i_o that_o i_o have_v be_v give_v to_o lie_v to_o purloin_v defraud_v and_o steal_v from_o parent_n and_o master_n and_o i_o have_v be_v convince_v of_o sabbath-breaking_a etc._n etc._n answer_v but_o i_o pray_v consider_v have_v you_o ever_o be_v convince_v of_o this_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n i_o pray_v consider_v it_o serious_o what_o of_o the_o evil_a of_o unbelief_n have_v the_o spirit_n discover_v to_o you_o i_o tell_v you_o brethren_n if_o so_o be_v you_o have_v not_o be_v convince_v and_o see_v something_o of_o the_o evil_a of_o unbelief_n true_o you_o have_v cause_n to_o question_v whether_o ever_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v be_v at_o work_n upon_o you_o in_o order_n to_o salvation_n let_v i_o tell_v you_o plain_o and_o i_o pray_v bear_v with_o i_o you_o may_v have_v be_v convince_v of_o sin_n and_o yet_o the_o spirit_n have_v never_o be_v at_o work_n upon_o you_o in_o order_n to_o salvation_n no_o when_o the_o spirit_n do_v work_v in_o order_n much_o shall_v suffice_v for_o this_o time_n the_o holy_a ghost_n reveal_v christ_n righteousness_n sermon_n vii_o john_n 16.10_o of_o righteousness_n because_o i_o go_v to_o my_o father_n and_o you_o see_v i_o no_o more_o you_o have_v hear_v before_o that_o the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n upon_o the_o soul_n in_o order_n to_o conversion_n and_o salvation_n be_v to_o convince_v to_o persuade_v the_o soul_n to_o venture_v to_o lean_v upon_o christ_n righteousness_n only_o to_o be_v accept_v of_o god_n to_o salvation_n than_o the_o soul_n do_v make_v mention_n of_o christ_n
