work_n of_o regeneration_n and_o reconciliation_n do_v so_o principle_n the_o heart_n with_o a_o enmity_n to_o sin_n and_o beget_v a_o hatred_n to_o it_o and_o love_n to_o righteousness_n 1_o thess._n despise_v and_o scorn_v in_o many_o place_n throughout_o his_o book_n and_o as_o for_o the_o word_n together_o with_o the_o spirit_n cleanse_v and_o sanctify_v the_o word_n and_o spirit_n be_v one_o and_o he_o that_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n abide_v in_o he_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o he_o and_o this_o with_o its_o bless_a effect_n we_o certain_o know_v and_o therefore_o can_v slight_v the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n or_o word_n of_o god_n therein_o which_o he_o call_v the_o write_v word_n because_o they_o proceed_v from_o the_o spirit_n and_o whereas_o he_o will_v not_o give_v any_o ground_n of_o jealousy_n that_o he_o shall_v judge_v that_o the_o write_a word_n and_o spirit_n in_o any_o man_n as_o abstract_v from_o christ_n in_o the_o tite_a and_o most_o uniform_a disobedient_a state_n and_o if_o some_o be_v justify_v in_o that_o state_n only_o by_o the_o offer_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n without_o as_o be_v suppose_v and_o not_o all_o that_o be_v in_o the_o same_o state_n do_v not_o this_o render_v god_n partial_a and_o unjust_a if_o he_o withhold_v that_o from_o man_n which_o be_v both_o merit_v and_o purchase_v for_o they_o as_o these_o our_o opposer_n affirm_v whilst_o their_o obedience_n be_v so_o little_o set_v by_o or_o esteem_v that_o it_o be_v deem_v no_o cause_n of_o either_o justification_n or_o sanctification_n but_o then_o as_o to_o the_o shed_n of_o christ_n blood_n without_o which_o so_o much_o stress_n be_v lay_v upon_o who_o work_n be_v that_o but_o a_o wicked_a man_n after_o he_o be_v put_v to_o death_n and_o where_o be_v that_o blood_n be_v it_o in_o be_v yea_o or_o nay_o or_o do_v it_o sink_v into_o the_o ground_n and_o corrupt_a as_o some_o of_o you_o have_v confess_v and_o in_o p._n 40._o that_o blood_n that_o be_v shed_v be_v not_o in_o be_v say_v w._n b._n how_o then_o do_v it_o cleanse_v sanctify_v justify_v redeem_v save_v &c._n &c._n as_o he_o will_v have_v we_o believe_v whereas_o in_o that_o 1_o pet._n 1._o confess_v his_o come_n in_o the_o flesh_n or_o for_o not_o say_v with_o you_o that_o the_o flesh_n and_o body_n christ_n take_v upon_o he_o be_v christ_n which_o be_v all_o one_o as_o to_o say_v that_o christ_n take_v upon_o he_o christ_n which_o be_v to_o make_v two_o christ_n whereas_o every_o spirit_n that_o confess_v not_o that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v come_v in_o the_o flesh_n be_v not_o of_o god_n but_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o antichrist_n 1_o joh._n 4._o it_o be_v not_o jesus_n christ_n come_v in_o jesus_n christ._n thus_o you_o make_v yourselves_o ridiculous_a by_o carp_n at_o the_o truth_n and_o caval_v against_o christ_n light_n which_o the_o quaker_n own_o and_o as_o to_o our_o lay_v the_o stress_n of_o salvation_n upon_o our_o obedience_n to_o the_o light_n within_o answ._n christ_n be_v the_o author_n of_o salvation_n to_o as_o many_o as_o obey_v he_o who_o be_v the_o true_a light_n that_o enlighten_v every_o man_n and_o in_o his_o light_n he_o be_v to_o be_v out_o of_o their_o sight_n who_o stand_v gaze_v so_o all_o the_o gazer_n abroad_o from_o the_o light_n within_o may_v read_v their_o figure_n even_o the_o cloud_n but_o steven_n when_o he_o be_v then_o to_o be_v convince_v and_o beget_v to_o god_n where_o be_v the_o light_n in_o the_o order_n of_o god_n work_n in_o the_o soul_n before_o it_o be_v effect_v if_o not_o at_o work_n in_o they_o but_o to_o his_o own_o contradiction_n p._n 8._o he_o confess_v that_o the_o law_n be_v accompany_v with_o the_o spirit_n in_o that_o regenerate_a work_n then_o it_o be_v in_o man_n and_o as_o to_o that_o story_n and_o accusation_n against_o ja._n naylor_n we_o never_o understand_v that_o he_o profess_v himself_o to_o be_v christ_n neither_o in_o his_o examination_n before_o the_o magistrate_n his_o own_o rule_n and_o ask_v where_o he_o prove_v that_o he_o be_v justify_v by_o the_o shed_n of_o the_o blood_n that_o be_v let_v out_o by_o the_o spear_n in_o so_o many_o word_n and_o where_o in_o so_o many_o word_n that_o blood_n shed_v without_o the_o gat_n of_o jerusalem_n be_v the_o mean_n of_o salvation_n as_o in_o pag._n 28._o whereas_o if_o that_o be_v his_o justifier_n and_o corruptible_a thing_n its_o original_n again_o if_o the_o blood_n shed_v cry_v afresh_o and_o sound_v in_o god_n ear_n for_o mercy_n for_o sinner_n as_o he_o say_v how_o be_v god_n full_o satisfy_v not_o to_o be_v in_o be_v as_o absurd_o he_o bring_v a_o comparison_n of_o a_o purchase_n among_o man_n and_o that_o which_o buy_v the_o purchase_n be_v lose_v or_o give_v away_o as_o if_o god_n shall_v set_v such_o a_o small_a value_n of_o that_o which_o purchase_v man_n to_o himself_o oh_o gross_a ignorance_n and_o error_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v confess_v that_o christ_n be_v the_o purchaser_n and_o sinner_n or_o salvation_n the_o purchase_n and_o the_o price_n his_o life_n pag._n 40._o whereas_o before_o pag._n 39_o he_o have_v contend_v against_o that_o of_o the_o blood_n that_o sanctify_v be_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n but_o now_o the_o price_n be_v his_o life_n and_o be_v not_o that_o price_n which_o purchase_v and_o redeem_v sinner_n that_o precious_a blood_n of_o
