liberty_n of_o the_o gospel_n according_a to_o which_o they_o do_v declare_v the_o true_a meaning_n of_o the_o law_n which_o they_o have_v receive_v from_o christ_n and_o the_o apostle_n and_o although_o those_o do_v great_o err_v in_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o law_n which_o be_v not_o intend_v for_o the_o time_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n among_o the_o gentile_n but_o have_v its_o reference_n only_o to_o the_o old_a testament_n yet_o the_o apostle_n will_v that_o none_o shall_v judge_v despise_v or_o reject_v the_o other_o neither_o in_o their_o faith_n nor_o work_n but_o receive_v he_o as_o a_o weak_a brother_n in_o faith_n whereunto_o this_o observation_n ought_v to_o be_v annex_v that_o the_o apostle_n do_v speak_v only_o of_o those_o who_o out_o of_o mere_a weakness_n and_o fear_n to_o transgress_v the_o law_n make_v it_o a_o matter_n of_o necessity_n or_o at_o least_o a_o scruple_n of_o it_o to_o who_o it_o will_v have_v be_v sin_n if_o they_o have_v eat_v of_o the_o forbid_a meat_n against_o their_o own_o though_o erroneous_a conscience_n according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o apostle_n verse_n 23._o he_o that_o doubt_v be_v damn_v if_o he_o eat_v viz._n against_o his_o own_o conscience_n because_o be_v eat_v not_o of_o faith_n for_o whatsoever_o be_v not_o of_o faith_n be_v sin_n but_o those_o that_o rather_o out_o of_o malice_n and_o obstinacy_n than_o out_o of_o mere_a weakness_n and_o fear_n do_v make_v it_o necessary_a after_o such_o a_o manner_n that_o they_o not_o only_o for_o themselves_o believe_v and_o do_v it_o which_o they_o so_o fierce_o insist_v upon_o and_o whereon_o common_o all_o the_o controversy_n depend_v be_v not_o only_o agreeable_a to_o truth_n but_o also_o absolute_o necessary_a unto_o salvation_n but_o we_o shall_v soon_o prove_v those_o not_o to_o be_v warrantable_a by_o scripture_n than_o they_o shall_v make_v they_o good_a to_o be_v necessary_a see_v we_o can_v find_v any_o wherein_o the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o truth_n much_o less_o the_o necessity_n thereof_o for_o what_o be_v then_o that_o be_v necessary_a unto_o salvation_n we_o agree_v already_o both_o in_o this_o against_o the_o papist_n namely_o that_o whatsoever_o be_v necessary_a unto_o salvation_n be_v plain_o and_o express_o teach_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n but_o whatsoever_o be_v only_o bare_a our_o natural_a reason_n as_o for_o example_n when_o the_o lord_n speak_v of_o the_o bread_n take_v eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n they_o make_v it_o to_o be_v equivalent_a as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v eat_v my_o body_n in_o and_o with_o the_o bread_n and_o that_o he_o mean_v a_o natural_a corporal_a and_o carnal_a eat_n likewise_o when_o the_o lord_n say_v i_o be_o with_o you_o till_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n they_o infer_v that_o his_o body_n also_o be_v present_a with_o we_o because_o jesus_n christ_n or_o his_o godhead_n be_v nowhere_o without_o his_o body_n or_o separate_v from_o it_o but_o although_o this_o may_v seem_v to_o they_o in_o their_o reason_n to_o be_v a_o clear_a and_o plain_a exposition_n or_o a_o necessary_a consequence_n yet_o we_o examine_v and_o compare_v not_o only_a our_o reason_n but_o also_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n himself_o and_o not_o the_o five_o word_n by_o themselves_o alone_o but_o all_o the_o word_n of_o the_o whole_a institution_n together_o yea_o of_o the_o whole_a scripture_n we_o find_v the_o contrary_a a_o great_a deal_n clear_a and_o plain_a that_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o agreeable_a to_o their_o interpretation_n nor_o their_o consequence_n of_o any_o validity_n much_o less_o of_o necessity_n for_o indeed_o this_o be_v plain_a and_o manifest_a that_o christ_n say_v to_o his_o disciple_n take_v eat_v speak_v of_o the_o bread_n which_o he_o take_v break_v and_o give_v to_o they_o and_o that_o he_o mean_v there_o a_o corporal_a carnal_a visible_a and_o natural_a eat_n of_o the_o bread_n and_o it_o be_v also_o manifest_a and_o evident_a that_o he_o speak_v of_o that_o bread_n this_o which_o i_o have_v break_v and_o give_v this_o bread_n which_o you_o take_v and_o eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n which_o shall_v be_v give_v for_o you_o but_o that_o this_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v after_o a_o carnal_a and_o corporal_a manner_n so_o that_o his_o body_n who_o sit_v with_o they_o at_o table_n and_o reach_v to_o they_o the_o bread_n have_v be_v invisible_o in_o and_o under_o the_o bread_n and_o eat_v though_o supernatural_o with_o their_o carnal_a mouth_n be_v no_o way_n clear_a and_o manifest_a but_o they_o themselves_o and_o the_o papist_n also_o notwithstanding_o they_o adhere_v and_o insist_v both_o upon_o the_o literal_a sense_n yet_o they_o can_v agree_v among_o themselves_o in_o their_o pretend_a literal_a meaning_n and_o beside_o they_o both_o must_v confess_v that_o they_o be_v word_n of_o peculiar_a mystery_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v
