most_o dangerous_o mistake_v the_o error_n of_o our_o forefather_n which_o be_v not_o in_o that_o they_o do_v good_a work_n i_o will_v we_o do_v so_o but_o because_o they_o know_v not_o right_o the_o end_n why_o they_o do_v they_o nor_o where_o the_o value_n of_o they_o lay_v they_o think_v the_o end_n of_o do_v they_o be_v to_o obtain_v eternal_a life_n as_o a_o reward_n of_o justice_n due_a unto_o they_o whereas_o it_o be_v only_o of_o grace_n and_o promise_v in_o christ_n jesus_n they_o take_v their_o work_n to_o have_v such_o perfectness_n in_o they_o as_o will_v endure_v the_o touchstone_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n yea_o such_o worth_a and_o value_n as_o to_o merit_v the_o reward_n they_o look_v for_o whereas_o all_o the_o value_n and_o acceptablenesse_n of_o our_o work_n issue_v from_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n and_o lie_v only_o in_o his_o righteousness_n communicate_v unto_o we_o and_o they_o by_o faith_n and_o no_o otherwise_o but_o set_v aside_o these_o error_n ordain_v as_o namely_o to_o believe_v to_o attain_v salvation_n through_o he_o without_o work_n of_o obedience_n to_o be_v accept_v of_o god_n in_o he_o which_o be_v a_o faith_n whereof_o there_o be_v no_o gospel_n a_o true_a faith_n be_v to_o believe_v salvation_n be_v to_o be_v attain_v through_o obedience_n to_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n who_o by_o his_o merit_n and_o righteousness_n make_v ourselves_o and_o our_o work_n acceptable_a to_o his_o father_n a_o save_v and_o justify_v faith_n be_v to_o believe_v this_o so_o as_o to_o embrace_v and_o lay_v hold_v upon_o christ_n for_o that_o they_o for_o in_o he_o alone_a god_n be_v well_o please_v with_o we_o and_o with_o what_o we_o do_v and_o therefore_o without_o faith_n and_o reliance_n upon_o he_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o please_v god_n we_o must_v not_o think_v there_o be_v any_o worth_n in_o our_o work_n for_o which_o any_o such_o reward_n as_o god_n have_v promise_v be_v due_a for_o alas_o our_o best_a work_n be_v full_a of_o imperfection_n and_o far_o short_a of_o what_o the_o law_n require_v our_o reward_n therefore_o be_v not_o of_o merit_n but_o of_o the_o merciful_a promise_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n which_o the_o apostle_n mean_v when_o he_o say_v we_o be_v save_v by_o grace_n and_o not_o by_o work_n that_o be_v it_o be_v the_o grace_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n which_o make_v ourselves_o acceptable_a and_o our_o work_n rewardable_a and_o not_o any_o desert_n in_o they_o or_o we_o have_v lay_v this_o foundation_n the_o next_o thing_n require_v be_v sincerity_n of_o heart_n in_o do_v they_o we_o must_v do_v they_o out_o of_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o conscience_n of_o his_o commandment_n
