particular_n of_o this_o judgement_n of_o chastisement_n for_o this_o cause_n many_o be_v weak_a and_o sickly_a among_o you_o and_o many_o sleep_n ver_fw-la 30._o mark_n what_o be_v the_o judgement_n he_o eat_v why_o this_o he_o be_v cast_v upon_o his_o bed_n of_o sickness_n into_o a_o consumption_n perchance_o or_o some_o other_o corporal_a disease_n a_o cause_n physician_n seldom_o or_o never_o look_v into_o they_o look_v to_o ague_n cold_n or_o the_o like_a they_o never_o once_o conjecture_v that_o their_o unworthy_a eat_n at_o the_o lord_n table_n cast_v they_o into_o the_o disease_n and_o be_v the_o principal_a cause_n of_o the_o malady_n nay_o death_n itself_o too_o often_o be_v the_o punishment_n of_o such_o bold_a attempt_n so_o that_o all_o the_o physician_n in_o the_o world_n believer_n have_v faith_n repentance_n and_o a_o portion_n in_o your_o saviour_n come_v irreverent_o come_v unprepared_o perform_v a_o spiritual_a work_n so_o carnal_o we_o have_v precedent_n hereof_o in_o scriptureâ—_n and_o chief_o two_o first_o for_o circumcision_n exod._n 4.24_o at_o the_o 21._o v_o god_n send_v moses_n on_o a_o message_n into_o egypt_n and_o in_o the_o 24._o vers_fw-la the_o text_n say_v it_o come_v to_o pass_v by_o the_o way_n in_o the_o inn_n that_o the_o lord_n meet_v he_o and_o seek_v to_o kill_v he_o this_o be_v very_o strange_a this_o have_v no_o dependence_n on_o manasseh_n issachar_n and_o zebulon_n have_v not_o cleanse_v themselves_o yet_o do_v they_o eat_v the_o passover_n otherwise_o then_o it_o be_v write_v there_o be_v many_o likewise_o in_o the_o congregation_n that_o be_v not_o sanctify_v and_o therefore_o god_n punish_v they_o it_o be_v not_o set_v down_o in_o what_o manner_n god_n punish_v they_o yet_o by_o the_o consequent_a it_o may_v nation_n for_o this_o fault_n that_o he_o even_o smite_v a_o people_n to_o death_n but_o we_o pass_v from_o this_o and_o come_v to_o the_o particular_n 3._o the_o particular_n of_o this_o offence_n and_o wherein_o it_o consist_v that_o a_o man_n come_v unworthy_o that_o so_o we_o may_v know_v whether_o we_o be_v guilty_a of_o the_o crime_n know_v therefore_o that_o there_o be_v two_o sort_n that_o come_v to_o the_o communion_n first_o those_o to_o who_o the_o business_n do_v not_o belong_v that_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o thing_n as_o open_o profane_a one_o second_o such_o as_o have_v interest_n in_o the_o matter_n but_o yet_o come_v unprepared_o and_o in_o a_o unbeseeming_a manner_n the_o former_a take_v part_n in_o the_o sign_n but_o enjoy_v not_o the_o thing_n signify_v and_o the_o latter_a come_n unprepared_o depart_v without_o the_o comfort_n which_o otherwise_o they_o may_v have_v now_o mark_v to_o who_o christ_n will_v say_v if_o he_o be_v now_o come_v to_o judgement_n in_o the_o cloud_n to_o who_o i_o say_v if_o he_o be_v now_o come_v in_o the_o cloud_n he_o will_v say_v come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n inherit_v a_o kingdom_n prepare_v for_o you_o from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n to_o they_o he_o will_v likewise_o say_v come_v to_o my_o table_n come_v to_o this_o banquet_n partake_v of_o my_o body_n and_o blood_n and_o to_o as_o many_o as_o he_o will_v say_v depart_v from_o i_o you_o curse_a into_o everlasting_a flame_n to_o so_o many_o will_v he_o say_v go_v you_o from_o my_o table_n come_v not_o near_o now_o there_o and_o foot_n but_o that_o which_o he_o shed_v in_o the_o garden_n in_o the_o cold_a winter_n time_n when_o he_o shed_v great_a drop_n great_a clot_n of_o blood_n thick_a blood_n that_o pierce_v his_o garment_n and_o run_v down_o upon_o the_o ground_n consider_v how_o much_o blood_n he_o lose_v when_o he_o be_v whip_v and_o lash_v when_o the_o spear_n come_v to_o the_o very_a pericardium_n thus_o have_v a_o good_a opinion_n of_o themselves_o but_o our_o saviour_n say_v you_o be_v bond-mâ—n_a unto_o sin_n and_o satan_n for_o till_o the_o son_n make_v you_o free_a you_o be_v all_o bondman_n but_o when_o he_o make_v you_o free_a then_o be_v you_o free_a indeed_o so_o that_o we_o see_v our_o condition_n here_o set_v down_o 1._o we_o be_v dead_a in_o trespass_n and_o sin_n that_o be_v there_o be_v a_o indisposition_n in_o we_o to_o all_o good_a work_n a_o dead_a man_n can_v walk_v or_o speak_v or_o do_v any_o act_n of_o a_o live_a man_n so_o these_o can_v do_v the_o action_n of_o man_n that_o be_v quicken_v and_o enliven_v they_o can_v pray_v with_o the_o spirit_n they_o can_v love_v god_n etc._n etc._n they_o can_v do_v those_o thing_n that_o shall_v be_v do_v hereafter_o in_o heaven_n there_o be_v not_o one_o good_a duty_n which_o this_o natural_a man_n can_v do_v if_o it_o shall_v be_v say_v unto_o he_o think_v but_o one_o good_a thought_n and_o for_o it_o thou_o shall_v go_v to_o heaven_n he_o can_v not_o think_v it_o till_o god_n raise_v he_o from_o the_o sink_n of_o sin_n as_o he_o do_v lazarus_n from_o the_o grave_n he_o can_v do_v any_o thing_n that_o to_o a_o man_n that_o be_v in_o christ._n there_o be_v no_o proportionable_a merit_n in_o a_o cup_n of_o cold_a water_n and_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n yet_o he_o that_o give_v a_o cup_n of_o cold_a water_n to_o a_o disciple_n in_o the_o name_n of_o a_o disciple_n shall_v not_o lose_v his_o reward_n here_o then_o be_v the_o point_n the_o best_a thing_n that_o a_o natural_a man_n do_v god_n can_v so_o relish_v with_o god_n as_o that_o he_o shall_v take_v delight_n in_o it_o or_o reward_v it_o whereas_o the_o least_o good_a thing_n that_o come_v from_o another_o root_n from_o a_o quicken_v spirit_n be_v acceptable_a and_o well-pleasing_a to_o he_o consider_v for_o this_o end_n that_o which_o be_v set_v down_o prov._n 15.8_o take_v the_o best_a work_n of_o a_o natural_a man_n condition_n till_o we_o be_v ingraft_v into_o christ_n and_o live_v by_o his_o life_n god_n will_v own_v nothing_o we_o do_v but_o now_o we_o be_v not_o only_o dead_a and_o indispose_v to_o the_o work_n of_o a_o live_a man_n though_o this_o be_v a_o very_a woeful_a case_n and_o we_o need_v no_o more_o misery_n for_o this_o will_v bring_v we_o to_o be_v cut_v down_o and_o cast_v into_o the_o fire_n if_o we_o continue_v so_o but_o this_o be_v not_o only_o the_o case_n of_o a_o natural_a man_n but_o he_o be_v very_o active_a and_o fruitful_a in_o the_o work_n of_o darkness_n the_o other_o be_v sin_n of_o omission_n here_o he_o be_v whole_o set_v upon_o the_o commission_n of_o sin_n and_o trespass_n heb._n 6.7_o he_o not_o only_o bring_v not_o forth_o meet_v fruit_n or_o good_a fruit_n or_o no_o fruit_n but_o he_o bring_v forth_o thorn_n and_o brier_n and_o be_v therefore_o reject_v and_o nigh_o unto_o curse_v who_o end_n be_v to_o be_v burn_v thou_o be_v not_o only_o find_v a_o not_o be_v expect_v but_o we_o have_v hear_v the_o word_n often_o and_o powerful_o teach_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v expect_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o only_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n but_o meet_v fruit_n answerable_a to_o the_o mean_n where_o god_n afford_v great_a mean_n there_o he_o expect_v most_o fruit_n if_o a_o man_n live_v thirty_o or_o forty_o year_n under_o powerful_a mean_n the_o lord_n expect_v answerable_a fruit_n which_o if_o he_o bring_v forth_o he_o shall_v have_v a_o blessing_n from_o the_o lord_n but_o when_o a_o man_n have_v live_v long_o under_o the_o mean_n and_o bring_v forth_o no_o fruit_n please_v to_o god_n but_o all_o god_n cost_n be_v lose_v when_o notwithstanding_o the_o dew_n and_o the_o rain_n which_o fall_v oft_o upon_o he_o he_o bring_v forth_o nothing_o but_o thorn_n and_o brier_n he_o be_v reject_v and_o nigh_o unto_o curse_v who_o end_n be_v to_o be_v burn_v the_o earth_n which_o drink_v in_o the_o former_a and_o the_o latter_a rain_n they_o receive_v grace_n from_o christ._n we_o be_v all_o of_o one_o nature_n and_o natural_o all_o the_o thought_n and_o imagination_n of_o our_o heart_n be_v only_o evil_a continual_o see_v it_o
