fall_n and_o a_o hypocrite_n know_v that_o to_o cover_v his_o wickedness_n he_o must_v show_v some_o goodness_n but_o look_v to_o the_o continual_a course_n of_o both_o and_o thou_o shall_v find_v one_o good_a general_o though_o sometime_o frail_a and_o the_o other_o often_o gross_o transgress_v though_o much_o cover_n his_o rot_a heart_n the_o thing_n wherein_o especial_o thou_o shall_v try_v the_o difference_n may_v be_v these_o first_o a_o love_n to_o christ_n second_o a_o love_n of_o christ_n voice_n three_o a_o love_n of_o the_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o a_o rejoice_v in_o they_o who_o excel_v in_o virtue_n now_o these_o thing_n will_v again_o appear_v if_o for_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n the_o love_n of_o his_o word_n and_o the_o love_n of_o his_o member_n a_o man_n be_v ordinary_o content_v to_o lose_v sinful_a profit_n or_o pleasure_n and_o with_o the_o steward_n to_o write_v 50._o for_o a_o 100_o this_o be_v the_o touchstone_n of_o a_o christian_a even_o the_o take_n up_o of_o the_o cross_n forsake_v all_o and_o follow_v christ._n but_o this_o the_o hypocrite_n can_v abide_v he_o serve_v christ_n that_o christ_n may_v serve_v he_o to_o get_v pleasure_n and_o profit_n by_o he_o not_o to_o lose_v by_o he_o part._n 8._o but_o now_o here_o come_v in_o the_o many_o story_n which_o condemn_v these_o pure_a man_n to_o be_v guilty_a against_o these_o duty_n and_o so_o to_o be_v hypocrite_n yet_o run_v not_o away_o too_o fast_o with_o this_o neither_o but_o even_o in_o the_o point_n of_o hear_v report_n take_v also_o some_o discretion_n with_o you_o for_o against_o good_a man_n very_o common_o be_v bold_a and_o confident_a slander_n raise_v which_o by_o their_o stoutness_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v truth_n itself_o but_o let_v not_o the_o wise_a believe_v they_o before_o examination_n for_o most_o common_o in_o the_o very_a tell_n of_o they_o will_v appear_v a_o venom_n and_o malice_n the_o true_a issue_n of_o the_o old_a serpent_n and_o upon_o far_a trial_n falsehood_n and_o lie_v the_o natural_a brother_n of_o the_o former_a and_o a_o true_o beget_v son_n of_o the_o accuser_n of_o the_o brethren_n he_o begin_v the_o rule_n in_o paradise_n and_o will_v continue_v even_o to_o the_o new_a jerusalem_n lie_v bold_o for_o some_o of_o it_o will_v stick_v fast_o for_o ever_o and_o how_o can_v it_o be_v otherwise_o since_o the_o laziness_n of_o man_n be_v such_o that_o they_o will_v believe_v a_o report_n at_o the_o first_o tell_v rather_o than_o trouble_v themselves_o to_o examine_v and_o find_v out_o the_o truth_n which_o only_o shall_v be_v believe_v &_o withal_o their_o maliciousness_n be_v so_o great_a that_o they_o be_v willing_a and_o ready_a to_o receive_v evil_a report_n yea_o they_o delight_v in_o they_o but_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n know_v that_o the_o last_o judgement_n shall_v be_v by_o word_n and_o that_o a_o rash_a and_o a_o bitter_a judge_n shall_v though_o not_o rash_o yet_o severe_o be_v judge_v therefore_o according_a to_o the_o psalmist_n the_o good_a man_n be_v merciful_a and_o guide_v his_o word_n with_o discretion_n he_o incline_v natural_o to_o believe_v good_a rather_o than_o evil_a yet_o avoid_v
