that_o of_o very_a purpose_n man_n be_v cast_v unto_o satan_n and_o eternal_a damnation_n by_o false_a teacher_n and_o minister_n of_o iniquity_n now_o consider_v whether_o it_o be_v not_o better_o with_o trouble_n to_o keep_v and_o enjoy_v the_o word_n of_o god_n then_o with_o loss_n of_o the_o word_n to_o live_v in_o peace_n and_o tranquillity_n though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o heavenly_a a_o peace_n as_o for_o i_o i_o will_v not_o desire_v to_o live_v in_o paradise_n without_o the_o word_n and_o with_o the_o word_n to_o live_v in_o hell_n it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n like_v as_o in_o this_o world_n we_o live_v as_o it_o be_v in_o hell_n and_o comfort_v ourselves_o only_o with_o hope_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n show_v unto_o we_o and_o with_o this_o hope_n we_o overcome_v all_o kind_n of_o trouble_n &_o cross_n let_v we_o therefore_o lay_v sure_a hold_n on_o this_o consolation_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n here_o set_v forth_o unto_o we_o whereof_o also_o all_o they_o have_v great_a need_n that_o teach_v the_o word_n of_o truth_n namely_o that_o they_o be_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o offence_n trouble_n and_o sedition_n there_o must_v needs_o be_v offence_n there_o we_o in_o this_o psalm_n with_o thankfulness_n to_o acknowledge_v this_o singular_a benefit_n of_o the_o word_n and_o to_o beware_v of_o the_o horrible_a contempt_n thereof_o how_o much_o better_a true_a service_n and_o worship_n of_o god_n what_o shall_v i_o say_v more_o david_n have_v not_o many_o fellow_n whether_o you_o consider_v his_o life_n and_o his_o faith_n or_o the_o witness_n pronounce_v of_o he_o by_o the_o lord_n himself_o and_o yet_o he_o notwithstanding_o so_o excellent_a and_o so_o holy_a a_o man_n be_v compel_v plain_o to_o confess_v his_o imperfection_n say_v if_o able_a to_o abide_v it_o or_o to_o stand_v in_o thy_o sight_n oh_o lord_n wherefore_o let_v no_o man_n trust_v that_o by_o his_o own_o merit_n or_o righteousness_n he_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o stand_v against_o the_o terror_n of_o death_n and_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n neither_o do_v i_o suppose_v that_o amongst_o our_o adversary_n there_o be_v any_o such_o as_o dare_v presume_v to_o their_o own_o merit_n and_o yet_o will_v they_o force_v other_o so_o to_o do_v or_o most_o cruel_o condemn_v they_o for_o heretic_n thus_o we_o be_v teach_v by_o the_o experience_n of_o all_o such_o as_o be_v not_o utter_o void_a of_o understanding_n that_o no_o man_n live_v overcome_v by_o his_o own_o work_n or_o righteousness_n in_o god_n sight_n and_o yet_o the_o whole_a nature_n of_o man_n when_o it_o be_v not_o under_o tentation_n still_o look_v unto_o work_n and_o seek_v mean_n how_o it_o may_v by_o they_o please_v god_n but_o here_o be_v set_v forth_o unto_o we_o a_o simple_a and_o contention_n how_o easy_o man_n be_v carry_v away_o from_o this_o knowledge_n to_o contention_n and_o disputation_n either_o public_o or_o private_o when_o we_o take_v upon_o we_o the_o defence_n of_o true_a and_o sincere_a doctrine_n and_o be_v in_o a_o goodly_a forwardness_n thereof_o at_o the_o first_o we_o be_v much_o trouble_v with_o seditious_a person_n with_o anabaptist_n and_o other_o sectary_n with_o these_o spirit_n while_o we_o contend_v our_o former_a exercise_n and_o diligence_n in_o set_v forth_o this_o doctrine_n be_v almost_o forget_v for_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o lose_v be_v to_o be_v mark_v which_o follow_v grace_n i_o put_v my_o trust_n in_o his_o word_n the_o jew_n the_o pope_n and_o other_o heretic_n say_v that_o they_o also_o do_v trust_v but_o they_o leave_v the_o word_n and_o follow_v their_o own_o imagination_n this_o may_v be_v
pray_v let_v the_o faithful_a rest_n therefore_o in_o this_o comfort_n that_o their_o oppression_n and_o affliction_n shall_v never_o be_v so_o great_a but_o their_o deliverance_n shall_v be_v great_a
