have_v such_o a_o vital_a influence_n upon_o our_o faith_n and_o that_o the_o will_n contribute_v so_o much_o to_o believe_v by_o prevail_v with_o the_o understanding_n to_o contemplate_v on_o and_o frequent_o converse_v with_o and_o with_o great_a advertency_n attend_v to_o those_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a object_n and_o the_o motive_n to_o believe_v they_o it_o do_v therefore_o follow_v second_o that_o whatsoever_o do_v engage_v the_o heart_n and_o take_v the_o will_v off_o so_o as_o that_o they_o do_v not_o cause_v this_o application_n of_o mind_n that_o must_v needs_o weaken_v and_o either_o little_a probability_n that_o work_v upon_o that_o or_o the_o art_n of_o seduce_a teacher_n or_o else_o especial_o which_o be_v most_o consequent_a upon_o any_o close_a affliction_n scruple_n rise_v through_o application_n of_o god_n judgement_n or_o interpretation_n of_o the_o incomprehensible_a procedure_v of_o his_o providence_n if_o these_o scruple_n come_v to_o work_v the_o understanding_n so_o as_o that_o it_o usual_o entertain_v the_o will_n with_o no_o proposal_n else_o which_o happen_v very_o frequent_o and_o if_o it_o do_v thus_o even_o till_o the_o will_v delight_v itself_o in_o these_o its_o self-tormenting_n and_o engage_v the_o whole_a man_n in_o a_o continual_a converse_n with_o they_o so_o that_o he_o come_v to_o love_v to_o aggravate_v his_o fear_n against_o himself_o and_o wilful_o retain_v they_o and_o dwell_v on_o they_o will_v not_o be_v divert_v from_o such_o thought_n which_o do_v not_o only_o with_o these_o their_o envenom_a dart_n stab_v and_o wound_v the_o mind_n perpetual_o and_o the_o poison_n of_o they_o drink_v up_o his_o spirit_n but_o they_o wound_v his_o faith_n as_o when_o those_o scruple_n be_v in_o great_a measure_n and_o the_o blood_n and_o such_o impetuousness_n in_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o appetite_n that_o the_o will_n be_v hurry_v along_o with_o they_o with_o a_o blind_a precipitation_n and_o a_o headlong_a no_o force_n and_o consequent_o the_o belief_n itself_o be_v loose_a and_o scarce_o have_v the_o assurance_n of_o a_o thin_a opinion_n if_o it_o be_v examine_v and_o of_o all_o this_o the_o experience_n be_v so_o dreadful_a that_o we_o daily_o see_v if_o man_n go_v on_o so_o far_o as_o to_o indulge_v their_o appetite_n habitual_o that_o their_o mind_n be_v thereby_o take_v altogether_o
