the_o principle_n nor_o act_n deliver_v from_o the_o sin_n by_o he_o before_o commit_v this_o be_v evident_a by_o many_o reason_n first_o because_o it_o be_v not_o a_o righteousness_n able_a to_o answer_v the_o demand_n of_o the_o law_n for_o sin_n that_o require_v not_o only_o a_o perfect_a abide_n in_o the_o thing_n command_v but_o a_o satisfaction_n by_o death_n for_o the_o transgression_n commit_v against_o the_o law_n 6._o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n wherefore_o he_o that_o will_v undertake_v the_o salvation_n of_o the_o world_n must_v be_v one_o who_o can_v do_v both_o these_o thing_n one_o that_o can_v perfect_o do_v the_o demand_n of_o the_o law_n in_o thought_n word_n and_o deed_n without_o the_o least_o commixture_n of_o the_o least_o sinful_a thought_n in_o earthly_a adam_n but_o by_o the_o lord_n from_o heaven_n by_o one_o that_o can_v abollish_v sin_n destroy_v the_o devil_n kill_v death_n and_o rule_n as_o lord_n in_o heaven_n and_o earth_n now_o the_o word_n and_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n declare_v he_o to_o be_v such_o a_o one_o he_o be_v first_o without_o sin_n then_o he_o do_v no_o sin_n neither_o can_v either_o the_o devil_n the_o other_o then_o barbarous_a quakerism_n the_o stress_n of_o their_o write_n also_o tend_v to_o no_o other_o purpose_n but_o you_o tell_v we_o that_o you_o scarce_o admire_v at_o any_o thing_n more_o in_o all_o your_o life_n then_o that_o any_o worthy_a man_n especial_o shall_v be_v so_o difficulty_n persuade_v to_o receive_v or_o embrace_v this_o account_n of_o justify_v faith_n and_o shall_v perplex_v and_o make_v intricate_a so_o plain_a a_o doctrine_n answ._n and_o doubtless_o they_o far_o more_o ground_o stand_v amaze_v at_o such_o as_o you_o who_o while_o you_o pretend_v to_o show_v only_a the_o precept_n of_o rely_v upon_o christ_n merit_n for_o the_o obtain_n of_o it_o especial_o when_o it_o be_v no_o less_o manifest_a than_o the_o sun_n at_o noonday_n that_o obedience_n to_o the_o other_o precept_n must_v go_v before_o obedience_n to_o this_o and_o that_o a_o man_n may_v not_o rely_v upon_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n for_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o he_o
