but_o even_o their_o mind_n and_o conscience_n be_v defile_v in_o which_o word_n by_o pure_a he_o mean_v they_o who_o heart_n be_v purify_v by_o faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n as_o the_o we_o be_v justify_v before_o god_n three_o let_v this_o teach_v we_o how_o to_o examine_v our_o work_n whether_o they_o be_v good_a or_o no._n be_v they_o the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n do_v they_o proceed_v from_o a_o true_a and_o lively_a faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n be_v the_o fountain_n pure_a whence_o they_o spring_v and_o their_o end_n good_a whereunto_o they_o tend_v then_o be_v we_o and_o that_o be_v christ_n jesus_n by_o the_o grace_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n 3.5_o 2_o cor._n 3.5_o for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v we_o be_v not_o sufficient_a of_o ourselves_o to_o think_v any_o thing_n as_o of_o ourselves_o but_o our_o sufficiency_n be_v of_o god_n now_o if_o of_o ourselves_o we_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o think_v a_o good_a thought_n but_o that_o must_v only_o be_v suggest_v by_o god_n spirit_n then_o how_o shall_v we_o be_v sufficient_a of_o ourselves_o to_o do_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a nay_o our_o apostle_n tell_v we_o in_o the_o next_o chapter_n 13._o 13._o that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o work_v in_o we_o both_o the_o will_n and_o the_o deed_n even_o of_o his_o good_a pleasure_n neither_o thought_n of_o the_o heart_n nor_o affection_n of_o the_o will_n nor_o work_v of_o the_o hand_n but_o if_o it_o be_v good_a it_o be_v by_o the_o operation_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n in_o us._n nay_o take_v a_o argument_n even_o from_o hence_o good_a work_n they_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n now_o do_v the_o fruit_n of_o a_o tree_n bud_n or_o grow_v by_o the_o labour_n or_o skill_n of_o man_n nay_o he_o plant_v and_o water_v but_o god_n only_o give_v the_o fruit_n in_o due_a season_n right_o so_o it_o be_v not_o in_o man_n to_o do_v that_o be_v good_a but_o if_o he_o do_v that_o be_v good_a it_o be_v of_o god_n work_v of_o himself_o he_o may_v and_o to_o work_v that_o which_o be_v evil_a he_o be_v too_o prone_a of_o himself_o but_o if_o he_o work_v any_o think_v that_o be_v acceptable_a unto_o god_n it_o be_v whole_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o why_o that_o god_n may_v be_v all_o in_o all_o and_o that_o he_o may_v have_v the_o glory_n of_o all_o let_v this_o sufficient_o warn_v we_o to_o beware_v of_o they_o and_o arm_v we_o against_o they_o that_o will_v persuade_v we_o that_o we_o be_v able_a of_o ourselves_o to_o do_v that_o be_v good_a at_o least_o if_o we_o be_v holpen_v by_o grace_n if_o we_o think_v or_o will_v or_o do_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a whatsoever_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n it_o be_v that_o be_v in_o we_o it_o be_v by_o jesus_n christ_n not_o of_o ourselves_o for_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a but_o be_v whole_o and_o only_o carry_v to_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o can_v do_v nothing_o else_o but_o sin_n lie_v bind_v in_o the_o chain_n of_o sin_n not_o as_o a_o man_n fetter_v which_o have_v a_o desire_n to_o be_v loose_a but_o of_o himself_o natural_o willing_a and_o desirous_a so_o to_o lie_v the_o natural_a man_n say_v the_o apostle_n perceive_v conform_v ourselves_o unto_o the_o will_n of_o god_n set_v down_o in_o his_o word_n as_o touch_v i_o say_v our_o faith_n and_o repentance_n so_o touch_v our_o love_n whether_o we_o love_v one_o another_o so_o that_o as_o member_n of_o the_o same_o body_n we_o bear_v one_o with_o another_o and_o help_v one_o another_o for_o as_o faith_n and_o repentance_n towards_o god_n so_o this_o love_n in_o all_o their_o prophecy_n and_o what_o each_o of_o they_o say_v in_o their_o several_a prophecy_n do_v not_o all_o the_o prophet_n in_o all_o their_o prophecy_n beat_v wonderful_o much_o upon_o they_o must_v have_v novelty_n they_o must_v have_v variety_n of_o matter_n though_o when_o they_o have_v hear_v they_o can_v make_v any_o account_n of_o that_o they_o have_v hear_v yea_o to_o such_o daintiness_n be_v our_o auditory_a grow_v 11.5_o num._n 11.5_o that_o if_o we_o feed_v they_o only_o with_o manna_n only_o with_o the_o holy_a word_n of_o life_n the_o heavenly_a food_n of_o our_o soul_n they_o will_v quick_o grow_v to_o loathe_v it_o 11.6_o num._n 11.6_o and_o to_o long_o and_o greedy_o to_o lust_n after_o such_o fish_n and_o flesh_n as_o they_o be_v wont_a to_o have_v even_o in_o egypt_n nay_o if_o they_o may_v have_v but_o cucumber_n and_o pepon_n and_o leek_n and_o onion_n and_o garlic_n such_o as_o they_o have_v in_o egypt_n they_o have_v rather_o have_v it_o then_o it_o not_o as_o not_o either_o needful_a or_o not_o profitable_a for_o they_o hear_v then_o i_o beseech_v you_o what_o our_o holy_a apostle_n say_v for_o your_o instruction_n in_o this_o point_n for_o you_o say_v he_o it_o be_v a_o sure_a thing_n a_o safe_a and_o good_a course_n for_o you_o that_o you_o be_v often_o tell_v of_o the_o same_o thing_n see_v then_o the_o odds_o between_o your_o conceit_n and_o the_o apostle_n his_o resolution_n to_o hear_v often_o of_o the_o same_o thing_n be_v a_o tedious_a thing_n to_o you_o but_o the_o apostle_n think_v it_o a_o very_a sure_a and_o safe_a the_o same_o thing_n the_o reason_n why_o it_o be_v good_a for_o you_o often_o to_o hear_v the_o same_o thing_n be_v these_o 1._o by_o hear_v the_o same_o thing_n often_o your_o dull_a and_o unexpert_a understanding_n be_v much_o holpen_v for_o thus_o the_o thing_n which_o happy_o at_o the_o first_o seem_v hard_a to_o be_v understand_v and_o which_o you_o be_v not_o able_a to_o comprehend_v and_o conceive_v do_v afterward_o become_v plain_a and_o easy_a unto_o you_o and_o this_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o sometime_o we_o do_v so_o long_o stand_v a_o teach_n the_o same_o lesson_n unto_o they_o that_o be_v young_a choler_n in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o inexpert_a in_o the_o word_n of_o righteousness_n 2_o by_o hear_v the_o same_o thing_n often_o you_o be_v stir_v up_o both_o unto_o great_a carefullnesse_n and_o likewise_o unto_o great_a wariness_n than_o otherwise_o happy_o you_o will_v for_o if_o the_o thing_n be_v such_o as_o you_o shall_v learn_v and_o follow_v after_o you_o â—ill_v quick_o see_v that_o they_o much_o concern_v you_o because_o they_o be_v so_o often_o beat_v upon_o and_o therefore_o you_o will_v be_v careful_a to_o lay_v they_o
