confess_v our_o blindness_n to_o pray_v that_o god_n will_v give_v we_o eye_n and_o restore_v our_o understanding_n to_o its_o first_o perfection_n else_o though_o the_o light_n shine_v round_o about_o we_o make_v all_o thing_n wherein_o god_n be_v to_o be_v know_v most_o appparant_a and_o visible_a yet_o we_o may_v still_o lie_v in_o darkness_n and_o perish_v in_o our_o ignorance_n this_o all_o experience_n which_o speak_v the_o contrary_n the_o truth_n be_v this_o as_o we_o be_v fall_v out_o with_o god_n so_o be_v we_o at_o odds_n with_o ourselves_o and_o our_o affection_n be_v not_o more_o often_o mislead_v by_o our_o erroneous_a understanding_n than_o our_o understanding_n and_o right_a judgement_n be_v hale_v aside_o by_o our_o vicious_a affection_n what_o man_n in_o the_o world_n that_o know_v himself_o but_o will_v confess_v that_o even_o in_o naturalibus_fw-la and_o moralibus_fw-la much_o more_o in_o spiritualibus_fw-la he_o may_v often_o say_v with_o medea_n from_o the_o habit_n but_o from_o the_o act_n of_o faith_n which_o be_v transient_a and_o vanish_v faith_n cease_v when_o they_o cease_v so_o that_o belike_o when_o a_o godly_a man_n be_v asleep_a 2d_o he_o have_v no_o faith_n when_o noah_n and_o all_o his_o family_n be_v asleep_a in_o the_o ark_n than_o faith_n cease_v in_o the_o church_n and_o see_v by_o faith_n we_o please_v god_n man_n asleep_a or_o die_a in_o a_o lethargy_n do_v not_o please_v god_n it_o be_v wonder_n but_o these_o man_n will_v deny_v all_o other_o habit_n too_o and_o say_v that_o david_n have_v no_o skill_n in_o appropriate_v it_o to_o that_o act_n without_o so_o much_o as_o once_o mention_v any_o other_o grace_n this_o narrow_a conceit_n touch_v our_o conversion_n be_v that_o which_o have_v fill_v the_o write_n of_o many_o learned_a about_o this_o point_n with_o much_o darkness_n and_o confusion_n they_o so_o speak_v and_o write_v of_o conversion_n as_o if_o it_o begin_v in_o that_o one_o and_o only_a action_n of_o man_n will_n consent_v to_o the_o promise_n of_o mercy_n in_o christ._n but_o this_o be_v without_o all_o ground_n to_o convert_v be_v not_o only_o to_o believe_v but_o to_o
