this_o condemn_v papist_n 1_o that_o boast_v of_o holiness_n of_o life_n and_o yet_o overthrow_v the_o foundation_n of_o it_o viz._n a_o true_a justify_v faith_n they_o may_v stir_v up_o good_a mood_n and_o a_o blind_a devotion_n by_o scare_v man_n with_o the_o pain_n of_o hell_n and_o tell_v they_o of_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n but_o no_o sound_a obedience_n godly_a life_n renounce_v lust_n etc._n etc._n without_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n from_o that_o will_v be_v obedience_n even_o to_o suffer_v 2._o it_o confute_v they_o that_o think_v repentance_n be_v before_o faith_n 2._o they_o be_v indeed_o wrought_v at_o once_o and_o repentance_n show_v itself_o first_o but_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n faith_n be_v as_o the_o root_n many_o humble_a soul_n hold_v off_o and_o dare_v not_o upon_o some_o occasion_n thus_o promise_n you_o shall_v never_o hear_v i_o swear_v more_o i_o will_v never_o play_v more_o never_o come_v in_o a_o alehouse_n yet_o this_o last_v not_o but_o they_o fall_v to_o their_o old_a byase_n by_o and_o by_o because_o they_o take_v not_o the_o right_a course_n many_o also_o purpose_n to_o repent_v and_o do_v great_a matter_n but_o this_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n than_o the_o world_n think_v off_o a_o man_n must_v first_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n ere_o he_o can_v obey_v and_o faith_n must_v be_v wrought_v first_o ere_o he_o can_v

there_o be_v some_o its_o pity_n they_o be_v so_o rare_a it_o be_v but_o that_o every_o christian_n shall_v do_v and_o must_v if_o he_o will_v honour_v his_o profession_n and_o do_v as_o god_n of_o sin_n and_o follow_v their_o own_o lust_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o now_o to_o continue_v any_o long_o therein_o again_o whereas_o before_o the_o gospel_n they_o live_v in_o ignorance_n now_o have_v the_o light_n thereof_o another_o manner_n of_o behaviour_n judgement_n and_o practice_n be_v look_v for_o of_o they_o but_o one_o will_v think_v a_o few_o word_n may_v serve_v to_o dissuade_v man_n from_o such_o filthy_a lust_n hereunto_o so_o odious_a in_o themselves_o so_o hateful_a to_o god_n so_o harmful_a to_o the_o doer_n thereof_o and_o to_o persuade_v to_o holiness_n of_o life_n so_o beautiful_a in_o itself_o so_o acceptable_a to_o god_n and_o so_o profitable_a to_o those_o which_o do_v seek_v after_o the_o same_o true_o if_o we_o be_v as_o we_o shall_v be_v or_o as_o we_o be_v in_o adam_n but_o we_o be_v altogether_o corrupt_v and_o deprave_a and_o now_o we_o have_v no_o mind_n to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a nay_o its_o death_n and_o bond_n to_o we_o but_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a we_o eager_o mind_n and_o seek_v after_o whereunto_o may_v be_v add_v that_o hereunto_o the_o devil_n and_o the_o world_n egg_n we_o on_o as_o they_o hang_v on_o we_o to_o hold_v we_o back_o from_o goodness_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o so_o few_o be_v convert_v that_o man_n count_v goodness_n a_o prison_n naughtiness_n their_o heaven_n that_o they_o mock_v at_o goodness_n and_o only_o except_o against_o some_o man_n because_o they_o be_v good_a who_o they_o can_v love_v for_o all_o other_o thing_n but_o for_o that_o they_o hate_v he_o 1._o let_v we_o take_v knowledge_n of_o
