god_n what_o be_v good_a and_o what_o ill_a what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v and_o what_o to_o be_v avoid_v then_o by_o the_o only_a relic_n of_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n remain_v in_o man_n mind_n and_o therefore_o all_o cloak_n of_o ignorance_n be_v clean_o take_v away_o the_o jew_n be_v make_v more_o inexcusable_a than_o other_o nation_n if_o they_o keep_v not_o the_o law_n which_o thing_n fall_v out_o great_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n since_o man_n do_v thereby_o understand_v that_o his_o judgement_n towards_o we_o be_v very_o just_a furthermore_o by_o the_o curse_n which_o be_v add_v against_o the_o transgressor_n and_o the_o blessing_n for_o the_o observer_n man_n be_v restrain_v by_o fear_n of_o those_o as_o it_o be_v with_o a_o bridle_n from_o commit_v sin_n and_o by_o hope_n of_o these_o as_o it_o be_v with_o a_o spur_n be_v stir_v up_o to_o keep_v the_o law_n if_o not_o whole_o and_o perfect_o yet_o in_o part_n and_o for_o the_o external_a observance_n and_o so_o may_v be_v the_o better_o hold_v within_o their_o duty_n which_o how_o profitable_a it_o be_v not_o only_o to_o a_o whole_a common_a wealth_n but_o to_o every_o particular_a man_n so_o bear_v himself_o none_o can_v be_v ignorant_a last_o of_o all_o by_o that_o that_o man_n see_v by_o daily_a experience_n how_o they_o continual_o sin_v against_o this_o so_o perfect_a a_o law_n and_o perceive_v that_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o observe_v it_o as_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v and_o so_o that_o they_o be_v daily_o more_o and_o more_o in_o danger_n of_o god_n wrath_n &_o guilty_a of_o eternal_a death_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o distrust_v themselves_o &_o their_o own_o strength_n they_o grow_v to_o have_v a_o great_a and_o earnest_a desire_n of_o the_o promise_a saviour_n and_o redeemer_n and_o therefore_o how_o much_o the_o more_o they_o know_v their_o sin_n by_o the_o law_n and_o their_o weakness_n &_o more_o sensible_o feel_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n so_o much_o the_o more_o greedy_o do_v they_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o righteousness_n and_o be_v dispose_v and_o prepare_v to_o take_v hold_n on_o christ_n by_o faith_n so_o that_o very_o true_a be_v both_o those_o say_n of_o the_o apostle_n by_o the_o law_n be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n 3.24_o rom._n 2.20_o gal._n 3.24_o and_o the_o law_n be_v a_o schoolmaster_n unto_o christ_n ix_o the_o la_o have_v still_o the_o same_o use_n yea_o even_o in_o man_n regenerate_v and_o we_o believe_v that_o these_o use_n of_o the_o law_n be_v perpetual_a as_o long_o as_o we_o remain_v in_o this_o world_n not_o only_o in_o man_n not_o regenerate_v as_o it_o say_v but_o also_o in_o the_o very_a regenerate_v for_o since_o our_o mind_n be_v still_o blind_v with_o much_o darkness_n and_o our_o memory_n so_o slippery_a that_o we_o can_v neither_o perfect_o understand_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o god_n nor_o keep_v in_o mind_n that_o which_o we_o have_v understand_v we_o have_v evermore_o need_v of_o this_o glass_n of_o the_o divine_a law_n wherein_o we_o may_v daily_o behold_v and_o still_o more_o certain_o understand_v what_o god_n will_v have_v we_o to_o do_v moreover_o since_o our_o heart_n be_v not_o yet_o perfect_o cleanse_v from_o all_o corruption_n that_o it_o can_v be_v full_o settle_v upon_o do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n but_o that_o the_o flesh_n still_o wrestle_v against_o the_o spirit_n 5.17_o gal._n be_v beat_v down_o and_o so_o to_o perish_v ix_o error_n we_o condemn_v they_o which_o either_o deny_v or_o extenuate_v this_o new_a birth_n will_v have_v a_o man_n regenerate_v to_o be_v as_o concern_v the_o deliverance_n of_o the_o regenerate_a from_o the_o bondage_n of_o sin_n and_o their_o choice_n to_o do_v good_a to_o say_v nothing_o of_o that_o bigh_a injury_n which_o be_v do_v to_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o dwell_v and_o work_v in_o us._n again_o we_o disallow_v those_o likewise_o which_o will_v have_v a_o regenerate_a man_n to_o be_v so_o deliver_v out_o of_o the_o bondage_n of_o sin_n that_o he_o can_v by_o no_o mean_n sin_n any_o more_o which_o all_o the_o whole_a scripture_n in_o general_a and_o our_o daily_a experience_n gain-saieth_a for_o although_o we_o be_v not_o suffer_v to_o sin_n unto_o death_n yet_o it_o be_v very_o apparent_a that_o we_o commit_v many_o sin_n in_o their_o own_o nature_n worthy_a of_o death_n therefore_o on_o the_o other_o side_n we_o also_o disallow_v their_o opinion_n which_o do_v so_o extenuate_v or_o make_v small_a the_o force_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o regenerate_a and_o so_o enlarge_v &_o set_v out_o therelique_n and_o
