and_o prepare_v their_o lamp_n and_o those_o that_o be_v ready_a go_v in_o with_o the_o bridegroom_n to_o the_o marriage_n &_o the_o door_n be_v shut_v up_o but_o those_o that_o be_v not_o ready_a at_o that_o time_n begin_v to_o provide_v and_o prepare_v themselves_o and_o at_o length_n come_v say_v lord_n lord_n open_a to_o us._n but_o he_o answer_v say_v very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o i_o know_v you_o not_o and_o the_o lord_n conclude_v this_o parable_n say_v watch_v therefore_o for_o you_o know_v neither_o the_o day_n nor_o the_o hour_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v you_o have_v see_v marriage_n as_o they_o be_v exclude_v this_o be_v the_o literal_a sense_n of_o this_o parable_n as_o a_o learned_a man_n do_v expound_v this_o place_n say_v let_v we_o take_v heed_n to_o ourselves_o if_o it_o be_v but_o only_o for_o this_o respect_n that_o the_o repentance_n which_o be_v defer_v unto_o death_n when_o that_o voice_n be_v hear_v which_o say_v behold_v the_o bridegroom_n come_v be_v not_o safe_a yea_o as_o it_o be_v describe_v in_o this_o ●arable_a it_o be_v as_o though_o it_o be_v not_o true_a at_o the_o length_n he_o speak_v of_o the_o end_n of_o this_o similitude_n say_v the_o conclusion_n of_o this_o doctrine_n be_v that_o we_o may_v understand_v how_o these_o five_o virgin_n be_v reprobate_v and_o refuse_v because_o they_o be_v not_o ready_a at_o the_o come_n of_o the_o bridegroom_n but_o the_o other_o five_o be_v admit_v and_o let_v in_o because_o they_o have_v provide_v therefore_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o we_o be_v always_o provide_v because_o we_o know_v not_o at_o what_o hour_n the_o bridegroom_n will_v come_v tell_v i_o i_o pray_v thou_o what_o can_v be_v speak_v more_o manifest_o for_o the_o illustration_n of_o our_o purpose_n therefore_o i_o do_v great_o wonder_v that_o after_o so_o clear_a a_o testimony_n man_n dare_v yet_o trust_v to_o a_o hope_n so_o weak_a and_o uncertain_a for_o before_o this_o testimony_n be_v bring_v forth_o i_o do_v not_o so_o much_o marvel_v if_o they_o do_v persuade_v themselves_o the_o contrary_n or_o if_o they_o desire_v willing_o to_o deceive_v themselves_o but_o after_o that_o this_o heavenly_a doctor_n and_o teacher_n have_v determine_v this_o question_n when_o as_o the_o judge_n himself_o have_v manifest_v unto_o we_o the_o order_n and_o manner_n of_o his_o judgement_n by_o so_o many_o example_n who_o be_v so_o extreme_o impudent_a or_o shameless_a without_o wit_n or_o reason_n that_o will_v think_v that_o it_o shall_v happen_v otherwise_o than_o he_o have_v foretell_v who_o himself_o shall_v pronounce_v the_o sentence_n ¶_o answer_n too_o certain_a objection_n but_o because_o thou_o may_v object_v against_o these_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v speak_v how_o be_v not_o the_o thief_n yield_v up_o the_o ghost_n save_v by_o one_o only_a word_n christ._n we_o answer_v unto_o this_o that_o this_o work_n be_v no_o less_o miraculous_a than_o the_o other_o miracle_n of_o christ_n which_o work_n and_o miracle_n be_v reserve_v to_o the_o come_n of_o our_o saviour_n be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n into_o this_o world_n and_o for_o a_o testimony_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o in_o that_o very_a hour_n when_o the_o lord_n suffer_v that_o both_o thing_n celestial_a and_o terrestrial_a shall_v be_v disturb_v that_o light_n shall_v be_v mingle_v with_o night_n and_o that_o the_o very_a element_n shall_v be_v shake_v that_o the_o earth_n shake_v in_o her_o very_a foundation_n thief_n which_o can_v scarce_o support_v and_o uphold_v god_n on_o the_o cross_n shall_v tremble_v and_o quake_v that_o the_o day_n the_o light_n be_v flee_v shall_v assume_v a_o lamentable_a robe_n and_o after_o the_o manner_n of_o bewail_v mourner_n shall_v be_v clothe_v with_o the_o sable_a habit_n of_o black_a heaviness_n that_o the_o grave_n of_o the_o dead_a shall_v be_v open_v and_o that_o the_o dead_a shall_v arise_v for_o all_o these_o miraculous_a wonderment_n be_v reserve_v as_o testimony_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o person_n among_o the_o number_n of_o which_o be_v the_o salvation_n of_o this_o thief_n in_o which_o work_n his_o confession_n be_v no_o less_o admirable_a and_o miraculous_a than_o his_o salvation_n for_o his_o novel_a and_o puny_a new_a spring_a faith_n acknowledge_v that_o which_o his_o disciple_n gaynesayed_n at_o that_o time_n the_o guilty_a thief_n believe_v that_o which_o the_o elect_v deny_v the_o impiety_n of_o the_o persecutor_n rage_v the_o wickedness_n of_o the_o blasphemer_n exceed_v the_o stripe_n and_o wound_n show_v christ_n only_o to_o be_v but_o a_o man_n and_o the_o apostle_n despair_a after_o so_o many_o divine_a miracle_n only_o this_o thief_n rest_v not_o nor_o stay_v in_o the_o scandal_n of_o his_o cross_n and_o death_n only_o he_o be_v the_o witness_n of_o his_o majesty_n who_o be_v a_o companion_n of_o his_o distress_n and_o heaviness_n see_v that_o therefore_o these_o wonderful_a and_o especial_o the_o psalm_n and_o the_o prophet_n in_o which_o nothing_o be_v so_o usual_a and_o common_a as_o hope_v in_o god_n and_o assurednes_n of_o the_o divine_a aid_n and_o assistance_n which_o remain_v for_o they_o that_o trust_v in_o he_o the_o four_o virtue_n be_v the_o zeal_n of_o god_n honour_n honour_n that_o be_v if_o all_o our_o cogitation_n be_v to_o this_o end_n that_o the_o a_o will_n be_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o those_o saint_n 69._o in_o who_o name_n it_o be_v say_v the_o zeal_n of_o thy_o house_n have_v 〈◊〉_d e●te●_n i_o for_o their_o heart_n be_v so_o afflict_v for_o virtue_n laudable_a and_o beautiful_a in_o her_o function_n have_v endeavour_v themselves_o so_o to_o walk_v in_o she_o track_v that_o they_o have_v be_v repute_v for_o good_a man_n and_o have_v purge_v their_o hand_n from_o all_o filthy_a luker_n and_o uncleanness_n which_o may_v by_o any_o mean_n have_v pollute_v their_o honour_n yet_o they_o have_v do_v it_o for_o this_o respect_n that_o they_o may_v not_o fall_v from_o that_o authority_n they_o be_v place_v in_o and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v favour_v of_o their_o prince_n and_o grace_v with_o great_a dignity_n and_o honour_n and_o therefore_o their_o good_a work_n proceed_v not_o from_o the_o lively_a spark_n of_o love_n or_o from_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n neither_o have_v they_o his_o obedience_n and_o glory_n their_o purpose_a end_n but_o seek_v for_o their_o own_o commodity_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o man_n but_o what_o soever_o be_v do_v after_o this_o manner_n although_o it_o seem_v somewhat_o in_o man_n eye_n yet_o in_o god_n sight_n it_o be_v as_o smoke_n and_o a_o shadow_n of_o righteousness_n &_o not_o true_a righteousness_n for_o before_o god_n work_n be_v not_o acceptable_a commend_v only_o by_o the_o strength_n and_o grace_n of_o moral_a virtue_n neither_o do_v corporal_a action_n and_o business_n please_v he_o no_o not_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v sacrifice_v his_o own_o son_n but_o only_o that_o of_o god_n as_o be_v very_o like_a unto_o he_o in_o the_o perfection_n of_o beauty_n and_o purity_n of_o intent_n for_o similitude_n and_o likeness_n be_v wont_a to_o get_v and_o win_v love_n wherefore_o do_v let_v man_n turn_v his_o eye_n from_o all_o humane_a respect_n when_o he_o do_v good_a and_o let_v he_o have_v they_o fix_v upon_o god_n neither_o let_v he_o suffer_v that_o those_o work_n which_o be_v in_o so_o great_a reckon_n and_o price_n with_o god_n serve_v humane_a regard_n if_o a_o noble_a and_o a_o beautiful_a woman_n similitude_n worthy_a of_o a_o king_n bed_n shall_v be_v marry_v to_o a_o foul_a collyer_n it_o will_v move_v all_o to_o compassion_n that_o behold_v she_o after_o the_o same_o manner_n and_o much_o more_o effectual_o shall_v he_o be_v move_v that_o see_v virtue_n worthy_a of_o god_n and_o divine_a reward_n to_o be_v make_v vassal_n to_o compass_v the_o dross_n &_o dung_n of_o this_o world_n god._n but_o because_o this_o pureness_n of_o intent_n
