diligent_a in_o duty_n and_o painful_a in_o the_o service_n of_o the_o lord_n especial_o with_o honest_a heart_n as_o you_o call_v they_o that_o then_o you_o shall_v not_o lose_v your_o labour_n but_o that_o god_n will_v reward_v you_o for_o the_o service_n you_o do_v and_o it_o may_v be_v that_o some_o of_o you_o may_v intend_v so_o to_o do_v notwithstanding_o what_o ever_o have_v be_v say_v against_o it_o and_o so_o they_o may_v if_o they_o please_v to_o their_o shame_n and_o heart-smart_n but_o if_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o true_a peace_n or_o profit_n the_o lord_n have_v not_o speak_v by_o i_o and_o when_o they_o have_v weary_v themselves_o in_o this_o their_o way_n and_o miss_v what_o they_o look_v for_o which_o they_o will_v most_o certain_o do_v if_o they_o look_v for_o any_o good_a then_o will_v they_o acknowledge_v the_o truth_n and_o necessity_n of_o this_o counsel_n and_o when_o it_o be_v too_o late_o will_v bewail_v that_o they_o take_v it_o not_o in_o time_n direction_n 2_o second_o if_o you_o will_v not_o have_v the_o service_n of_o god_n prove_v a_o vain_a service_n then_o take_v heed_n of_o a_o slighty_a spirit_n in_o the_o perform_n of_o it_o and_o of_o have_v low_a and_o mean_a thought_n of_o those_o duty_n that_o thou_o undertake_v the_o do_n of_o but_o labour_n for_o high_a and_o precious_a thought_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o this_o service_n and_o of_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n which_o thou_o come_v to_o be_v a_o partaker_n of_o that_o thou_o may_v look_v upon_o the_o service_n of_o god_n as_o honourable_a and_o much_o desirable_a service_n and_o the_o part_n and_o duty_n of_o this_o service_n as_o very_o profitable_a &_o as_o those_o mean_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v ordain_v for_o thy_o great_a good_a to_o look_v upon_o prayer_n as_o a_o profitable_a ordinance_n and_o mean_n very_o forcible_a with_o god_n to_o break_v open_a his_o treasure_n and_o to_o obtain_v all_o needful_a mercy_n by_o so_o for_o the_o word_n the_o sacrament_n and_o the_o rest_n many_o there_o be_v which_o perform_v many_o of_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n service_n but_o yet_o come_v not_o with_o such_o thought_n as_o these_o be_v but_o look_v upon_o they_o as_o mean_v ordinary_a thing_n and_o that_o because_o they_o know_v not_o the_o worth_n and_o pretiousnesse_n of_o they_o and_o never_o find_v or_o get_v any_o great_a good_a by_o they_o when_o as_o the_o ground_n thereof_o be_v in_o themselves_o they_o come_v with_o low_a thought_n and_o slighty_a estimation_n to_o the_o ordinance_n and_o then_o no_o marvel_n they_o find_v they_o vain_a and_o unprofitable_a to_o they_o direction_n 3_o three_o he_o that_o will_v not_o have_v the_o service_n of_o god_n in_o vain_a unto_o he_o must_v look_v that_o he_o be_v faithful_a in_o the_o do_n of_o it_o and_o this_o faithfulness_n be_v to_o be_v show_v in_o these_o five_o thing_n carefulness_n carefulness_n faithfulness_n in_o god_n service_n to_o be_v show_v in_o 5._o thing_n carefulness_n diligence_n sincerity_n belief_n and_o perseverance_n first_o it_o be_v to_o be_v show_v in_o carefulness_n of_o universality_n of_o obedience_n that_o a_o man_n be_v careful_a in_o attend_v upon_o all_o god_n way_n and_o in_o do_v all_o that_o work_n that_o god_n set_v he_o about_o he_o be_v not_o a_o faithful_a servant_n that_o will_v pick_v and_o choose_v his_o work_n to_o do_v only_o that_o which_o like_v he_o and_o leave_v the_o rest_n so_o neither_o be_v he_o a_o faithful_a servant_n to_o god_n that_o will_v do_v only_o some_o not_o all_o that_o will_v attend_v upon_o god_n in_o some_o duty_n and_o ordinance_n but_o omit_v othersome_a and_o that_o can_v be_v content_a to_o put_v his_o hand_n to_o god_n work_n but_o not_o to_o his_o neck_n or_o his_o back_n to_o his_o cross_n or_o burden_n doing-worke_n will_v down_o but_o not_o suffering-worke_n well_o think_v better_o of_o it_o and_o balk_v none_o of_o god_n work_n but_o take_v it_o as_o it_o lie_v in_o order_n and_o come_v for_o that_o part_n of_o god_n service_n that_o thou_o neglecte_v may_v be_v that_o in_o the_o do_v whereof_o the_o lord_n may_v intend_v to_o show_v thou_o much_o mercy_n and_o to_o give_v thou_o a_o reward_n for_o that_o and_o other_o service_n together_o if_o it_o be_v secret_a prayer_n or_o such_o a_o duty_n that_o thou_o live_v in_o the_o neglect_n of_o thou_o may_v bereave_v thyself_o of_o much_o good_a in_o the_o neglect_n of_o it_o for_o as_o god_n meet_v one_o in_o some_o duty_n rather_o than_o in_o othersome_a so_o that_o may_v be_v that_o very_a duty_n that_o god_n may_v intend_v to_o communicate_v more_o mercy_n to_o thou_o in_o than_o any_o other_o so_o the_o like_a may_v be_v say_v of_o suffering_n for_o the_o lord_n have_v let_v out_o more_o of_o himself_o sometime_o in_o a_o prison_n than_o any_o other_o way_n and_o therefore_o as_o david_n show_v his_o faithfulness_n in_o have_v respect_n to_o all_o god_n commandment_n 119.6_o psal_n 119.6_o so_o let_v we_o second_o 2._o diligence_n 2._o this_o faithfulness_n lie_v in_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n diligent_o when_o the_o soul_n put_v out_o its_o self_n in_o what_o
