how_o to_o thrive_v in_o the_o world_n how_o to_o get_v such_o preferment_n you_o have_v be_v meditate_v all_o your_o life_n long_o upon_o vain_a thing_n and_o have_v not_o meditate_a upon_o the_o thing_n of_o eternity_n those_o thing_n that_o do_v most_o concern_v you_o you_o have_v be_v meditate_v upon_o trifle_n upon_o thing_n that_o will_v not_o profit_v at_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n and_o forget_v to_o meditate_v of_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o eternal_a concernment_n our_o saviour_n christ_n complain_v of_o those_o man_n mat._n 6._o take_v no_o thought_n for_o your_o life_n their_o neighbour_n how_o to_o be_v revenge_v upon_o their_o neighbour_n how_o to_o do_v mischief_n how_o to_o compass_v about_o their_o wicked_a design_n be_v there_o not_o some_o that_o meditate_v to_o do_v evil_a and_o rejoice_v in_o the_o meditation_n of_o evil_n when_o they_o have_v do_v it_o many_o old_a man_n meditate_v with_o joy_n of_o their_o youthful_a vanity_n and_o wickedness_n commit_v in_o their_o youth_n they_o chew_v over_o their_o wicked_a way_n with_o delight_n which_o we_o call_v contemplative_a wickedness_n oh_o let_v we_o bewail_v and_o bemoan_v it_o before_o god_n that_o we_o have_v squander_v away_o our_o immortal_a soul_n by_o exercise_v the_o glorious_a faculty_n of_o the_o understanding_n in_o such_o poor_a trifle_a thing_n it_o may_v be_v lustful_a the_o mount_n of_o god_n to_o meditate_v of_o some_o of_o those_o subject_n that_o i_o have_v propound_v to_o you_o whether_o it_o be_v death_n or_o hell_n or_o heaven_n or_o judgement_n or_o sin_n or_o christ_n or_o god_n or_o the_o vanity_n of_o the_o world_n whatsoever_o the_o subject_n be_v that_o be_v holy_a and_o heavenly_a i_o will_v not_o lay_v burden_n upon_o you_o i_o know_v there_o may_v be_v such_o occasion_n that_o you_o can_v but_o ordinary_o that_o you_o will_v as_o often_o as_o you_o can_v make_v conscience_n to_o accustom_v yourselves_o to_o this_o necessary_a and_o thou_o be_v at_o work_n thou_o may_v be_v by_o divine_a meditation_n in_o heaven_n but_o let_v i_o persuade_v you_o all_o on_o the_o sabbath-day_n though_o you_o have_v not_o time_n on_o the_o weekday_n for_o set_v solemn_a meditation_n yet_o than_o you_o have_v time_n for_o occasional_a meditation_n for_o on_o the_o sabbath_n all_o your_o work_n cease_v that_o be_v the_o day_n that_o god_n have_v set_v a_o part_n for_o public_a service_n and_o private_a meditation_n meditation_n on_o the_o work_n of_o creation_n and_o the_o work_n of_o redemption_n it_o be_v a_o great_a work_n we_o be_v to_o do_v upon_o the_o day_n of_o our_o rest_n to_o meditate_v of_o our_o eternal_a rest_n in_o heaven_n therefore_o let_v i_o persuade_v you_o to_o spend_v some_o time_n on_o the_o sabbath-day_n
