which_o i_o now_o have_v in_o hand_n be_v a_o special_a and_o excellent_a mean_n whereby_o to_o apply_v this_o my_o save_a death_n to_o you_o and_o to_o every_o believe_a receiver_n and_o thus_o and_o sacrament_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v all_z the_o faithful_a that_o ever_o have_v live_v from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n have_v have_v some_o sacrament_n or_o other_o as_o the_o cognisance_n of_o their_o profession_n as_o the_o nourishment_n of_o their_o faith_n as_o outward_a testification_n of_o the_o mutual_a covenant_n betwixt_o god_n and_o they_o but_o this_o say_v our_o saviour_n be_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n this_o be_v a_o new_a sacrament_n such_o as_o none_o of_o they_o ever_o have_v this_o be_v a_o more_o lively_a and_o sensible_a representation_n of_o your_o reconciliation_n unto_o god_n then_o ever_o the_o faithful_a before_o you_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o this_o be_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n to_o make_v our_o saviour_n his_o meaning_n plain_a and_o perfect_a to_o every_o man_n understanding_n we_o must_v supply_v two_o rule_n that_o be_v here_o imply_v and_o presume_v upon_o the_o first_o be_v this_o that_o every_o covenant_n betwixt_o god_n and_o man_n must_v be_v confirm_v by_o some_o outward_a sign_n and_o sacrament_n the_o second_o that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o due_a proportion_n betwixt_o the_o covenant_n that_o be_v confirm_v and_o the_o sacrament_n that_o do_v confirm_v the_o covenant_n the_o first_o rule_n every_o covenant_n betwixt_o god_n and_o man_n must_v be_v ratify_v and_o confirm_v by_o some_o sacrament_n and_o outward_a sign_n god_n deal_v with_o we_o herein_o in_o great_a wisdom_n and_o mercy_n meet_v both_o with_o our_o infidelity_n and_o with_o our_o apostasy_n our_o slipperinesse_n to_o fall_v from_o he_o with_o our_o infidelity_n because_o we_o hardly_o will_v believe_v he_o unless_o he_o bound_v himself_o to_o we_o by_o some_o outward_a sign_n with_o this_o be_v a_o new_a testament_n and_o then_o here_o must_v be_v a_o new_a sacrament_n a_o old_a covenant_n a_o old_a sacrament_n a_o new_a covenant_n a_o new_a sacrament_n a_o new_a sacrament_n and_o a_o new_a covenant_n agree_v but_o a_o new_a sacrament_n and_o a_o old_a covenant_n be_v mismatched_a they_o must_v be_v sort_v in_o their_o kind_n our_o saviour_n give_v the_o rule_n mark_v 2.21_o 22._o which_o by_o application_n may_v be_v allege_v in_o the_o case_n no_o man_n put_v new_a wine_n into_o a_o old_a vessel_n etc._n etc._n old_a sacrament_n do_v not_o agree_v with_o the_o therefore_o be_v better_a than_o the_o former_a and_o here_o it_o be_v that_o he_o speak_v with_o such_o a_o majesty_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v this_o be_v such_o as_o never_o any_o of_o the_o faithful_a have_v before_o my_o come_n in_o the_o flesh_n and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o fit_v of_o this_o speech_n of_o our_o saviour_n to_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n for_o in_o the_o word_n there_o be_v no_o difference_n apply_v they_o to_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n and_o then_o the_o case_n be_v plain_a this_o be_v my_o blood_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v my_o blood_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n be_v effectual_a for_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n apply_v they_o to_o the_o sacrament_n and_o in_o a_o sacramental_a sense_n it_o be_v the_o very_a blood_n of_o christ_n shed_v for_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n we_o come_v to_o such_o observation_n as_o here_o arise_v for_o our_o instruction_n when_o it_o be_v say_v this_o be_v my_o blood_n speak_v of_o the_o sacrament_n hence_o observe_v that_o doct._n the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o supper_n be_v proper_a to_o the_o state_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n only_o this_o be_v my_o blood_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n our_o saviour_n appropriate_v this_o sacrament_n to_o this_o testament_n only_o 1_o cor._n 10.21_o it_o be_v call_v there_o by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n table_n which_o very_a name_n prove_v the_o point_n in_o hand_n the_o lord_n table_n that_o be_v the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n not_o only_o such_o a_o table_n as_o where_o in_o christ_n be_v the_o food_n feed_v upon_o for_o so_o he_o be_v in_o some_o sort_n in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o former_a testament_n but_o such_o as_o wherein_o the_o lord_n jesus_n himself_o be_v bodily_a present_n in_o his_o flesh_n such_o as_o he_o himself_o with_o his_o bodily_a presence_n do_v speed_n ordain_v and_o institute_v for_o a_o memorial_n of_o those_o thing_n he_o have_v do_v and_o suffer_v already_o for_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n as_o a_o mediator_n and_o therefore_o may_v well_o be_v call_v the_o table_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n as_o luke_n 22.20_o christ_n already_o come_v christ_n
