examine_v themselves_o whether_o they_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o grace_n and_o that_o after_o they_o have_v receive_v they_o must_v be_v careful_a continual_o to_o persevere_v in_o that_o state_n hence_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o they_o be_v very_o mistrustful_a of_o themselves_o and_o very_o fearful_a of_o the_o worst_a perhaps_o the_o remembrance_n of_o some_o sin_n that_o be_v past_a do_v yet_o run_v in_o their_o mind_n though_o they_o be_v true_o penitent_a for_o it_o and_o withal_o the_o sense_n of_o their_o natural_a weakness_n make_v they_o doubtful_a for_o the_o future_a lest_o they_o shall_v transgress_v again_o notwithstanding_o their_o watchfulness_n and_o the_o apprehension_n of_o what_o be_v past_a and_o of_o what_o may_v follow_v disquiet_v their_o conscience_n and_o think_v to_o err_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n they_o resolve_v to_o keep_v their_o foot_n from_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n lest_o they_o shall_v take_v a_o step_n towards_o the_o brink_n of_o destruction_n now_o to_o rectify_v the_o mistake_n of_o these_o it_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v that_o no_o more_o be_v require_v of_o any_o in_o point_n of_o practice_n for_o the_o due_a receive_v of_o this_o sacrament_n than_o what_o be_v require_v of_o we_o all_o by_o the_o tenor_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n for_o here_o we_o do_v renew_v our_o covenant_n with_o god_n and_o engage_v ourselves_o afresh_o but_o upon_o the_o former_a term_n that_o be_v undertake_v at_o our_o baptism_n so_o that_o what_o that_o covenant_n do_v contain_v that_o we_o be_v bind_v now_o to_o make_v good_a now_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n be_v these_o in_o short_a viz._n faith_n in_o christ_n accompany_v with_o repentance_n from_o all_o dead_a work_n and_o if_o man_n bewail_v their_o sin_n hearty_o and_o resolve_v to_o be_v circumspect_a for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v not_o allow_v themselves_o in_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v evil_a but_o forsake_v all_o sinful_a habit_n and_o watch_v against_o all_o sinful_a act_n and_o if_o they_o persevere_v in_o this_o course_n study_v to_o serve_v god_n according_a to_o the_o best_a of_o their_o power_n and_o knowledge_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o they_o shall_v find_v acceptance_n with_o god_n and_o these_o be_v the_o thing_n which_o we_o profess_v at_o the_o sacrament_n that_o we_o do_v and_o will_v do_v 1._o we_o
