and_o on_o the_o contrary_a it_o do_v forbid_v with_o efficacy_n and_o power_n the_o commit_n of_o sin_n and_o it_o have_v this_o power_n in_o it_o because_o it_o be_v the_o very_a power_n virtue_n and_o fruit_n of_o the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n and_o be_v the_o immediate_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n who_o be_v strong_a than_o satan_n the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n and_o likewise_o because_o as_o a_o law_n it_o reward_v and_o punish_v refresh_v the_o obedient_a with_o peace_n of_o conscience_n joy_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o when_o a_o man_n disobey_v it_o it_o cause_v grief_n and_o wound_n the_o heart_n that_o law_n in_o david_n smite_v he_o when_o he_o have_v number_v the_o people_n and_o cause_v peter_n to_o weep_v bitter_o and_o mind_n in_o the_o second_o place_n it_o be_v call_v the_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n because_o though_o it_o sanctify_v the_o whole_a yet_o it_o be_v most_o in_o the_o mind_n as_o the_o law_n of_o the_o member_n be_v call_v so_o enlighten_v give_v a_o stop_n to_o evil_a course_n but_o without_o such_o a_o law_n as_o this_o mind_n this_o be_v thus_o explain_v the_o difference_n between_o a_o natural_a conscience_n enlighten_v and_o this_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n stand_v in_o these_o effect_n the_o first_o be_v take_v from_o the_o phrase_n itself_o when_o it_o be_v call_v the_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n it_o have_v a_o differ_a work_n upon_o the_o mind_n from_o that_o which_o the_o light_n of_o conscience_n have_v for_o the_o knowledge_n this_o law_n stamp_v upon_o the_o mind_n differ_v from_o that_o which_o be_v bring_v into_o the_o conscience_n of_o a_o natural_a man_n though_o a_o unregenerate_a man_n may_v first_o know_v the_o law_n and_o 2._o may_v consent_v to_o it_o that_o it_o be_v good_a consent_n yet_o a_o regenerate_a man_n that_o have_v this_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n go_v further_a and_o consent_n to_o it_o as_o good_a for_o he_o this_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o that_o which_o the_o apostle_n say_v verse_n 15._o that_o he_o consent_v to_o the_o law_n that_o it_o be_v good_a and_o therefore_o it_o have_v this_o same_o work_n upon_o his_o 15._o mind_n as_o concern_v also_o that_o he_o allow_v it_o not_o vers_n 16._o that_o be_v not_o as_o good_a for_o he_o pro_fw-la hic_fw-la &_o nunc_fw-la this_o the_o other_o want_v for_o want_n of_o light_n whereby_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v good_a second_o consent_n that_o it_o be_v excellent_a but_o three_o not_o that_o it_o be_v good_a for_o he_o and_o so_o also_o though_o a_o unregenerate_a man_n allow_v sin_n to_o be_v evil_a in_o itself_o yet_o not_o for_o he_o in_o such_o and_o such_o circumstance_n but_o than_o you_o will_v object_v it_o seem_v then_o that_o the_o object_n knowledge_n of_o a_o carnal_a man_n and_o a_o regenerate_a man_n differ_v but_o in_o degree_n not_o in_o kind_n the_o want_n of_o degree_n here_o alter_v the_o kind_n as_o in_o answ._n number_n the_o addition_n of_o a_o degree_n alter_v the_o species_n and_o kind_a this_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n put_v a_o lust_a into_o the_o lust_a soul_n against_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a gal._n 5._o 17._o so_o as_o he_o be_v not_o only_o stir_v up_o 17._o to_o his_o duty_n by_o conscience_n but_o he_o have_v a_o inward_a inclination_n also_o thereunto_o and_o so_o for_o sin_n this_o law_n do_v put_v a_o strong_a inclination_n into_o the_o faculty_n which_o do_v not_o only_o repress_v the_o outward_a act_n but_o it_o weaken_v the_o habit_n of_o sin_n by_o a_o contrary_a ingredient_n but_o the_o light_n of_o conscience_n though_o it_o may_v weaken_v the_o act_n yet_o not_o the_o habit_n so_o gal._n 5._o 24._o 24._o not_o only_o the_o act_n be_v restrain_v but_o the_o lust_n be_v crucify_v the_o vigour_n of_o they_o be_v abate_v by_o a_o contrary_a lust_a a_o lust_a pass_v through_o every_o faculty_n which_o weaken_v it_o now_o nothing_o be_v weaken_v but_o by_o that_o which_o be_v contrary_a if_o the_o refore_o we_o look_v to_o repress_v of_o outward_a act_n therein_o they_o both_o agree_v and_o again_o if_o we_o look_v to_o the_o abatement_n of_o a_o lust_n and_o no_o more_o we_o also_o may_v be_v deceive_v but_o if_o the_o habit_n of_o sin_n be_v weaken_v by_o a_o contrary_a lust_a than_o it_o be_v from_o grace_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n the_o difference_n be_v in_o the_o willingness_n to_o perform_v good_a what_o be_v good_a and_o to_o abstain_v from_o evil_a to_o will_n be_v present_a with_o i_o say_v the_o apostle_n in_o that_o seven_o chapter_n another_o act_n of_o provokement_n of_o conscience_n may_v do_v what_o be_v good_a but_o to_o will_v it_o
