be_v here_o understand_v anxious_a or_o solicitous_a for_o your_o life_n be_v understand_v your_o soul_n because_o by_o that_o we_o live_v and_o we_o be_v not_o to_o be_v anxious_a for_o our_o soul_n sake_n what_o we_o eat_v because_o it_o do_v not_o eat_v to_o keep_v itself_o alive_a but_o only_o the_o body_n the_o like_a anxiety_n be_v forbid_v even_o for_o the_o body_n too_o how_o it_o shall_v not_o fail_v to_o give_v you_o meat_n to_o conserve_v they_o and_o the_o body_n in_o union_n and_o health_n which_o be_v to_o show_v we_o we_o shall_v not_o want_v his_o less_o favour_n that_o have_v have_v his_o great_a so_o if_o he_o give_v our_o body_n life_n and_o health_n it_o be_v not_o likely_a he_o will_v deny_v we_o clothing_n for_o our_o body_n unless_o we_o fall_v to_o be_v anxious_o solicitous_a how_o to_o clothe_v ourselves_o which_o anxiety_n be_v here_o forbid_a and_o we_o be_v counsel_v to_o rely_v upon_o god_n providence_n herein_o 26._o the_o same_o natural_a argument_n heavenly_a providence_n then_o from_o earthly_a solicitude_n 27._o and_o as_o such_o solicitude_n be_v vain_a so_o be_v it_o to_o care_v what_o we_o eat_v or_o how_o long_o we_o protract_v our_o life_n by_o curiosity_n of_o diet_n and_o this_o example_n of_o a_o cubit_n be_v not_o improper_o bring_v in_o to_o show_v we_o that_o as_o the_o due_a proportion_n of_o a_o man_n be_v to_o be_v as_o square_v or_o broad_a when_o his_o arm_n be_v stretch_v out_o as_o he_o be_v long_o from_o head_n to_o foot_n so_o a_o soul_n well_o proportion_v must_v be_v solid_a in_o virtue_n and_o constant_a in_o the_o pursuit_n thereof_o 28_o 29._o as_o the_o former_a verse_n argue_v to_o cast_v off_o care_n of_o meat_n so_o these_o two_o next_o argue_v in_o like_a manner_n against_o anxiety_n in_o clothing_n exemplyfy_n in_o the_o delicate_a attire_n of_o lily_n and_o of_o solomon_n who_o by_o art_n the_o ape_n of_o nature_n have_v make_v his_o attire_n to_o be_v deck_v with_o lily_n of_o most_o curious_a needlework_n to_o show_v the_o robe_n of_o grace_n or_o nuptial_a garment_n of_o our_o soul_n shall_v be_v as_o fragrant_a and_o as_o pure_a in_o god_n sight_n as_o lily_n be_v in_o we_o and_o if_o they_o be_v but_o so_o it_o import_v not_o how_o our_o body_n be_v attire_v 30._o by_o add_v the_o low_a similitude_n of_o the_o grass_n beauty_n after_o that_o high_a and_o rich_a one_o of_o the_o lily_n and_o solomon_n garment_n christ_n augment_v the_o reason_n we_o have_v to_o confide_v in_o god_n providence_n towards_o the_o mean_a of_o person_n since_o he_o be_v not_o want_v to_o adorn_v the_o grass_n as_o he_o do_v by_o grass_n be_v here_o understand_v all_o plant_n at_o least_o such_o as_o make_v fuel_n for_o oven_n for_o else_o in_o vain_a have_v he_o speak_v of_o put_v grass_n into_o the_o oven_n if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v that_o after_o these_o fine_a green_a plant_n of_o the_o field_n be_v cut_v down_o and_o lose_v the_o splendour_n of_o their_o grow_a state_n and_o serve_v now_o for_o nothing_o but_o fuel_n to_o fire_n he_o have_v not_o intend_v to_o show_v we_o that_o if_o god_n be_v so_o careful_a for_o so_o small_a a_o thing_n as_o grass_n and_o little_a green_a plant_n grow_v to_o adorn_v they_o as_o he_o do_v he_o will_v be_v much_o more_o careful_a to_o clothe_v we_o with_o attire_n sufficient_a for_o this_o life_n who_o he_o intend_v to_o invest_v in_o robe_n of_o glory_n for_o all_o eternity_n by_o the_o close_a of_o this_o verse_n rebuke_v our_o very_a small_a faith_n be_v not_o understand_v our_o want_n of_o belief_n in_o god_n but_o our_o want_n of_o trust_n or_o confidence_n rather_o that_o he_o who_o we_o believe_v to_o be_v so_o infinite_o great_a and_o good_a can_v and_o will_v have_v care_n of_o our_o least_o necessity_n 31._o he_o well_o subsume_v to_o close_v his_o argument_n that_o after_o all_o these_o example_n of_o his_o solicitude_n for_o the_o mean_a creature_n he_o will_v not_o be_v careless_a of_o we_o if_o we_o confide_v in_o he_o as_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v for_o our_o due_a supply_n both_o in_o meat_n and_o clothing_n 32._o this_o be_v a_o excellent_a argument_n against_o the_o anxiety_n above_o that_o it_o be_v common_a to_o heathen_n and_o therefore_o no_o way_n proper_a to_o christian_n who_o since_o they_o know_v god_n see_v their_o want_n they_o ought_v to_o refer_v the_o supply_n thereof_o to_o his_o omniscience_n as_o god_n to_o his_o love_n as_o father_n to_o his_o power_n as_o king_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n so_o if_o he_o see_v and_o supply_v not_o he_o be_v please_v we_o shall_v suffer_v want_n and_o therefore_o in_o vain_a we_o seek_v to_o have_v that_o else_o where_n which_o god_n please_v to_o abridge_v we_o of_o rather_o in_o this_o case_n we_o must_v be_v content_a as_o the_o grass_n to_o lose_v our_o lustre_n then_o covet_v to_o enjoy_v it_o when_o it_o be_v design_v for_o fevell_n to_o the_o fire_n
