as_o unto_o a_o tree_n plant_v in_o his_o garden_n and_o see_v thou_o fructify_a in_o every_o good_a work_n that_o be_v his_o pleasure_n but_o here_o the_o difference_n betwixt_o the_o fruitful_a tree_n and_o the_o godly_a man_n be_v this_o the_o tree_n that_o be_v most_o fruitful_a s._n s._n will_v bring_v out_o but_o a_o kind_n of_o fruit_n only_o a_o apple_n tree_n will_v bring_v forth_o apple_n a_o pear_n tree_n pear_n and_o another_o his_o kind_n of_o fruit_n and_o so_o forth_o in_o the_o rest_n but_o thou_o that_o be_v a_o fruitful_a tree_n in_o the_o garden_n of_o the_o lord_n thou_o must_v not_o be_v bind_v to_o one_o kind_n of_o fruit_n but_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v you_o must_v bring_v forth_o all_o good_a work_n both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n for_o the_o lord_n will_v not_o have_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o one_o without_o the_o other_o but_o if_o thou_o be_v plant_v in_o the_o garden_n of_o the_o lord_n thou_o must_v bring_v forth_o fruit_n to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o god_n both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n again_o you_o know_v a_o tree_n have_v the_o season_n but_o thou_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o one_o season_n to_o summer_n winter_n or_o harvest_n but_o thou_o be_v bind_v to_o bear_v fruit_n continual_o so_o brief_o brethren_n there_o be_v the_o first_o point_n of_o the_o please_a of_o god_n will_v thou_o please_v he_o look_v that_o thou_o be_v fruitful_a be_v not_o barren_a work_n be_v not_o idle_a be_v occupy_v and_o well_o occupy_v do_v no_o evil_a but_o good_a not_o one_o sort_n of_o goodness_n but_o all_o the_o good_a that_o be_v possible_a for_o thou_o to_o do_v now_o to_o come_v to_o the_o second_o point_n of_o the_o please_a of_o god_n it_o stand_v in_o grow_v in_o knowledge_n and_o that_o be_v faith_n this_o point_n flow_v from_o the_o first_o mark_v it_o a_o man_n that_o fructifi_v in_o good_a work_n he_o feed_v upon_o his_o own_o work_n by_o the_o very_a ivyce_n and_o sap_n of_o the_o work_n knowledge_n growth_n in_o knowledge_n knowledge_n or_o faith_n be_v nourish_v it_o be_v true_a in_o deed_n good_a work_n must_v come_v of_o faith_n and_o there_o can_v be_v good_a work_n where_o faith_n be_v not_o first_o they_o must_v rise_v of_o faith_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o faith_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v work_v by_o charity_n galath_n 5._o 6._o even_o well_o good_a work_n note_v well_o as_o good_a work_n come_v of_o faith_n so_o good_a work_n nourish_v augment_v and_o entertain_v the_o mother_n of_o it_o that_o be_v faith_n this_o be_v the_o difference_n betwixt_o the_o fruitful_a man_n and_o the_o tree_n the_o tree_n bring_v not_o forth_o the_o fruit_n to_o itself_o nor_o feed_v on_o it_o it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o the_o fruitful_a man_n in_o deed_n it_o be_v true_a the_o good_a work_n of_o a_o man_n which_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o faith_n they_o serve_v first_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o next_o to_o the_o good_a of_o his_o neighbour_n but_o there_o be_v further_a use_n of_o they_o he_o get_v the_o best_a himself_o do_v thou_o a_o good_a turn_n to_o any_o man_n thou_o have_v the_o best_a of_o it_o thyself_o and_o thou_o feed_v more_o on_o thy_o good_a work_n than_o the_o person_n do_v upon_o who_o thou_o bestowd_a thy_o good_a work_n so_o this_o be_v sure_a good_a work_n nourish_v faith_n even_o as_o evil_a work_v sour_a and_o bitter_a fruit_n whereof_o this_o land_n be_v full_a foul_a thought_n in_o thy_o heart_n foul_a and_o filthy_a speech_n in_o thy_o mouth_n cruel_a and_o barbarous_a deed_n in_o thy_o hand_n nourish_v unbelief_n in_o the_o filthy_a and_o wicked_a person_n trow_v thou_o all_o be_v go_v from_o thou_o when_o thou_o have_v suffer_v a_o foul_a word_n to_o pass_v out_o of_o thy_o mouth_n and_o a_o evil_a deed_n to_o pass_v from_o thy_o the_o very_a evil_a deed_n will_v come_v back_o upon_o thou_o and_o anger_v thy_o heart_n the_o very_a evil_a deed_n if_o thou_o go_v forward_o in_o they_o shall_v extinguish_v thy_o faith_n or_o feeling_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v 1._o thes_n 5._o 19_o so_o thy_o fruit_n shall_v either_o augment_v thy_o faith_n or_o else_o extinguish_v thy_o faith_n if_o thou_o continue_v therefore_o take_v heed_n to_o thy_o do_n that_o they_o wound_v thou_o not_o to_o thy_o heart_n and_o if_o thou_o will_v please_v god_n fructify_v in_o good_a work_n and_o second_o by_o they_o grow_v in_o faith_n the_o three_o point_n follow_v be_v strengthen_v with_o all_o might_n through_o his_o glorious_a power_n and_o this_o follow_v from_o the_o second_o for_o every_o one_o follow_v from_o other_o we_o know_v that_o the_o tree_n that_o grow_v as_o it_o fructifi_v so_o it_o grow_v strong_a a_o grow_a thing_n grow_v ever_o to_o strength_n as_o a_o decrease_a thing_n fail_v more_o and_o more_o to_o weakness_n and_o the_o more_o the_o fruitful_a tree_n grow_v it_o be_v the_o strong_a so_o a_o man_n grow_v in_o faith_n and_o good_a work_n he_o grow_v to_o strength_n for_o except_v the_o tree_n grow_v to_o strength_n it_o may_v well_o fructify_v for_o a_o time_n but_o it_o be_v not_o able_a to_o fructify_v long_o the_o summer_n will_v wither_v it_o and_o the_o winter_n will_v rot_v it_o even_o so_o a_o man_n except_o he_o grow_v in_o faith_n and_o in_o the_o fruit_n of_o faith_n to_o a_o strength_n till_o he_o be_v strong_a and_o grow_v in_o strength_n of_o well_o do_v he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o stand_v and_o abide_v all_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o abide_v the_o dint_n of_o persecution_n the_o sword_n hunger_n imprisonment_n and_o such_o other_o affliction_n i_o say_v he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o abide_v these_o thing_n except_o he_o grow_v to_o a_o strength_n of_o god_n but_o the_o heat_n of_o persecution_n shall_v make_v he_o to_o perish_v and_o wither_v away_o he_o be_v not_o content_a with_o this_o simple_a word_n of_o strength_n but_o he_o add_v to_o all_o might_n a_o christian_n man_n must_v not_o be_v content_a with_o one_o sort_n of_o strength_n in_o this_o life_n in_o deed_n be_v there_o but_o one_o calamity_n one_o affliction_n and_o one_o persecution_n one_o sort_n of_o strength_n may_v suffice_v but_o see_v there_o be_v manifold_a yea_o a_o thousand_o fold_n thy_o strength_n must_v be_v a_o manifold_a strength_n thou_o must_v
that_o the_o gospel_n bring_v out_o in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n in_o the_o circumstance_n of_o the_o time_n of_o the_o hasty_a work_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n even_o in_o that_o same_o hour_n that_o man_n hear_v it_o first_o he_o find_v it_o so_o powerful_a in_o he_o and_o the_o continuance_n of_o it_o work_v still_o in_o he_o that_o it_o be_v a_o sure_a argument_n to_o he_o and_o a_o note_n not_o only_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o also_o that_o it_o be_v the_o very_a truth_n of_o god_n if_o any_o have_v find_v this_o sincere_a work_n in_o his_o heart_n by_o the_o gospel_n this_o be_v a_o sure_a argument_n that_o it_o be_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n which_o you_o hear_v though_o all_o the_o world_n and_o the_o pope_n himself_o shall_v cry_v against_o it_o brief_o as_o in_o these_o word_n he_o commend_v the_o gospel_n so_o he_o commend_v the_o colossian_n because_o they_o receive_v it_o and_o continue_v in_o the_o same_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n when_o he_o give_v thou_o a_o grace_n he_o will_v fall_v out_o in_o commend_v of_o thou_o and_o this_o testify_v a_o wonderful_a love_n and_o mercy_n in_o god_n and_o of_o his_o like_n of_o they_o to_o who_o he_o give_v his_o grace_n he_o will_v give_v they_o such_o a_o praise_n as_o if_o they_o us._n god_n commend_v and_o crown_v his_o own_o grace_n in_o us._n be_v something_o and_o yet_o they_o be_v nothing_o this_o shall_v make_v we_o to_o meet_v he_o with_o thankfulness_n to_o praise_v he_o for_o something_o when_o he_o praise_v thou_o for_o nothing_o when_o he_o have_v do_v with_o the_o gospel_n he_o come_v to_o the_o person_n they_o may_v have_v say_v what_o be_v this_o man_n that_o preach_v the_o gospel_n he_o be_v no_o apostle_n paul_n answer_v in_o effect_n belove_v of_o i_o i_o tender_v the_o cause_n he_o be_v a_o minister_n and_o a_o faithful_a minister_n he_o be_v sincere_a in_o his_o call_n and_o as_o for_o you_o he_o be_v whole_o for_o your_o behoof_n and_o profit_n he_o be_v send_v to_o you_o and_o for_o you_o a_o faithful_a minister_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o he_o have_v show_v indeed_o that_o he_o be_v for_o you_o for_o he_o have_v testify_v love_n true_a love_n of_o you_o and_o of_o your_o hearty_a love_n and_o he_o call_v it_o the_o love_n of_o the_o spirit_n thereby_o high_o commend_v their_o love_n because_o if_o love_n be_v true_a it_o must_v not_o only_o proceed_v of_o thy_o affection_n but_o it_o must_v proceed_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o jesus_n thus_o for_o the_o word_n mark_v then_o when_o we_o see_v a_o man_n faithful_a in_o any_o call_n whether_o in_o the_o church_n or_o commonwealth_n this_o same_o recommendation_n observe_v observe_v that_o paul_n make_v of_o epaphras_n teach_v we_o to_o recommend_v that_o man_n that_o discharge_v a_o faithful_a duty_n according_a to_o the_o grace_n give_v he_o that_o they_o may_v have_v the_o better_a like_n of_o he_o i_o say_v he_o be_v a_o minister_n of_o satan_n that_o see_v a_o man_n faithful_a in_o any_o call_n go_v about_o to_o sever_v they_o and_o he_o to_o put_v a_o mislike_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o people_n to_o sever_v they_o who_o god_n have_v join_v together_o now_o to_o go_v to_o the_o next_o argument_n hitherto_o have_v you_o hear_v of_o the_o first_o argument_n touch_v thanksgiving_n the_o next_o follow_v in_o prayer_n therefore_o say_v he_o from_o the_o first_o day_n that_o i_o have_v hear_v of_o this_o grace_n incessant_o i_o pray_v to_o god_n for_o you_o mark_v first_o that_o same_o very_a grace_n of_o those_o grace_n but_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v consider_v even_o as_o soon_o as_o he_o hear_v of_o their_o faith_n and_o love_n he_o begin_v to_o pray_v and_o from_o that_o day_n to_o this_o day_n his_o prayer_n abide_v this_o teach_v first_o that_o after_o a_o man_n have_v receive_v a_o great_a grace_n from_o god_n he_o shall_v ever_o pray_v that_o that_o grace_n receive_v may_v abide_v with_o if_o thou_o will_v have_v any_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o have_v it_o abide_v with_o thou_o fructify_a in_o thy_o heart_n pray_v to_o god_n prayer_n prayer_n prayer_n be_v the_o only_a mean_a to_o effect_v and_o obtain_v of_o god_n whatsoever_o thou_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o and_o when_o thou_o have_v get_v any_o thing_n prayer_n be_v the_o mean_n to_o procure_v a_o blessing_n to_o the_o same_o that_o it_o abide_v with_o thou_o what_o pray_v he_o for_o to_o they_o it_o be_v no_o grace_n that_o they_o have_v get_v already_o wherefore_o then_o that_o you_o may_v be_v fill_v mark_v the_o give_v here_o to_o tychicus_n that_o they_o be_v faithful_a minister_n and_o fellow_n servant_n in_o the_o lord_n work_v for_o fear_v many_o time_n and_o flattery_n blear_v out_o if_o it_o do_v not_o
