to_o be_v reward_v they_o may_v also_o be_v say_v to_o be_v meritorious_a which_o yet_o hinder_v not_o the_o freedom_n of_o god_n grace_n in_o justification_n for_o we_o do_v very_o believe_v and_o confess_v that_o both_o the_o work_v and_o the_o reward_n be_v of_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n and_o that_o the_o lord_n give_v we_o all_o thing_n not_o of_o debt_n or_o as_o be_v in_o our_o debt_n but_o of_o free_a gift_n and_o his_o infinite_a goodness_n and_o wisdom_n have_v see_v it_o meet_v to_o promise_v a_o reward_n to_o good_a work_n and_o so_o he_o do_v reward_v they_o because_o of_o his_o goodness_n and_o faithfulness_n and_o not_o because_o he_o be_v addebt_v unto_o any_o of_o we_o otherwise_o then_o as_o he_o have_v bind_v himself_o by_o his_o promise_n and_o this_o be_v contrary_n to_o that_o ●alse_a popish_a doctrine_n which_o affirm_v that_o man_n deserve_v a_o reward_n from_o god_n for_o good_a work_n upon_o the_o account_n of_o strict_a justice_n without_o respect_n to_o the_o promise_n and_o if_o it_o be_v answer_v that_o all_o papist_n do_v not_o say_v so_o but_o be_v more_o moderate_a well_o then_o i_o say_v if_o some_o of_o they_o be_v moderate_a their_o invocation_n of_o saint_n bow_v to_o image_n say_v ave_fw-la mary_n tell_v their_o bead_n their_o pilgrimage_n their_o whip_a themselves_o their_o keep_n lend_v and_o many_o other_o such_o like_a work_n of_o voluntary_a humility_n by_o which_o they_o seek_v to_o be_v justify_v though_o they_o be_v evil_a work_n as_o not_o do_v in_o the_o faith_n and_o power_n of_o god_n nor_o do_v it_o serve_v thy_o turn_n to_o say_v that_o papist_n think_v not_o that_o work_v consider_v as_o evil_a and_o sinful_a be_v sufficient_a to_o justify_v they_o for_o that_o be_v not_o the_o question_n whether_o the_o papist_n think_v to_o be_v justify_v by_o work_n sinful_a and_o evil_a but_o this_o be_v the_o question_n whether_o the_o papist_n think_v to_o be_v justify_v by_o work_v which_o be_v real_o sinful_a and_o evil_a however_o they_o may_v imagine_v they_o to_o be_v good_a and_o herein_o i_o say_v we_o differ_v vast_o from_o papist_n they_o think_v and_o seek_v to_o be_v justify_v by_o such_o work_v as_o be_v evil_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n whereas_o we_o believe_v that_o by_o no_o such_o work_n can_v any_o man_n be_v justify_v other_o weighty_a difference_n can_v be_v show_v in_o relation_n to_o this_o matter_n but_o what_o be_v here_o in_o short_a declare_v may_v suffice_v to_o evince_v that_o we_o differ_v wide_o from_o the_o papist_n concern_v justification_n three_o look_n how_o near_o a_o kin_n you_o be_v to_o papist_n as_o in_o many_o other_o thing_n so_o in_o these_o relate_v to_o justification_n first_o do_v you_o not_o say_v that_o you_o be_v not_o justify_v by_o christ_n in_o dwell_v in_o you_o so_o say_v the_o papist_n second_o do_v you_o not_o say_v that_o the_o way_n to_o attain_v to_o a_o state_n of_o justification_n be_v not_o by_o believe_v in_o the_o word_n of_o faith_n which_o be_v in_o every_o man_n and_o in_o the_o light_n where_o with_o christ_n have_v enlighten_v every_o man_n that_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o so_o say_v the_o papist_n who_o though_o they_o talk_v of_o universal_a grace_n yet_o they_o deny_v that_o this_o universal_a grace_n be_v a_o evangelicall_n principle_n of_o light_n by_o believe_v in_o which_o man_n can_v attain_v unto_o a_o state_n of_o justification_n immediate_o 3._o do_v you_o not_o say_v that_o god_n act_n of_o justification_n be_v not_o a_o immediate_a testimony_n of_o his_o spirit_n these_o few_o instance_n give_v here_o and_o by_o many_o other_o instance_n give_v by_o other_o in_o other_o particular_n try_v your_o selus_fw-la and_o first_o clear_a your_o selus_fw-la of_o popery_n before_o you_o or_o thou_o do_v throw_v it_o upon_o we_o now_o where_o as_o thou_o allege_v that_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o matter_n of_o justification_n exclud_v all_o work_n even_o those_o of_o christ_n his_o work_n in_o the_o saint_n and_o which_o they_o work_v in_o he_o it_o be_v false_a nor_o do_v the_o scripture_n cite_v by_o thou_o prove_v thy_o intent_n as_o rom._n 3._o fly_v on_o his_o sabbath_n day_n but_o this_o to_o you_o be_v a_o mystery_n viz._n what_o the_o sabbath_n of_o they_o who_o believe_v be_v heb._n 4._o 9_o 10._o there_o remain_v therefore_o a_o of_o his_o appearance_n where_o the_o sun_n of_o righteousness_n arise_v with_o heal_v under_o his_o wing_n day_n and_o this_o be_v the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n wherein_o his_o people_n rejoice_v and_o be_v glad_a and_o whereas_o thou_o say_v it_o be_v set_v apart_o by_o the_o lord_n as_o a_o special_a memorial_n of_o his_o resurrection_n this_o be_v thy_o naked_a assertion_n without_o any_o
