face_n of_o god_n for_o this_o dolorous_a complaint_n be_v a_o sign_n of_o that_o terror_n which_o he_o speak_v of_o erewhile_o where_o be_v convince_v of_o their_o weakness_n their_o distress_n extort_a forth_o these_o word_n who_o be_v able_a to_o abide_v the_o lord_n presence_n now_o because_o they_o cease_v not_o to_o exalt_v themselves_o against_o god_n notwithstanding_o these_o word_n be_v draw_v from_o they_o against_o the_o hair_n as_o we_o say_v therefore_o the_o prophet_n that_o he_o may_v prevent_v their_o wicked_a reply_n answer_n on_o god_n behalf_n that_o he_o be_v not_o terrible_a and_o fearful_a to_o man_n natural_o but_o it_o fall_v out_o so_o by_o their_o own_o default_n in_o regard_n themselves_o be_v affright_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o their_o own_o guiltiness_n so_o as_o god_n suffer_v not_o their_o conscience_n to_o be_v at_o any_o quiet_a verse_n 15._o he_o that_o walk_v in_o justice_n and_o speak_v righteous_a thing_n refuse_v gain_n of_o oppression_n shake_v his_o hand_n from_o take_v of_o gift_n stop_v his_o ear_n from_o hear_v of_o blood_n and_o shut_v his_o eye_n from_o see_v evil_a now_o he_o express_v that_o more_o full_o which_o we_o touch_v before_o to_o wit_n that_o these_o hypocrite_n have_v no_o cause_n to_o accuse_v god_n of_o overgreat_a rigour_n because_o themselves_o by_o provoke_v he_o to_o displeasure_n do_v themselves_o to_o equity_n if_o they_o keep_v their_o finger_n clean_o from_o bribe_n and_o walk_v in_o uprightness_n with_o their_o neighbour_n but_o be_v infect_v with_o all_o manner_n of_o corruption_n and_o give_v to_o malice_n slander_n covetousness_n extortion_n and_o the_o like_a sin_n must_v not_o the_o lord_n astonish_v such_o with_o fear_n and_o show_v himself_o terrible_a unto_o they_o in_o a_o word_n the_o prophet_n meaning_n be_v to_o stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o the_o wicked_a scoffer_n
there_o be_v great_a likelihood_n of_o famine_n to_o ensue_v which_o usual_o follow_v war_n for_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a but_o great_a dearth_n must_v ensue_v where_o the_o field_n have_v be_v waste_v and_o spoil_v but_o against_o this_o necessity_n which_o be_v likely_a to_o befall_v the_o lord_n promise_v continuance_n of_o food_n and_o propound_v this_o as_o a_o evident_a sign_n of_o their_o deliverance_n the_o better_a to_o persuade_v the_o people_n that_o he_o be_v the_o author_n thereof_o or_o at_o the_o least_o to_o fix_v the_o memory_n of_o it_o the_o fast_o in_o their_o mind_n this_o be_v a_o thing_n incredible_a and_o seem_v far_o to_o surmount_v all_o their_o capacity_n but_o it_o be_v needful_a that_o the_o faith_n of_o hezekias_n and_o the_o people_n also_o shall_v be_v thus_o awaken_v that_o have_v intelligence_n of_o so_o rare_a a_o deliverance_n they_o may_v be_v the_o better_o prepare_v to_o hope_n and_o that_o the_o issue_n also_o may_v show_v how_o it_o come_v not_o to_o pass_v by_o chance_n or_o fortune_n unto_o which_o for_o the_o most_o part_n these_o so_o many_o admirable_a work_n of_o god_n be_v attribute_v the_o prophet_n meaning_n than_o be_v after_o the_o lord_n shall_v have_v fraied_a the_o enemy_n away_o he_o will_v hold_v he_o so_o short_a that_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o renew_v his_o army_n again_o and_o thus_o thou_o shall_v live_v quiet_o in_o thy_o kingdom_n which_o shall_v bring_v thou_o forth_o fruit_n in_o such_o abundance_n that_o thou_o shall_v want_v nothing_o now_o in_o regard_n that_o part_n of_o their_o store_n be_v spend_v and_o the_o rest_n waste_v as_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v ordinary_o in_o such_o public_a calamity_n and_o that_o it_o be_v not_o permit_v they_o to_o till_o the_o earth_n he_o promise_v increase_v to_o this_o little_a remnant_n for_o albeit_o the_o siege_n be_v raise_v yet_o the_o people_n be_v much_o diminish_v they_o have_v small_a cause_n to_o rejoice_v &_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o unlikely_a to_o expect_v a_o full_a restauration_n of_o such_o a_o handful_n of_o people_n that_o he_o may_v a_o little_a revive_v their_o sorrowful_a heart_n then_o he_o appear_v afterward_o in_o their_o deliverance_n and_o we_o at_o this_o day_n be_v to_o expect_v the_o like_a favour_n from_o god_n which_o he_o have_v heretofore_o show_v to_o his_o people_n that_o when_o we_o see_v the_o church_n at_o the_o last_o cast_v give_v up_o the_o ghost_n as_o it_o be_v yet_o they_o we_o may_v assure_v ourselves_o notwithstanding_o that_o god_n have_v mean_n enough_o ready_a at_o hand_n to_o multiply_v this_o small_a remnant_n again_o for_o such_o a_o restauration_n must_v not_o be_v measure_v according_a to_o the_o scantell_n of_o our_o reason_n but_o he_o say_v this_o world_n have_v fight_n the_o church_n of_o god_n must_v live_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o fight_n yet_o will_v the_o lord_n give_v it_o such_o a_o inward_a and_o secret_a power_n that_o by_o mean_n thereof_o she_o shall_v flourish_v and_o grow_v contrary_a to_o all_o hope_n and_o reason_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n let_v we_o not_o be_v out_o of_o heart_n then_o though_o the_o church_n seem_v to_o want_v root_n neither_o let_v we_o not_o think_v she_o have_v none_o because_o they_o appear_v not_o to_o our_o sight_n for_o the_o lord_n have_v promise_v she_o shall_v take_v root_n downward_o now_o he_o add_v the_o fruit_n also_o because_o the_o church_n flourish_v not_o only_o as_o the_o grass_n on_o the_o house_n top_n which_o be_v the_o estate_n of_o the_o wicked_a as_o we_o observe_v in_o the_o 27._o verse_n but_o she_o shall_v bring_v forth_o plentiful_a increase_n and_o thus_o the_o lord_n will_v finish_v in_o she_o the_o good_a work_n he_o have_v begin_v verse_n 32._o
