there_o renounce_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n and_o devote_v ourselves_o to_o god_n and_o his_o service_n for_o ever_o this_o be_v general_a and_o common_a to_o all_o christian_n but_o there_o be_v a_o more_o special_a fidelity_n require_v in_o minister_n who_o god_n have_v in_o trust_v with_o his_o sacred_a oracle_n and_o truth_n such_o steward_n especial_o must_v be_v faithful_a 1_o cor._n 4.2_o such_o a_o one_o be_v paul_n he_o be_v not_o only_o faithful_a as_o a_o christian_a in_o general_a but_o as_o a_o pastor_n he_o faithful_o distribute_v to_o all_o the_o bread_n of_o the_o enemy_n of_o their_o salvation_n many_o take_v great_a pain_n to_o little_a purpose_n i_o have_v not_o do_v so_o say_v paul_n i_o have_v fight_v a_o good_a fight_n and_o be_o assure_v of_o a_o crown_n of_o life_n at_o last_o however_o it_o go_v with_o i_o now_o he_o have_v commit_v a_o depositum_fw-la to_o god_n he_o trust_v he_o with_o his_o salvation_n 2_o tim._n 1.12_o and_o god_n have_v deposit_v his_o truth_n to_o he_o now_o paul_n keep_v the_o truth_n which_o god_n have_v leave_v with_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o do_v believe_v that_o god_n will_v keep_v that_o which_o he_o have_v commit_v to_o he_o so_o that_o if_o i_o have_v three_o thing_n to_o wish_v i_o shall_v wish_v for_o paul_n threefold_a crown_n 1._o the_o crown_n of_o grace_n a_o great_a measure_n of_o grace_n to_o do_v christ_n much_o service_n 2._o his_o crown_n of_o joy_n a_o great_a measure_n of_o joy_n to_o go_v through_o with_o that_o service_n 3._o the_o crown_n of_o glory_n which_o he_o be_v here_o assure_v of_o in_o the_o word_n we_o have_v first_o the_o conclude_a particle_n henceforth_o last_o as_o for_o that_o which_o remain_v 2._o we_o have_v the_o reward_n of_o the_o faithful_a no_o less_o than_o a_o crown_n not_o gold_n or_o fade_a flower_n but_o a_o crown_n with_o a_o adjunct_n a_o crown_n of_o righteousness_n which_o be_v a_o periphrasis_n of_o heaven_n and_o eternal_a happiness_n 3._o the_o person_n reward_v christ_n who_o be_v here_o periphrastical_o describe_v by_o two_o title_n viz._n lord_n and_o judge_n together_o with_o a_o adjunct_n a_o righteous_a judge_n 4._o here_o be_v the_o person_n reward_v not_o only_a paul_n but_o also_o all_o the_o faithful_a who_o be_v here_o describe_v by_o their_o affection_n to_o christ_n they_o love_v and_o long_a for_o his_o come_n to_o judgement_n 5._o hence_o the_o certainty_n of_o this_o reward_n it_o be_v lay_v up_o for_o they_o and_o he_o be_v righteous_a and_o faithful_a who_o have_v promise_v 6._o here_o be_v the_o time_n when_o they_o shall_v receive_v this_o reward_n or_o the_o day_n of_o their_o coronation_n and_o that_o be_v in_o that_o day_n i_o at_o that_o great_a and_o glorious_a day_n of_o the_o lord_n when_o
