that_o as_o much_o too_o say_v as_o that_o we_o can_v deserve_v ought_v for_o there_o be_v none_o of_o we_o all_o that_o discharge_v his_o duty_n as_o we_o shall_v see_v hereafter_o that_o promise_n will_v be_v too_o no_o purpose_n or_o at_o least_o wise_a it_o will_v be_v unavaylable_a so_o as_o it_o shall_v never_o take_v effect_n unless_o god_n give_v we_o another_o remedy_n that_o be_v too_o wit_n unless_o he_o forgive_v our_o offence_n and_o accept_v we_o for_o righteous_a although_o we_o be_v not_o so_o but_o how_o so_o ever_o the_o case_n stand_v when_o s._n paul_n say_v that_o we_o be_v not_o iustify_v by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n his_o meaning_n be_v that_o if_o we_o intend_v too_o claim_v favour_n and_o salvation_n because_o god_n have_v promise_v that_o such_o as_o keep_v his_o law_n shall_v be_v righteous_a and_o so_o take_v to_o be_v that_o will_v not_o serve_v our_o turn_n because_o none_o of_o we_o fulfil_v the_o law_n but_o we_o be_v all_o of_o we_o gyltie_n before_o god_n and_o must_v receyve_v sentence_n of_o damnation_n upon_o our_o head_n and_o for_o the_o better_a express_v hereof_o he_o make_v a_o comparison_n between_o the_o jew_n &_o the_o gentile_n although_o say_v he_o that_o we_o be_v jew_n by_o nature_n and_o not_o heathen_a man_n yet_o do_v we_o know_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o otherwise_o obtain_v god_n favour_n than_o by_o another_o question_n namely_o whether_o the_o law_n be_v against_o the_o promise_n for_o sure_o when_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o law_n promise_v we_o salvation_n upon_o condition_n that_o we_o deserve_v it_o and_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n tell_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v take_v into_o god_n favour_n without_o any_o deserve_a a_o man_n will_v think_v there_o be_v some_o contrariety_n in_o the_o matter_n as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v offer_v i_o a_o house_n so_o i_o will_v pay_v well_o for_o it_o and_o do_v set_v i_o a_o price_n of_o it_o and_o another_o man_n shall_v say_v unto_o i_o no_o thou_o shall_v have_v it_o for_o nothing_o there_o be_v great_a contrariety_n in_o these_o say_n and_o it_o seem_v that_o in_o speak_v after_o that_o fashion_n god_n unsay_v that_o which_o he_o have_v speak_v in_o his_o law_n where_o he_o say_v serve_v i_o and_o keep_v my_o commandment_n &_o you_o shall_v not_o miss_v of_o your_o wage_n for_o in_o the_o gospel_n he_o speak_v another_o language_n say_v i_o require_v nothing_o of_o you_o for_o you_o be_v so_o wretched_a that_o you_o can_v give_v i_o nothing_o but_o i_o receyve_v you_o into_o my_o kingdom_n frank_o the_o mark_n that_o he_o shoot_v at_o we_o shall_v perceyve_v there_o be_v no_o contrariety_n in_o the_o matter_n for_o as_o i_o have_v tell_v you_o this_o morning_n god_n promise_v of_o reward_n to_o our_o work_n be_v not_o to_o beguile_v we_o but_o to_o stop_v our_o mouth_n that_o we_o may_v not_o repine_v against_o he_o as_o we_o see_v that_o the_o world_n do_v which_o be_v always_o ready_a to_o carp_v at_o he_o with_o devilish_a malapertnesse_n when_o he_o handle_v they_o not_o after_o their_o own_o will_n and_o like_n god_n then_o cut_v off_o all_o occasion_n of_o grudge_v when_o he_o tell_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v disappoint_v of_o our_o wage_n for_o our_o well_o serve_v of_o he_o furthermore_o let_v every_o of_o we_o examine_v himself_o well_o and_o he_o shall_v find_v that_o that_o be_v not_o the_o match_n whereby_o we_o must_v obtain_v salvation_n for_o there_o be_v none_o of_o we_o all_o but_o he_o may_v condemn_v himself_o by_o his_o own_o life_n if_o he_o judge_v without_o flatter_v but_o after_o that_o god_n have_v speak_v after_o that_o fashion_n he_o offer_v we_o remedy_n in_o the_o gospel_n and_o tell_v we_o that_o for_o as_o much_o as_o we_o be_v damn_v and_o can_v not_o hope_v to_o attain_v any_o salvation_n by_o our_o work_n he_o himself_o offer_v it_o we_o of_o his_o own_o free_a goodness_n because_o it_o please_v he_o so_o to_o do_v and_o for_o that_o cause_n s._n paul_n answer_v if_o the_o law_n have_v be_v give_v to_o justify_v i_o can_v well_o enough_o grant_v that_o righteousness_n shall_v be_v give_v we_o by_o it_o but_o let_v we_o see_v whether_o god_n mean_v that_o or_o no._n it_o be_v certain_a he_o mean_v it_o not_o then_o send_v he_o we_o to_o god_n purpose_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v that_o the_o hypocrite_n which_o be_v so_o puff_v up_o with_o pride_n &_o overween_a that_o they_o think_v they_o be_v able_a to_o justify_v themselves_o &_o to_o win_v heaven_n be_v ill_a expounder_n of_o god_n law_n yea_o &_o falsifier_n thereof_o for_o man_n must_v always_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o the_o intent_n of_o the_o speaker_n now_o god_n mean_v not_o to_o set_v man_n a_o gog_n with_o any_o trust_n in_o their_o own_o wit_n &_o deserve_n for_o we_o be_v too_o much_o give_v to_o that_o of_o our_o own_o nature_n we_o see_v it_o have_v be_v a_o common_a error_n through_o the_o whole_a world_n in_o all_o age_n therefore_o we_o need_v no_o schol_n to_o persuade_v we_o that_o we_o be_v able_a folk_n &_o that_o we_o can_v bind_v god_n to_o we_o by_o our_o virtuous_a do_n but_o contrariwise_o god_n have_v give_v we_o his_o law_n to_o the_o intent_n we_o shall_v be_v wound_v with_o it_o as_o with_o a_o sword_n &_o the_o stripe_n be_v so_o deadly_a as_o we_o may_v be_v constrain_v to_o flee_v to_o he_o for_o succour_n see_v then_o that_o god_n will_v it_o to_o slay_v we_o by_o the_o law_n it_o be_v not_o give_v we_o to_o make_v we_o righteous_a and_o therefore_o they_o that_o seek_v their_o life_n &_o welfare_n there_o beguile_v themselves_o and_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n why_o they_o shall_v allege_v for_o then selue_o yea_o how_o so_o god_n have_v promise_v i_o it_o no_o but_o they_o must_v consider_v to_o what_o end_n he_o say_v so_o now_o we_o see_v how_o s._n paul_n have_v discuss_v this_o question_n that_o there_o be_v no_o contrariety_n between_o the_o law_n &_o the_o gospel_n of_o meat_n or_o by_o keep_v such_o a_o holiday_n or_o such_o a_o feast_n whereas_o notwithstanding_o s._n paul_n treat_v of_o none_o of_o all_o those_o thing_n he_o match_v god_n grace_n against_o all_o our_o work_n and_o final_o show_v that_o we_o can_v bring_v aught_o unto_o god_n but_o that_o we_o must_v be_v fain_o to_o be_v admit_v free_o of_o he_o that_o be_v s._n paul_n drift_n and_o
