exception_n be_v plain_o ridiculous_a he_o say_v all_o where_o the_o gospel_n come_v shall_v understand_v and_o believe_v it_o but_o its_o thâ—se_a only_o that_o by_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o and_o according_o reject_v by_o he_o and_o to_o confute_v this_o mr._n c._n tell_v we_o that_o no_o unbeliever_n have_v this_o understanding_n indeed_o but_o if_o he_o do_v believe_v and_o obey_v he_o shall_v have_v it_o as_o if_o to_o obey_v and_o believe_v the_o gospel_n be_v not_o to_o receive_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n spirit_n the_o sum_n be_v this_o if_o he_o do_v believe_v he_o may_v if_o we_o may_v suppose_v the_o ministry_n to_o go_v without_o the_o spirit_n work_v therein_o than_o we_o may_v suppose_v a_o pâ—ssibility_n in_o respect_n of_o power_n else_o man_n can_v not_o be_v condemn_v for_o not_o believe_v etc._n etc._n the_o absurd_a folly_n of_o his_o supposition_n that_o by_o our_o sin_n we_o out_o god_n short_a of_o right_a to_o command_v our_o obedience_n to_o his_o not_o stick_v at_o the_o gross_a pelagianism_n but_o suppose_v man_n in_o his_o fall_a state_n by_o his_o corrupt_a mind_n and_o natural_a capacity_n without_o any_o work_n of_o god_n spirit_n upon_o he_o to_o be_v capable_a of_o discern_v believe_a and_o yield_v acceptable_a obedience_n to_o the_o revelation_n of_o god_n contain_v in_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n howbeit_o we_o have_v hear_v the_o scripture_n teach_v other_o doctrine_n and_o the_o apostle_n paul_n be_v so_o far_o from_o this_o proud_a conceit_n of_o himself_o that_o he_o confess_v the_o quite_o contrary_a viz._n 2_o cor._n 3._o 5._o that_o we_o be_v not_o sufficient_a of_o ourselves_o to_o think_v any_o thing_n as_o of_o ourselves_o but_o our_o sufficiency_n be_v of_o god_n i._n e._n it_o be_v of_o god_n in_o a_o work_v thus_o as_o a_o principle_n in_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v a_o man_n own_o lust_n shall_v we_o then_o suppose_v actual_a transgression_n to_o be_v a_o sin_n and_o the_o work_n of_o that_o principle_n in_o a_o mar_v that_o dispose_v to_o it_o not_o to_o be_v so_o have_v god_n no_o regard_n to_o the_o heart_n and_o principle_n of_o man_n and_o the_o habit_n of_o their_o soul_n do_v not_o most_o holy_a and_o precious_a faith_n of_o god_n elect_n which_o purify_v the_o heart_n and_o the_o temporary_a feign_a faith_n of_o simon_n magus_n notwithstanding_o which_o he_o be_v in_o the_o gall_n of_o bitterness_n and_o the_o bond_n of_o iniquity_n the_o text_n which_o he_o insinuate_v a_o perversion_n of_o be_v 1_o tim._n 1._o 19_o hold_v faith_n and_o a_o good_a conscience_n which_o some_o have_v put_v away_o concern_v faith_n have_v make_v shipwreck_n by_o faith_n here_o as_o in_o some_o other_o place_n we_o be_v to_o understand_v the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n the_o truth_n of_o plead_v be_v only_o comparative_a they_o shall_v be_v torment_v less_o than_o those_o that_o have_v reject_v the_o gospel_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o our_o saviour_n in_o that_o and_o like_a text_n be_v to_o this_o purpose_n that_o the_o condemnation_n of_o the_o sodomite_n will_v be_v great_a be_v easy_o grant_v by_o you_o because_o they_o be_v great_a sinner_n and_o you_o be_v promise_v to_o seeing_n god_n have_v be_v or_o will_v be_v pacify_v in_o judgement_n why_o shall_v we_o suppose_v he_o to_o be_v unreconcilable_a and_o never_o to_o be_v pacify_v in_o this_o last_o and_o great_a aâ—d_v common_a grace_n which_o they_o have_v receive_v yet_o in_o a_o large_a sense_n may_v be_v term_v hypocrite_n as_o they_o be_v oppose_v to_o they_o who_o have_v receive_v the_o spirit_n with_o have_v do_v in_o a_o matter_n of_o so_o great_a importance_n chap._n vi_o of_o justification_n that_o article_n of_o our_o faith_n which_o concern_v the_o justification_n of_o a_o sinner_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n must_v needs_o be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v of_o great_a importance_n and_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v more_o careful_a of_o nothing_o then_o that_o our_o mind_n be_v not_o corrupt_v from_o the_o simplicity_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o we_o move_v from_o our_o stead_n fastness_n thereabouts_o and_o therefore_o although_o mr._n collier_n in_o the_o book_n before_o i_o have_v say_v
