here_o in_o the_o 15_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n the_o prodigal_n will_v needs_o have_v his_o portion_n and_o he_o will_v not_o ever_o be_v a_o slave_n in_o his_o father_n family_n well_o he_o from_o christ_n but_o from_o himself_o and_o from_o his_o own_o ability_n so_o that_o the_o soul_n be_v in_o this_o great_a extremity_n of_o heart_n by_o reason_n of_o his_o sin_n he_o dare_v not_o nay_o he_o will_v not_o meddle_v with_o sin_n any_o more_o but_o it_o betake_v itself_o to_o hear_v and_o pray_v and_o to_o other_o duty_n ordinary_a and_o extraordinary_a and_o by_o these_o he_o think_v to_o be_v absolute_o succour_v i_o confess_v the_o best_a of_o god_n saint_n must_v use_v these_o mean_n they_o must_v hear_v and_o pray_v and_o fast_o but_o they_o must_v not_o rest_v upon_o these_o it_o be_v very_o fit_a that_o the_o prodigal_n shall_v labour_v for_o his_o live_n but_o not_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o withal_o seek_v home_o to_o his_o father_n for_o relief_n so_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o we_o shall_v hear_v and_o pray_v and_o fast_o but_o these_o shall_v not_o keep_v we_o from_o a_o father_n it_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o man_n natural_o to_o make_v of_o mean_n proceed_v in_o judgement_n against_o thou_o to_o thy_o destruction_n for_o ever_o our_o repentance_n and_o amendment_n be_v a_o new_a duty_n which_o the_o lord_n require_v of_o we_o from_o the_o gospel_n but_o it_o be_v not_o the_o pay_n of_o the_o old_a debt_n for_o if_o we_o do_v not_o repent_v we_o stand_v guilty_a of_o the_o breach_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o so_o must_v satisfy_v for_o that_o sin_n the_o breach_n of_o the_o law_n be_v sin_n and_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v not_o repentance_n nor_o amendment_n but_o it_o be_v death_n then_o repentance_n will_v not_o satisfy_v for_o sin_n no_o no_o the_o wage_n that_o must_v be_v lay_v down_o for_o a_o man_n sin_n be_v death_n as_o the_o lord_n say_v in_o the_o day_n that_o thou_o eat_v give_v to_o adam_n in_o his_o innocency_n perfect_a holiness_n and_o righteousness_n insomuch_o that_o he_o be_v able_a to_o keep_v the_o law_n and_o to_o purchase_v favour_n for_o himself_o adam_n then_o fall_v and_o spend_v all_o that_o stock_n of_o grace_n and_o if_o we_o have_v our_o stock_n in_o our_o own_o hand_n we_o shall_v spend_v all_o and_o be_v ruinate_v for_o ever_o if_o god_n do_v leave_v we_o to_o ourselves_o if_o adam_n have_v no_o sin_n can_v not_o keep_v himself_o in_o that_o happy_a estate_n much_o less_o be_v we_o able_a that_o have_v much_o corruption_n in_o we_o in_o frame_n here_o and_o to_o bring_v we_o to_o a_o kingdom_n for_o ever_o hereafter_o when_o adam_n have_v spend_v all_o the_o stock_n of_o grace_n and_o prove_v a_o bankrupt_a the_o lord_n will_v raise_v he_o up_o again_o but_o he_o will_v not_o put_v the_o stock_n into_o his_o own_o hand_n again_o but_o he_o put_v it_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o christ_n as_o a_o man_n that_o give_v his_o child_n a_o portion_n and_o he_o spend_v it_o all_o now_o his_o father_n will_v raise_v he_o again_o but_o will_v not_o put_v it_o into_o his_o own_o hand_n but_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o some_o friend_n and_o will_v have_v his_o son_n go_v to_o that_o man_n for_o his_o allowance_n every_o day_n and_o for_o every_o meal_n so_o it_o be_v with_o the_o lord_n our_o heavenly_a father_n because_o
