with_o famine_n pestilence_n war_n captivity_n etc._n etc._n until_o they_o do_v repent_v and_o when_o they_o repent_v or_o cease_v from_o their_o wicked_a way_n and_o work_n than_o the_o lord_n will_v also_o repent_v or_o remove_v the_o judgement_n for_o temporal_a blessing_n be_v promise_v upon_o condition_n of_o outward_a obedience_n and_o temporal_a punishment_n be_v divert_v or_o turn_v away_o upon_o their_o legal_a repentance_n and_o cease_v from_o their_o evil_a way_n in_o the_o time_n of_o ezekiel_n pprophecy_n the_o israelite_n be_v many_o of_o they_o in_o captivity_n already_o and_o the_o rest_n of_o they_o be_v threaten_v and_o when_o the_o lord_n by_o the_o prophet_n call_v for_o repentance_n the_o people_n think_v it_o be_v to_o small_a purpose_n to_o 10._o repent_v see_v their_o father_n have_v eat_v sour_a grape_n and_o their_o tooth_n be_v set_v on_o edge_n and_o that_o it_o be_v but_o a_o light_a business_n to_o promise_v they_o any_o good_a upon_o condition_n of_o repentance_n see_v they_o do_v but_o pine_v away_o in_o their_o father_n sin_n to_o which_o the_o lord_n command_v the_o prophet_n to_o tell_v they_o that_o it_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n it_o be_v their_o own_o sin_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o misery_n and_o that_o if_o they_o 11._o will_v return_v from_o their_o idolatry_n and_o other_o abomination_n he_o will_v cease_v from_o punish_v of_o they_o and_o hereupon_o use_v that_o solemn_a oath_n as_o i_o live_v i_o have_v no_o delight_n in_o plague_v you_o i_o have_v rather_o you_o will_v turn_v from_o your_o evil_a way_n and_o live_v in_o your_o own_o land_n why_o will_v you_o die_v or_o why_o will_v you_o be_v slay_v or_o die_v by_o famine_n or_o pestilence_n etc._n etc._n and_o so_o our_o saviour_n tell_v those_o which_o speak_v to_o he_o of_o pilate_n cruelty_n that_o unless_o they_o do_v repent_v they_o 3_o shall_v likewise_o perish_v mean_v that_o some_o temporal_a judgement_n will_v overtake_v they_o and_o thus_o legal_a repentance_n 29._o serve_v only_o for_o the_o prevent_n or_o divert_v of_o temporal_a punishment_n but_o repentance_n which_o be_v of_o the_o gospel_n be_v not_o any_o mean_n or_o condition_n of_o life_n for_o eternal_a life_n be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n and_o it_o 23._o be_v a_o free_a gift_n and_o not_o purchase_v
