be_o sure_a in_o my_o own_o write_a paper_n which_o one_o alone_o and_o no_o more_o i_o ever_o have_v which_o be_v now_o in_o my_o custody_n where_o as_o your_o pamphlet_n have_v it_o that_o which_o be_v the_o effect_n and_o consequent_a of_o reprobation_n be_v and_o so_o shall_v be_v that_o which_o be_v the_o efflux_n and_o consequent_a of_o reprobation_n which_v one_o word_n of_o effect_n for_o efflux_n do_v much_o vary_v the_o case_n and_o overthrow_n at_o least_o silence_v a_o great_a part_n if_o not_o all_o what_o you_o have_v say_v against_o it_o for_o i_o utter_o disow_v the_o word_n effect_n i_o know_v sin_n follow_v negative_a reprobation_n or_o nonelection_n not_o as_o a_o effect_n the_o cause_n but_o as_o the_o consequent_a flow_v from_o and_o follow_v its_o antecedent_n and_o therefore_o i_o protest_v against_o the_o word_n as_o spurious_a and_o illegitimate_a and_o no_o brood_n of_o my_o brain_n but_o yet_o if_o cause_n may_v be_v look_v upon_o in_o the_o latitude_n it_o be_v many_o time_n use_v and_o take_v for_o i_o see_v not_o but_o that_o in_o a_o large_a sense_n reprobation_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o cause_n of_o sin_n viz._n causa_fw-la sine_fw-la qua_fw-la non_fw-la for_o have_v there_o not_o be_v such_o a_o negative_a reprobation_n or_o nonelection_n as_o the_o mother_n sin_n at_o least_o actual_a sin_n have_v never_o be_v bear_v nor_o bring_v into_o the_o world_n as_o the_o daughter_n have_v god_n elect_v all_o at_o least_o have_v not_o god_n decree_v to_o permit_v the_o sin_n of_o adam_n and_o of_o his_o posterity_n he_o have_v not_o permit_v it_o at_o all_o for_o whatsoever_o he_o purpose_v to_o do_v or_o permit_v to_o be_v do_v in_o time_n the_o same_o he_o do_v decree_n before_o all_o time_n so_o to_o do_v or_o to_o permit_v to_o be_v do_v and_o if_o he_o have_v not_o permit_v sin_n at_o all_o and_o so_o decree_v to_o permit_v it_o sin_n will_v never_o have_v be_v but_o it_o must_v have_v be_v hinder_v but_o i_o insist_v not_o upon_o this_o but_o apply_v myself_o to_o that_o member_n of_o your_o distinction_n of_o reprobation_n viz._n that_o which_o be_v before_o all_o time_n wherein_o for_o so_o much_o as_o be_v contend_v for_o by_o you_o in_o this_o paragraph_n if_o i_o may_v gratify_v you_o in_o it_o i_o will_v subscribe_v unto_o it_o abate_v i_o but_o this_o that_o whereas_o you_o say_v lust_n be_v sense_n as_o man_n delay_n and_o not_o come_v in_o while_o the_o door_n be_v open_a be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o door_n be_v shut_v against_o they_o and_o the_o door_n be_v shut_v against_o they_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o abide_n still_o without_o wherefore_o strive_v to_o enter_v in_o at_o the_o straight_a gate_n before_o the_o good_a man_n of_o the_o house_n be_v rise_v up_o and_o have_v shut_v to_o the_o door_n luke_n 13.24_o 25._o while_o it_o be_v call_v to_o day_n lest_o any_o of_o you_o be_v harden_v through_o the_o deceitfulness_n of_o sin_n heb._n 3.13_o answ_n i_o wonder_v why_o you_o shall_v think_v i_o mean_v it_o of_o reprobation_n in_o time_n which_o be_v not_o in_o the_o decree_n about_o which_o our_o controversy_n be_v but_o only_o the_o execution_n of_o the_o decree_n though_o this_o be_v your_o practice_n yet_o i_o use_v no_o such_o extravagancy_n as_o to_o run_v from_o the_o question_n which_o be_v only_o about_o reprobation_n before_o all_o time_n and_o therefore_o this_o require_v no_o other_o answer_n i_o proceed_v to_o that_o where_o you_o hit_v the_o nail_n on_o the_o head_n for_o thus_o you_o write_v but_o i_o do_v partly_o believe_v that_o his_o meaning_n by_o reprobation_n in_o his_o argument_n be_v that_o which_o be_v general_o hold_v among_o they_o that_o god_n will_v and_o decree_n before_o any_o thing_n be_v bring_v forth_o in_o order_n or_o before_o man_n have_v any_o be_v be_v the_o only_a and_o alone_a cause_n of_o reprobation_n and_o so_o consequent_o of_o sin_n and_o unbelief_n and_o the_o reject_v of_o the_o mean_n of_o salvation_n and_o that_o no_o other_o fruit_n at_o any_o time_n can_v be_v bring_v forth_o by_o they_o notwithstanding_o all_o that_o they_o can_v do_v but_o that_o these_o thing_n must_v avoidable_o follow_v they_o be_v bind_v up_o thereunto_o by_o the_o decree_n of_o god_n and_o that_o which_o do_v make_v i_o inclinable_a to_o believe_v that_o his_o meaning_n be_v so_o be_v because_o i_o find_v his_o argument_n tend_v much_o to_o the_o maintain_n of_o such_o a_o thing_n answ_n all_o this_o i_o steadfast_o believe_v save_v a_o ill-favoured_a expression_n that_o be_v interweave_v viz._n that_o be_v bind_v up_o thereunto_o by_o the_o decree_n of_o god_n which_v in_o my_o subsequent_a discourse_n shall_v be_v clear_o refuse_v but_o as_o though_o that_o in_o thus_o affirm_v i_o
