idolatrous_a people_n they_o little_o know_v what_o need_n they_o have_v to_o fly_v to_o the_o promise_n of_o grace_n and_o therefore_o the_o lord_n now_o reveal_v his_o law_n to_o they_o in_o that_o manner_n to_o make_v they_o see_v by_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n that_o they_o can_v come_v near_o unto_o god_n thereby_o this_o be_v the_o lord_n end_n in_o give_v the_o law_n unto_o they_o and_o mean_n of_o life_n by_o which_o we_o may_v live_v 2._o respective_o as_o have_v reference_n to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o so_o it_o be_v give_v to_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n at_o mount_n sinai_n both_o as_o antecedent_n and_o consequent_a thereto_o as_o antecedent_n to_o it_o to_o prepare_v they_o for_o christ_n and_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o also_o as_o subsequent_a to_o it_o to_o teach_v they_o how_o to_o walk_v and_o please_v god_n when_o they_o be_v enter_v into_o a_o new_a covenant_n with_o he_o and_o thus_o be_v it_o give_v unto_o they_o and_o it_o he_o speak_v from_o chapter_n 3.17_o to_o chapter_n 4.21_o and_o then_o from_o the_o begin_n of_o ver_fw-la 21._o of_o the_o four_o chapter_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o chapter_n there_o he_o begin_v to_o entreat_v of_o the_o law_n as_o simple_o consider_v in_o itself_o and_o indeed_o if_o we_o so_o consider_v it_o simple_o by_o itself_o it_o do_v contain_v nothing_o but_o a_o covenant_n etc._n etc._n again_o that_o which_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o law_n in_o chap._n 4.29_o 30._o with_o the_o verse_n before_o from_o ver_fw-la 21._o to_o the_o end_n can_v be_v apply_v otherwise_o then_o
