assurance_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n that_o he_o preach_v by_o his_o own_o feel_n he_o speak_v nothing_o but_o of_o faith_n and_o particular_a assurance_n a_o general_a assurance_n be_v naught_o for_o before_o i_o preach_v the_o grace_n of_o christ_n i_o must_v seek_v my_o warrant_n in_o my_o heart_n that_o that_o grace_n righteousness_n &_o life_n i_o teach_v be_v settle_v in_o my_o mind_n and_o upon_o this_o assurance_n i_o must_v speak_v to_o other_o and_o if_o the_o speaker_n albeit_o the_o grace_n be_v never_o so_o good_a have_v not_o in_o his_o heart_n a_o assurance_n of_o that_o go_v on_o in_o edify_v and_o exhort_v to_o the_o build_n up_o of_o the_o body_n now_o beside_o this_o consider_v you_o not_o the_o sluggishness_n of_o our_o nature_n our_o nature_n be_v so_o dead_a though_o the_o word_n have_v nothing_o ado_n with_o the_o spirit_n nor_o the_o spirit_n with_o the_o
and_o prayer_n and_o he_o say_v this_o be_v that_o confidence_n we_o have_v in_o the_o lord_n that_o if_o we_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o his_o will_n he_o will_v hear_v we_o there_o be_v confidence_n in_o prayer_n that_o when_o we_o pray_v we_o shall_v have_v that_o assurance_n that_o god_n will_v give_v we_o these_o thing_n we_o seek_v not_o according_a to_o our_o will_n but_o according_a to_o his_o own_o will_n it_o be_v his_o will_n that_o we_o shall_v have_v these_o heavenly_a thing_n through_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o our_o prayer_n for_o they_o not_o a_o nip_n on_o they_o except_o they_o work_v yet_o notwithstanding_o of_o this_o great_a number_n of_o man_n get_v meat_n and_o life_n albeit_o they_o work_v not_o as_o in_o edinburgh_n this_o
