of_o grace_n and_o goodness_n and_o the_o love_n of_o any_o sin_n can_v be_v in_o one_o heart_n they_o be_v so_o contrary_a the_o one_o to_o the_o other_o therefore_o while_o thou_o live_v in_o any_o know_a sin_n and_o love_v any_o lust_n as_o sure_a as_o god_n be_v in_o heaven_n thou_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n and_o let_v i_o perish_v if_o there_o be_v one_o dram_n of_o true_a grace_n in_o thou_o but_o thou_o stand_v in_o the_o state_n of_o damnation_n therefore_o renounce_v and_o bid_v adieu_o to_o thy_o lust_n use._n and_o see_v you_o make_v a_o profession_n and_o do_v many_o thing_n will_v do_v it_o and_o what_o be_v we_o prone_a to_o by_o nature_n but_o to_o all_o the_o evil_a in_o the_o world_n therefore_o the_o devil_n labour_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o hold_v people_n in_o blindness_n &_o of_o all_o book_n have_v most_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o the_o bible_n and_o to_o sincere_a and_o diligent_a read_n and_o preach_v the_o scripture_n for_o be_v those_o away_o he_o know_v all_o iniquity_n must_v needs_o abound_v as_o there_o do_v in_o popery_n when_o people_n be_v nuzzle_v up_o in_o blindeness_n o_o what_o abundance_n of_o sin_n be_v commit_v but_o it_o do_v not_o so_o much_o appear_v because_o they_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a and_o the_o light_n of_o god_n word_n discover_v sin_n which_o be_v then_o very_o rare_a simile_n as_o if_o one_o come_v into_o a_o house_n at_o midnight_n he_o â—ees_v no_o fault_n but_o when_o the_o morning_n come_v than_o he_o see_v a_o number_n of_o thing_n out_o of_o order_n so_o in_o this_o clear_a light_n of_o the_o gospel_n we_o see_v the_o wickedness_n that_o then_o appear_v not_o in_o the_o dark_a whether_o will_v not_o our_o nature_n run_v and_o whether_o may_v not_o the_o devil_n and_o world_n lead_v one_o when_o he_o have_v no_o eye_n to_o see_v whether_o he_o go_v the_o blind_a eat_v many_o a_o fly_n and_o a_o man_n may_v lead_v a_o blind_a man_n into_o the_o deep_a pit_n simile_n as_o the_o raven_n first_o pick_v out_o the_o lamb_n eye_n and_o then_o kill_v it_o at_o his_o pleasure_n when_o it_o can_v see_v to_o escape_v away_o so_o do_v the_o devil_n by_o people_n ignorance_n be_v often_o compare_v to_o darkness_n and_o they_o that_o go_v in_o the_o dark_a often_o stumble_v fall_v and_o hurt_v themselves_o samson_n when_o blind_a be_v lead_v to_o any_o thing_n as_o to_o grind_v to_o make_v sport_n etc._n etc._n 1._o this_o teach_v we_o to_o desire_v that_o the_o clear_a light_n of_o the_o word_n may_v shine_v more_o and_o more_o bright_o into_o all_o place_n of_o this_o land_n 1_o for_o there_o be_v many_o place_n that_o have_v either_o no_o preach_v or_o else_o very_a seldom_o so_o as_o for_o want_v of_o knowledge_n people_n wallow_v in_o a_o number_n of_o lust_n most_o fearful_o the_o lord_n day_n most_o grievous_o profane_v preacher_n slight_v etc._n etc._n 2._o every_o minister_n be_v to_o endeavour_v to_o the_o utmost_a of_o his_o power_n 2._o to_o bring_v their_o people_n to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o their_o duty_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v either_o true_o convert_v or_o at_o least_o hereby_o restrain_v 3._o people_z be_v to_o labour_v for_o knowledge_n 3_o else_o they_o must_v needs_o be_v captive_n of_o many_o lust_n think_v not_o as_o many_o do_v because_o you_o be_v poor_a and_o not_o book-learned_a therefore_o you_o shall_v be_v hold_v excuse_v many_o think_v their_o very_a ignorance_n shall_v be_v a_o good_a plea_n because_o they_o know_v nothing_o god_n will_v hold_v they_o excuse_v 19_o be_v light_n come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o shall_v man_n sin_n call_v they_o ignorant_a 1._o because_o though_o they_o be_v so_o cunning_a in_o the_o law_n and_o prophet_n yet_o they_o know_v not_o jesus_n christ_n the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n and_o so_o the_o sum_n of_o all_o 2._o their_o knowledge_n be_v only_o in_o their_o brain_n and_o not_o effectual_a in_o their_o heart_n to_o renew_v and_o reform_v they_o etc._n but_o they_o be_v carry_v away_o by_o and_o have_v now_o put_v a_o difference_n and_o that_o for_o no_o goodness_n in_o we_o rather_o than_o in_o other_o and_o have_v he_o do_v so_o to_o all_o our_o companion_n no_o they_o abide_v in_o ignorance_n unbelief_n impenitency_n and_o now_o our_o work_n must_v be_v this_o even_o to_o study_v after_o holiness_n more_o and_o more_o be_v call_v out_o of_o the_o world_n that_o we_o shall_v no_o long_o fashion_v ourselves_o according_a to_o the_o same_o have_v no_o fellowship_n with_o the_o unfruitful_a work_n of_o darkness_n 11._o but_o reprove_v they_o rather_o as_o you_o will_v be_v loath_a to_o be_v put_v back_o with_o the_o world_n and_o have_v as_o they_o shall_v so_o be_v not_o as_o they_o no_o not_o in_o the_o least_o thing_n and_o as_o our_o hope_n be_v in_o heaven_n so_o have_v we_o our_o conversation_n there_o as_o be_v call_v of_o god_n to_o that_o high_a privilege_n if_o you_o be_v not_o effectual_o call_v and_o have_v have_v so_o long_o and_o so_o great_a mean_n of_o call_v it_o be_v a_o fearful_a sign_n that_o you_o harken_v not_o 25._o because_o the_o lord_n will_v slay_v you_o the_o earth_n that_o after_o much_o cost_n 8._o yet_o yield_v nothing_o but_o they_o may_v fret_v and_o gnaw_v their_o tongue_n for_o vexation_n but_o to_o no_o purpose_n endeavour_v we_o therefore_o in_o time_n to_o prevent_v this_o thus_o of_o the_o exhortation_n now_o follow_v the_o reason_n of_o the_o exhortation_n lay_v down_o in_o the_o 16_o verse_n because_o it_o be_v write_v be_v you_o holy_a for_o i_o be_o holy_a where_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v 1._o that_o he_o urge_v still_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n and_o can_v have_v do_v with_o it_o 2._o how_o he_o urge_v it_o even_o by_o scripture_n it_o be_v write_v 3._o the_o text_n itself_o be_v you_o holy_a unlike_a devil_n and_o ourselves_o without_o which_o there_o be_v no_o see_v of_o god_n 2._o because_o we_o be_v altogether_o so_o untoward_a thereunto_o who_o see_v not_o what_o a_o work_n we_o have_v to_o bring_v any_o to_o turn_v from_o their_o sin_n and_o to_o take_v a_o holy_a course_n how_o few_o such_o and_o with_o what_o a_o deal_n of_o pain_n and_o when_o convert_v and_o bring_v to_o a_o love_n of_o holiness_n and_o desire_v to_o please_v god_n yet_o who_o find_v not_o what_o a_o stir_n he_o have_v to_o bring_v himself_o to_o any_o good_a duty_n prayer_n meditation_n examination_n of_o his_o heart_n etc._n etc._n or_o when_o we_o be_v bring_v to_o do_v good_a thing_n yet_o to_o do_v they_o in_o a_o right_a manner_n but_o the_o heart_n will_v be_v go_v especial_o in_o all_o thing_n and_o in_o our_o whole_a conversation_n therefore_o no_o marvel_n though_o the_o holy_a ghost_n dwell_v long_o upon_o it_o 1._o this_o teach_v we_o minister_n in_o weighty_a point_n 1_o to_o dwell_v as_o it_o be_v upon_o they_o and_o not_o slide_v from_o they_o too_o quick_o to_o urge_v they_o again_o and_o again_o question_v their_o heart_n whether_o indeed_o they_o will_v do_v so_o and_o so_o or_o not_o etc._n etc._n 2._o people_n 2._o when_o they_o perceive_v their_o minister_n so_o to_o urge_v such_o and_o such_o a_o point_n 40._o they_o must_v consider_v it_o the_o more_o serious_o so_o when_o we_o read_v any_o thing_n 5._o wherein_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v more_o earnest_a or_o repeat_v it_o often_o as_o to_o search_v and_o examine_v ourselves_o we_o must_v take_v knowledge_n of_o the_o weight_n of_o the_o matter_n and_o of_o our_o own_o dulness_n dwell_v the_o more_o thereon_o in_o our_o observation_n and_o attention_n where_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v earnest_a we_o must_v not_o pass_v it_o slight_o over_o 2._o he_o prove_v it_o by_o scripture_n word_n and_o so_o must_v we_o when_o we_o will_v prove_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o conscience_n for_o god_n word_n be_v the_o judge_n of_o all_o truth_n and_o falshhood_n good_a and_o evil_a it_o be_v the_o golden_a rule_n the_o balance_n of_o the_o sanctuary_n 26._o philosopher_n prove_v thing_n by_o reason_n in_o god_n school_n proof_n must_v be_v from_o the_o scripture_n we_o must_v not_o look_v what_o this_o man_n or_o that_o man_n or_o twenty_o man_n say_v this_o stablish_v not_o the_o conscience_n but_o the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o bear_v meat_n in_o the_o mouth_n that_o be_v of_o weight_n and_o authority_n either_o to_o make_v to_o yield_v or_o at_o least_o to_o leave_v without_o excuse_n one_o testimony_n of_o scripture_n be_v of_o more_o weight_n than_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o thousand_o man_n for_o that_o be_v the_o word_n truth_n and_o all_o man_n be_v subject_a to_o error_n and_o thereto_o may_v people_n say_v indeed_o 22._o the_o voice_n of_o god_n and_o not_o of_o man_n a_o number_n of_o people_n in_o city_n and_o great_a town_n
it_o or_o look_v therein_o to_o read_v it_o what_o a_o contempt_n be_v this_o the_o scripture_n yet_o be_v the_o lord_n letter_n send_v to_o we_o to_o inform_v we_o of_o his_o will_n o_o what_o shall_v the_o condemnation_n of_o this_o land_n be_v that_o have_v the_o light_n love_v darkness_n better_o and_o god_n have_v give_v we_o his_o word_n which_o he_o give_v not_o to_o all_o we_o make_v so_o light_a account_n thereof_o we_o will_v not_o bestow_v the_o search_n of_o it_o nay_o every_o toy_n prove_v sufficient_a to_o keep_v we_o from_o it_o o_o woeful_a unthankfulness_n how_o do_v competent_a maintenance_n for_o himself_o and_o he_o and_o to_o do_v good_a to_o other_o it_o be_v the_o conceit_n of_o some_o that_o a_o minister_n shall_v live_v but_o mean_o and_o as_o it_o be_v from_o hand_n to_o mouth_n and_o according_o they_o do_v so_o pole_n from_o he_o that_o he_o can_v do_v no_o good_a this_o way_n but_o though_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v pompous_a nor_o sumptuous_a nor_o rake_v after_o farm_n and_o wealth_n yet_o they_o must_v and_o aught_o to_o live_v in_o good_a sort_n as_o well_o as_o themselves_o such_o as_o have_v skill_n in_o the_o scripture_n or_o have_v profit_v by_o the_o word_n or_o reverence_v the_o call_v of_o the_o ministry_n will_v not_o otherwise_o judge_v for_o we_o if_o we_o can_v do_v as_o we_o will_v we_o must_v do_v as_o we_o can_v nor_o have_v ability_n must_v we_o bid_v set_v on_o the_o great_a pot_n in_o the_o mean_a while_n starve_v our_o people_n soul_n without_o grudge_v duty_n the_o manner_n this_o be_v all_o in_o god_n to_o come_v out_o what_o a_o stir_n have_v he_o how_o many_o sermon_n threaten_n promise_n secret_a gripe_n of_o conscience_n warning_n of_o the_o spirit_n purpose_n to_o come_v out_o and_o yet_o keep_v in_o still_o ere_o we_o will_v yield_v yea_o how_o be_v god_n fain_o almost_o to_o pull_v we_o out_o by_o some_o cross_n or_o sharp_a affliction_n as_o the_o angel_n pull_v lot_n out_o of_o sodom_n how_o hardly_o be_v we_o thorough_o humble_v for_o our_o sin_n when_o cast_v down_o how_o hardly_o comfort_v when_o we_o have_v get_v it_o how_o hardly_o do_v we_o keep_v it_o what_o a_o stir_n with_o our_o heart_n to_o leave_v our_o old_a course_n and_o take_v new_a and_o when_o we_o have_v begin_v yet_o what_o ado_n to_o hold_v out_o what_o revolt_a and_o backslide_a heart_n have_v we_o ready_a to_o wax_v cold_a and_o to_o linger_v after_o our_o old_a lust_n so_o hard_o it_o be_v to_o do_v any_o good_a duty_n well_o the_o devil_n like_o pharaoh_n pursue_v we_o and_o labour_n by_o all_o mean_v possible_a to_o hinder_v we_o from_o all_o good_a altogether_o or_o from_o the_o right_a performance_n of_o it_o so_o also_o to_o draw_v we_o to_o all_o evil_a then_o the_o world_n like_o pharaoh_n soldier_n labour_n to_o hinder_v we_o by_o their_o ill_a example_n by_o ill_a counsel_n by_o vail_n of_o profit_n and_o pleasure_n and_o if_o these_o not_o by_o reproach_n and_o trouble_n that_o it_o will_v raise_v up_o our_o own_o nature_n be_v worst_a of_o all_o as_o have_v a_o linger_a after_o our_o old_a sin_n as_o the_o israelite_n after_o the_o fleshy_a pot_n of_o egypt_n sometime_o we_o think_v like_o they_o we_o shall_v never_o hold_v out_o there_o be_v such_o let_v in_o the_o way_n high_a wall_n and_o anakim_v etc._n etc._n so_o that_o we_o get_v forward_o hardly_o as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v to_o go_v up_o a_o steep_a hill_n and_o have_v three_o great_a weight_n hang_v at_o his_o back_n so_o that_o we_o have_v such_o continual_a need_n of_o the_o word_n sacrament_n prayer_n meditation_n conference_n watchfulness_n that_o unless_o hereby_o we_o wax_v cold_a and_o grow_v out_o of_o order_n nay_o notwithstanding_o all_o these_o yet_o what_o ado_n to_o keep_v our_o heart_n and_o life_n in_o order_n and_o ourselves_o within_o compass_n but_o we_o slip_v and_o stumble_v and_o grieve_v and_o up_o again_o and_o down_o again_o yea_o if_o the_o lord_n to_o all_o these_o mean_n shall_v not_o add_v some_o one_o or_o other_o affliction_n it_o will_v be_v yet_o more_o hard_a the_o lord_n be_v fain_o to_o pull_v we_o with_o that_o strong_a cord_n also_o and_o this_o be_v chief_o mean_v here_o they_o be_v scarce_o save_v even_o because_o they_o be_v force_v to_o be_v bring_v through_o many_o trouble_n so_o that_o as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v to_o climb_v such_o a_o steep_a hill_n as_o he_o can_v fasten_v his_o foot_n but_o be_v fain_o to_o get_v dagger_n in_o his_o hand_n and_o stick_v they_o into_o the_o ground_n etc._n etc._n may_v be_v say_v hardly_o to_o get_v up_o simile_n and_o as_o when_o two_o army_n fight_v for_o a_o town_n one_o while_n one_o part_n prevail_v another_o while_n the_o other_o at_o last_o the_o better_a side_n prevail_v but_o notwithout_v much_o pain_n many_o wound_n shrewd_a blow_n and_o continual_a labour_n we_o may_v say_v they_o get_v the_o town_n hardly_o the_o like_a may_v be_v say_v in_o this_o particular_a who_o know_v not_o the_o truth_n hereof_o in_o his_o own_o experience_n how_o hardly_o can_v thou_o be_v humble_v how_o hardly_o draw_v to_o renounce_v thy_o lust_n how_o be_v thou_o fain_o to_o wrestle_v before_o thou_o can_v do_v any_o good_a what_o continual_a need_n have_v thou_o of_o prayer_n good_a company_n etc._n etc._n yea_o who_o know_v any_o thing_n see_v not_o he_o world_n that_o its_o a_o easy_a matter_n to_o be_v save_v that_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o such_o preciseness_n but_o that_o if_o man_n mean_v well_o god_n will_v be_v content_a and_o though_o one_o have_v live_v bad_o yet_o at_o what_o time_n soever_o they_o repent_v for_o which_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o hour_n be_v enough_o it_o shall_v be_v well_o with_o they_o and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o word_n and_o our_o preach_v be_v of_o such_o small_a account_n and_o that_o so_o few_o take_v any_o pain_n to_o be_v save_v but_o take_v pain_n for_o the_o belly_n and_o back_n and_o to_o grow_v rich_a etc._n etc._n ignorant_n person_n look_v not_o out_o but_o content_v themselves_o with_o a_o blind_a good_a meaning_n without_o any_o part_n of_o a_o good_a life_n so_o profane_a person_n so_o worldling_n so_o civil_a one_o though_o the_o scripture_n require_v we_o to_o labour_v strive_v give_v all_o diligence_n study_n seek_v yet_o will_v not_o they_o take_v any_o pain_n nay_o not_o only_o so_o but_o they_o laugh_v and_o gibe_v at_o they_o that_o labour_n herein_o as_o fool_n or_o idle_a person_n what_o be_v thou_o woeful_a wretch_n that_o dare_v cross_v the_o lord_n so_o direct_o he_o say_v it_o be_v a_o strait_a way_n and_o few_o find_v it_o and_o to_o this_o end_n bid_v strive_v thou_o say_v it_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n if_o it_o be_v as_o thou_o dote_v christ_n may_v not_o only_o have_v spare_v those_o speech_n but_o indeed_o the_o whole_a scripture_n for_o what_o use_n of_o any_o but_o to_o bid_v people_n live_v as_o they_o list_v and_o at_o last_o cry_v god_n mercy_n and_o all_o be_v well_o no_o god_n must_v make_v new_a scripture_n and_o chalk_v a_o new_a way_n to_o heaven_n ere_o ever_o thou_o shall_v find_v that_o thou_o look_v for_o but_o in_o their_o chair_n or_o keep_v their_o bed_n as_o well_o as_o rise_v and_o toil_n etc._n etc._n but_o that_o they_o know_v that_o they_o can_v so_o get_v heaven_n but_o that_o they_o have_v need_v to_o use_v all_o mean_n and_o that_o little_a enough_o though_o thou_o see_v no_o such_o thing_n indeed_o to_o lead_v a_o careless_a life_n to_o do_v good_a if_o it_o come_v in_o the_o way_n and_o if_o ill_o come_v in_o the_o way_n to_o be_v as_o fit_v for_o that_o etc._n etc._n a_o few_o sermon_n and_o little_a hear_n may_v serve_v for_o such_o a_o life_n but_o this_o be_v not_o the_o way_n to_o get_v heaven_n if_o ever_o thou_o will_v be_v save_v thou_o must_v change_v thy_o mind_n and_o practice_n and_o believe_v the_o scripture_n that_o its_o a_o strait_a way_n and_o according_o bend_v thyself_o to_o begin_v to_o take_v pain_n to_o see_v and_o confess_v thy_o sin_n to_o labour_v for_o faith_n to_o turn_v
and_o then_o how_o will_v they_o answer_v that_o to_o god_n 2._o it_o rebuke_n those_o also_o that_o live_n among_o their_o people_n 2._o yet_o care_v not_o thus_o but_o think_v themselves_o discharge_v that_o they_o meet_v they_o at_o church_n on_o the_o sabbath_n and_o then_o preach_v they_o a_o sermon_n whereas_o all_o the_o week_n after_o they_o consider_v not_o of_o they_o nay_o scarce_o visit_v the_o sick_a but_o either_o be_v so_o entangle_v with_o care_n and_o business_n of_o the_o world_n 4._o that_o they_o can_v or_o so_o addict_v to_o their_o pleasure_n that_o they_o will_v not_o mind_v this_o thus_o they_o be_v less_o fit_a for_o preach_v do_v the_o less_o good_a and_o receive_v all_o at_o a_o venture_n to_o the_o sacrament_n which_o be_v a_o fearful_a thing_n 3._o as_o people_n must_v be_v careful_a for_o their_o minister_n who_o have_v need_n of_o no_o worldly_a care_n hang_v on_o they_o that_o they_o may_v attend_v on_o their_o care_n of_o they_o 3_o so_o they_o must_v be_v willing_a that_o their_o minister_n have_v a_o care_n of_o they_o and_o deal_v private_o with_o they_o and_o they_o this_o many_o can_v away_o with_o but_o will_v that_o the_o minister_n shall_v content_v himself_o with_o see_v they_o at_o church_n but_o not_o to_o look_v into_o their_o behaviour_n in_o their_o family_n or_o to_o pry_v into_o their_o life_n or_o deal_v private_o or_o particular_o who_o yet_o if_o they_o have_v a_o shepherd_n look_v that_o he_o shall_v diligent_o tend_v their_o sheep_n all_o day_n and_o look_v to_o they_o particular_o as_o well_o as_o feed_v they_o they_o shall_v be_v glad_a when_o the_o minister_n will_v come_v to_o their_o house_n and_o sit_v with_o they_o confer_v with_o they_o and_o they_o of_o heavenly_a thing_n etc._n etc._n but_o if_o they_o shall_v know_v when_o he_o will_v come_v they_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n this_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o a_o ill_a conscience_n that_o they_o can_v abide_v the_o trial_n and_o which_o be_v worse_o of_o a_o bad_a heart_n that_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o mend_v but_o there_o be_v another_o extremity_n when_o people_n will_v expect_v too_o much_o at_o the_o minister_n hand_n as_o to_o visit_v they_o at_o their_o house_n more_o often_o then_o the_o largeness_n of_o the_o place_n and_o his_o strength_n and_o time_n will_v permit_v which_o though_o it_o be_v a_o good_a fault_n and_o a_o rare_a &_o therefore_o to_o be_v much_o bear_v with_o for_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o comely_a in_o the_o world_n then_o to_o see_v minister_n delight_v in_o their_o people_n company_n and_o people_n in_o they_o and_o thereupon_o to_o be_v much_o together_o yet_o it_o must_v be_v do_v as_o it_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o public_a there_o must_v be_v convenient_a time_n to_o preach_v that_o we_o may_v not_o come_v unprepared_o and_o if_o a_o minister_n preach_v also_o on_o the_o week_n day_n he_o can_v have_v much_o time_n for_o private_a especial_o in_o a_o great_a and_o wide_a parish_n not_o by_o constraint_n but_o willing_o people_n now_o for_o the_o manner_n a_o minister_n be_v not_o to_o perform_v the_o forementioned_a duty_n by_o constraint_n as_o for_o fear_n of_o god_n wrath_n man_n law_n or_o shame_n etc._n etc._n but_o willing_o to_o do_v by_o constraint_n be_v base_a and_o servile_a what_o any_o do_v thus_o they_o do_v but_o homely_a no_o better_a than_o needs_o must_v and_o beside_o what_o hope_v of_o god_n blessing_n can_v they_o expect_v upon_o such_o work_n 17._o god_n love_v a_o willing_a heart_n and_o a_o cheerful_a doer_n 14._o there_o be_v a_o constraint_n that_o be_v good_a whereof_o the_o apostle_n write_v to_o the_o corinthian_n the_o love_n of_o christ_n have_v constrain_v i_o etc._n etc._n namely_o because_o christ_n have_v pardon_v my_o sin_n die_v for_o i_o have_v call_v i_o to_o this_o high_a and_o holy_a call_n to_o be_v his_o ambassador_n to_o his_o people_n have_v entrust_v i_o with_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o people_n etc._n etc._n i_o will_v therefore_o in_o all_o and_o every_o these_o respect_n do_v my_o duty_n in_o the_o most_o faithful_a and_o careful_a manner_n if_o they_o leave_v not_o store_n to_o their_o posterity_n not_o of_o filthy_a lucre_n mind_n but_o of_o a_o ready_a mind_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n willing_o for_o so_o we_o may_v do_v for_o filthy_a lucre_n and_o gain_n but_o it_o must_v be_v of_o a_o ready_a mind_n even_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o zeal_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o the_o care_n of_o the_o people_n salvation_n and_o win_v they_o to_o god_n it_o be_v a_o base_a thing_n that_o lucre_n shall_v set_v we_o on_o work_n or_o any_o thing_n else_o but_o those_o high_a and_o holy_a end_n obj._n none_o will_v preach_v but_o for_o their_o maintenance_n obj._n they_o look_v for_o it_o sol._n suppose_v it_o to_o be_v so_o sol._n yet_o many_o preach_v and_o have_v not_o half_a the_o maintenance_n they_o spend_v where_o they_o live_v but_o either_o spend_v of_o that_o little_a god_n give_v they_o by_o their_o friend_n 8._o or_o else_o rob_v other_o church_n as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v to_o preach_v to_o they_o but_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o be_v set_v on_o work_n for_o gain_v and_o another_o to_o expect_v a_o honest_a and_o necessary_a maintenance_n which_o be_v a_o necessary_a help_n to_o the_o do_v of_o the_o duty_n and_o without_o which_o it_o can_v be_v well_o do_v it_o come_v in_o i_o say_v by_o the_o by_o as_o a_o necessary_a help_n to_o the_o duty_n 10._o not_o as_o the_o end_n that_o set_v
in_o this_o world_n or_o else_o at_o the_o day_n of_o fearful_a account_n when_o they_o will_v be_v as_o glad_a to_o be_v rid_v of_o it_o again_o as_o ever_o judas_n be_v of_o his_o thirty_o piece_n he_o think_v if_o he_o can_v get_v money_n he_o be_v make_v but_o when_o he_o have_v it_o he_o be_v never_o so_o ill_a in_o his_o life_n as_o then_o so_o be_v it_o with_o achan_n gehazi_n ananias_n
