imagine_v beside_o we_o find_v that_o these_o galatian_n be_v great_o infect_v with_o the_o false_a leven_n of_o judaical_a doctor_n who_o teach_v they_o to_o observe_v circumcision_n etc._n etc._n as_o be_v see_v clear_o by_o the_o epistle_n and_o seem_v to_o be_v the_o chief_a occasion_n of_o write_v it_o to_o turn_v they_o from_o and_o sortify_v they_o against_o such_o false_a doctrine_n and_o dangerous_a observance_n and_o therefore_o hence_o we_o conclude_v st._n paul_n condemn_v the_o galatian_a church_n for_o keep_v the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n as_o well_o as_o other_o judaical_a after_o christ_n and_o therefore_o our_o saviour_n know_v what_o a_o great_a trouble_n of_o spirit_n it_o will_v be_v to_o gracious_a and_o devout_a soul_n to_o be_v force_v to_o flee_v for_o their_o life_n on_o that_o day_n whereon_o they_o shall_v have_v be_v glorify_v their_o god_n and_o refresh_v their_o own_o soul_n in_o religious_a duty_n and_o holy_a communion_n with_o the_o father_n and_o and_o so_o it_o be_v as_o if_o our_o lord_n have_v say_v pray_v that_o on_o what_o ever_o day_n your_o solemn_a rest_n for_o religious_a worship_n and_o divine_a service_n shall_v be_v that_o on_o that_o day_n your_o flight_n may_v not_o be_v for_o it_o will_v then_o be_v very_o grievous_a and_o more_o intolerable_a than_o on_o any_o day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o so_o include_v yea_o primary_o writer_n to_o speak_v of_o evangelical_n day_n and_o of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o they_o under_o legal_a metaphor_n to_o wit_n by_o sacrifice_n by_o erect_v of_o altar_n by_o come_v up_o to_o the_o temple_n etc._n etc._n as_o all_o that_o know_v the_o style_n of_o the_o prophet_n can_v but_o be_v acquaint_v with_o because_o these_o be_v then_o the_o service_n which_o that_o people_n perform_v and_o they_o know_v no_o other_o and_o probable_o will_v not_o have_v endure_v the_o mention_v of_o any_o other_o so_o here_o our_o saviour_n speak_v indeed_o literal_o of_o the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n because_o the_o jew_n and_o his_o disciple_n who_o be_v jew_n know_v yet_o of_o no_o other_o neither_o be_v prepare_v to_o hear_v of_o the_o future_a substitute_v of_o another_o day_n in_o its_o place_n yet_o this_o do_v no_o more_o confirm_v the_o seven_o day_n to_o be_v the_o future_a sabbath_n than_o those_o other_o scriptural_a say_n do_v the_o ceremonial_a rite_n to_o be_v the_o evangelical_n worship_n or_o the_o external_a modes_n of_o serve_v god_n in_o the_o time_n of_o reformation_n and_o when_o the_o body_n and_o substance_n of_o these_o sign_n and_o figure_n be_v exhibit_v beside_o we_o say_v our_o saviour_n do_v very_o well_o foresee_v that_o many_o of_o his_o disciple_n as_o we_o know_v the_o church_n of_o galatia_n and_o colosse_n and_o those_o of_o jerusalem_n with_o james_n do_v will_v many_o year_n after_o his_o decease_n dote_v upon_o the_o judaical_a ceremony_n and_o will_v reverence_v they_o out_o of_o conscience_n to_o god_n their_o author_n and_o imposer_n and_o so_o also_o on_o the_o judaical_a day_n and_o therefore_o our_o lord_n fore-apprehending_a this_o bid_v they_o to_o deprecate_v their_o flight_n on_o such_o a_o day_n which_o their_o own_o conceit_n and_o false_a apphrehension_n of_o thing_n will_v make_v more_o grievous_a and_o burdensome_a to_o themselves_o not_o his_o injunction_n or_o the_o real_a obligation_n of_o the_o day_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o common_a than_o this_o way_n of_o speak_v according_a to_o man_n apprehension_n of_o thing_n without_o any_o the_o least_o approbation_n of_o that_o apprehension_n so_o we_o find_v our_o saviour_n speak_v in_o his_o discourse_n of_o the_o jew_n circumcision_n very_o commendable_o and_o honourable_o yet_o i_o hope_v this_o do_v not_o confirm_v it_o for_o the_o future_a but_o here_o it_o may_v be_v object_v but_o he_o do_v not_o prophesy_v of_o its_o future_a observance_n or_o require_v any_o thing_n of_o they_o upon_o a_o supposition_n of_o its_o continuance_n afterward_o and_o therefore_o this_o be_v nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n but_o we_o know_v he_o can_v not_o but_o foresee_v that_o they_o will_v observe_v it_o and_o keep_v it_o up_o in_o the_o church_n after_o his_o departure_n from_o they_o and_o its_o abrogation_n and_o so_o these_o speech_n of_o his_o will_v then_o be_v upon_o record_n and_o probable_o make_v a_o plea_n for_o its_o use_n especial_o see_v he_o never_o do_v as_o i_o remember_v speak_v any_o thing_n against_o it_o or_o express_o of_o its_o future_a extrusion_n out_o of_o the_o church_n which_o speech_n of_o he_o can_v authorize_v their_o future_a practice_n neither_o can_v our_o saviour_n foresight_n of_o their_o superstition_n and_o mistake_a observance_n of_o the_o seven_o day_n and_o his_o command_n for_o their_o ease-sake_n upon_o that_o prevision_n authorize_v the_o continuance_n thereof_o therefore_o see_v there_o be_v so_o many_o solution_n give_v to_o this_o plea_n against_o the_o apostle_n meaning_n of_o the_o seven_o day_n when_o he_o condemn_v they_o for_o their_o observance_n of_o day_n and_o sabbath_n whereof_o some_o one_o may_v be_v deem_v sufficient_a but_o much_o more_o all_o together_o it_o can_v by_o any_o impartial_a judicious_a person_n be_v think_v of_o any_o prevalency_n to_o evade_v a_o express_a prohibition_n of_o the_o apostle_n of_o if_o not_o only_o intend_v by_o that_o expression_n in_o scripture_n and_o in_o that_o very_a word_n whereby_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n intend_v and_o mean_v the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n sect_n xvi_o he_o begin_v page_n 75._o to_o betake_v himself_o to_o the_o command_n itself_o and_o will_v from_o thence_o collect_v a_o absolute_a necessity_n of_o the_o perpetual_a observance_n of_o the_o last_o day_n of_o the_o week_n assert_v the_o morality_n of_o the_o whole_a command_n and_o endeavour_v from_o some_o passage_n and_o letter_n of_o that_o law_n administration_n that_o it_o be_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v exclude_v with_o they_o and_o give_v place_n to_o a_o more_o glorious_a day_n in_o commemoration_n of_o a_o more_o glorious_a work_n and_o god_n rest_v from_o it_o even_o the_o first_o day_n our_o lord_n glorious_a triumph_a day_n the_o other_o two_o reason_n of_o this_o four_o command_n follow_v which_o be_v god_n bless_v the_o
