give_v to_o all_o in_o hear_v of_o the_o word_n preach_v shall_v we_o go_v any_o further_a than_o experience_n to_o prove_v this_o in_o thousand_o that_o hear_v the_o word_n yet_o understand_v no_o more_o of_o it_o and_o be_v no_o more_o affect_v with_o it_o than_o the_o seat_n they_o sit_v on_o the_o arminian_n as_o they_o will_v deny_v any_o thing_n reject_v this_o argument_n from_o yet_o they_o contradict_v their_o own_o main_a position_n and_o confirm_v we_o that_o god_n though_o he_o have_v give_v the_o outward_a mean_n yet_o have_v not_o give_v so_o much_o grace_n unto_o all_o as_o to_o make_v use_n of_o they_o for_o the_o gain_n of_o ordinary_a knowledge_n in_o the_o word_n the_o second_o proposition_n shall_v be_v this_o 2._o that_o bare_a illumination_n in_o the_o understanding_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n preach_v be_v not_o sufficient_a for_o sanctification_n of_o the_o heart_n i._n e._n to_o move_v to_o renew_v to_o quicken_v those_o affection_n with_o true_a love_n of_o goodness_n and_o desire_n of_o grace_n which_o before_o be_v disorder_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o darkness_n of_o the_o understanding_n this_o they_o affirm_v we_o deny_v it_o as_o a_o new_a and_o uncouth_a opinion_n and_o that_o upon_o these_o ground_n 1._o because_o it_o presuppose_v that_o in_o the_o affection_n there_o be_v no_o other_o viciousness_n but_o that_o only_a which_o be_v breed_v in_o they_o by_o the_o error_n of_o the_o understanding_n which_o be_v deceive_v misguide_v the_o affection_n but_o be_v once_o right_o inform_v the_o affection_n be_v present_o bring_v in_o order_n to_o follow_v the_o direction_n thereof_o than_o which_o nothing_o can_v be_v more_o absurd_a and_o contrary_a to_o all_o experience_n 2._o if_o bare_a illumination_n or_o moral_a persuasion_n be_v sufficient_a to_o sanctify_v it_o shall_v work_v that_o effect_n either_o by_o it_o own_o simple_a 297._o virtue_n or_o by_o the_o help_n of_o something_o else_o beside_o if_o by_o
