such_o a_o assembly_n and_o notwithstanding_o they_o the_o assembly_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o assembly_n of_o woman_n now_o how_o improbable_a be_v it_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o family_n a_o numerous_a family_n and_o not_o one_o male_a among_o they_o if_o there_o be_v any_o they_o must_v rational_o be_v suppose_v to_o be_v in_o their_o childhood_n a_o great_a family_n and_o not_o one_o infant_n or_o child_n in_o it_o but_o every_o one_o capable_a of_o a_o ready_a understanding_n what_o be_v teach_v so_o as_o in_o a_o few_o hour_n to_o attain_v to_o a_o competent_a knowledge_n household_n of_o lydia_n have_v some_o man_n in_o it_o as_o appear_v from_o verse_n 40._o and_o it_o be_v probable_a some_o woman_n also_o who_o be_v convert_v with_o lydia_n and_o they_o be_v the_o household_n say_v to_o be_v baptize_v but_o to_o that_o i_o answer_v that_o it_o do_v no_o way_n appear_v that_o these_o brethren_n who_o the_o apostle_n verse_n 40._o be_v say_v to_o have_v see_v be_v of_o lydia_n household_n they_o may_v be_v neighbour_n convert_v after_o paul_n come_v to_o her_o house_n who_o now_o come_v in_o to_o see_v paul_n or_o who_o paul_n before_o his_o departure_n the_o mere_a account_n of_o the_o parent_n faith_n without_o consideration_n have_v to_o their_o own_o personal_a faith_n and_o repentance_n second_o let_v it_o be_v observe_v that_o it_o do_v not_o appear_v that_o any_o in_o or_o of_o these_o household_n be_v convert_v antecedent_n to_o their_o baptism_n as_o for_o lydia_n
only_a god_n not_o perform_v to_o they_o what_o he_o have_v promise_v and_o if_o it_o shall_v be_v say_v though_o god_n do_v deny_v to_o give_v they_o in_o that_o very_a temporal_a good_a contain_v and_o to_o have_v god_n engage_v by_o covenant_n to_o a_o people_n to_o be_v their_o god_n be_v a_o great_a and_o more_o excellent_a good_a than_o it_o be_v to_o enjoy_v any_o mere_a temporal_a good_a whatever_n than_o this_o covenant_n be_v make_v with_o abraham_n natural_a seed_n as_o such_o be_v not_o a_o mere_a temporal_a covenant_n nor_o the_o promise_n of_o it_o promise_v of_o mere_a temporal_a blessing_n but_o the_o covenant_n be_v a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o promise_n of_o it_o promise_v of_o spiritual_a blessing_n but_o the_o former_a be_v true_a therefore_o the_o latter_a the_o consequence_n in_o the_o major_a proposition_n be_v undeniable_a unless_o any_o shall_v affirm_v that_o there_o may_v be_v a_o good_a great_a and_o more_o excellent_a than_o any_o temporal_a good_a can_v possible_o be_v which_o yet_o be_v no_o spiritual_a good_a or_o which_o may_v be_v give_v to_o man_n no_o way_n interest_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n if_o any_o such_o prefer_v this_o good_a above_o any_o temporal_a good_a whatsoever_o for_o have_v speak_v of_o their_o happiness_n who_o have_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o temporal_a mercy_n and_o blessing_n he_o add_v as_o prefer_v this_o above_o all_o yea_o happy_a be_v that_o people_n who_o god_n be_v jehovah_n now_o how_o can_v the_o psalmist_n prefer_v a_o interest_n in_o god_n above_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o all_o worldly_a felicity_n in_o case_n it_o be_v but_o a_o temporal_a good_a itself_o or_o a_o good_a that_o only_o refer_v to_o man_n temporal_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n or_o have_v no_o have_v he_o engage_v as_o their_o god_n by_o the_o covenant_n make_v with_o abraham_n and_o his_o natural_a seed_n and_o so_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o to_o have_v a_o covenant-interest_n in_o god_n be_v a_o good_a vast_o great_a and_o more_o excellent_a than_o any_o temporal_a good_a whatsoever_o but_o to_o that_o i_o answer_v the_o psalmist_n speak_v of_o a_o covenant_n interest_n absolute_o without_o distinguish_v of_o the_o covenant_n convey_v that_o interest_n and_o where_o the_o scripture_n do_v not_o distinguish_v we_o ought_v not_o and_o consequent_o the_o scripture_n prefer_v a_o
