some_o old_a grudge_n or_o whether_o of_o ignorance_n against_o his_o will_n these_o priest_n be_v covetous_a and_o greedy_a of_o gain_n will_v for_o a_o piece_n of_o money_n smooth_a over_o the_o matter_n they_o will_v shelter_v the_o wilful_a murderer_n and_o crafty_o hide_v his_o sin_n which_o ought_v to_o have_v be_v punish_v with_o death_n because_o the_o law_n be_v straight_o against_o this_o sin_n he_o that_o shede_v man_n blood_n by_o man_n shall_v his_o blood_n be_v shed_v but_o they_o be_v covetous_a and_o not_o regard_v god_n law_n will_v hide_v his_o murder_n and_o shelter_n and_o shroud_v it_o and_o cover_v it_o so_o crafty_o that_o he_o shall_v escape_v unpunished_a and_o never_o come_v to_o his_o answer_n and_o for_o this_o very_a cause_n do_v almighty_a god_n charge_v this_o city_n with_o the_o blood_n of_o these_o man_n and_o call_v it_o a_o city_n pollute_v with_o blood_n so_o then_o this_o be_v the_o sin_n of_o these_o priest_n for_o doct._n 3_o gain_n to_o justify_v the_o wicked_a and_o to_o cover_v his_o sin_n for_o a_o golden_a fee._n justice_n for_o no_o worldly_a respect_n must_v man_n be_v draw_v to_o pervert_v justice_n we_o may_v conclude_v this_o three_o point_n of_o doctrine_n that_o for_o no_o worldly_a respect_n whatsoever_o shall_v man_n be_v draw_v to_o pervert_v justice_n to_o colour_v sin_n it_o be_v the_o sin_n of_o this_o city_n of_o the_o priest_n and_o levite_n those_o which_o be_v put_v in_o trust_n from_o god_n to_o inquire_v and_o to_o find_v out_o the_o wilful_a murderer_n &_o even_o to_o take_v joab_n from_o gospel_n so_o as_o look_v what_o promise_n god_n have_v make_v there_o either_o of_o pardon_n of_o sin_n or_o of_o life_n and_o salvation_n they_o shall_v likewise_o be_v perform_v we_o be_v not_o our_o prayer_n the_o resurrection_n of_o our_o dead_a body_n and_o life_n everlasting_a the_o lord_n be_v just_a and_o true_a in_o all_o his_o promise_n oh_o what_o a_o comfort_n be_v this_o to_o live_v well_o and_o bless_o be_v clear_a and_o manifest_a warning_n god_n never_o strike_v with_o his_o judgement_n before_o he_o give_v warning_n and_o that_o they_o can_v allege_v no_o excuse_n of_o preach_v and_o teach_v among_o we_o almost_o these_o threescore_o year_n together_o now_o let_v we_o see_v whether_o our_o case_n be_v not_o like_o the_o state_n of_o gilead_n they_o be_v grievous_a sinner_n so_o be_v we_o among_o they_o be_v find_v many_o great_a and_o grievous_a sin_n a_o city_n that_o abound_v with_o all_o manner_n of_o iniquity_n as_o swear_v lie_a deceit_n murder_n to_o comfort_v our_o distress_a soul_n and_o in_o very_a deed_n if_o we_o consider_v god_n deal_v towards_o we_o we_o may_v see_v that_o these_o black_a stormy_a day_n be_v draw_v on_o do_v not_o the_o lord_n pick_v out_o from_o among_o we_o the_o most_o renown_a man_n from_o church_n and_o common_a wealth_n the_o pillar_n of_o the_o church_n and_o stay_v of_o religion_n do_v not_o the_o
