in_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n god_n manifest_v himself_o in_o the_o light_n of_o truth_n and_o work_v in_o the_o life_n of_o love_n and_o grace_n in_o the_o heart_n there_o be_v a_o form_n of_o godliness_n which_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o 2_o tim._n 3.5_o a_o mere_a external_a profession_n and_o garb_n of_o godliness_n there_o be_v no_o mystery_n in_o that_o man_n may_v take_v up_o a_o curious_a picture_n of_o holiness_n without_o much_o ado_n nature_n can_v reach_v that_o mystery_n but_o there_o be_v a_o power_n of_o godliness_n which_o consist_v in_o the_o life_n and_o spirit_n of_o truth_n in_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v a_o mystery_n will_v you_o know_v then_o what_o godliness_n be_v it_o be_v the_o open_n of_o god_n glory_n in_o its_o self_n and_o the_o working_n of_o it_o glorious_o in_o the_o soul_n godliness_n lie_v not_o in_o the_o bare_a expression_n of_o word_n nor_o in_o the_o external_a form_n of_o profession_n of_o these_o word_n but_o it_o lie_v in_o the_o divine_a glory_n of_o god_n which_o be_v wrap_v up_o in_o these_o word_n and_o the_o gracious_a disposition_n and_o affection_n of_o the_o soul_n to_o these_o thing_n what_o a_o great_a matter_n be_v it_o for_o a_o man_n to_o confess_v jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n to_o pray_v and_o express_v outward_a word_n according_o but_o to_o see_v the_o mystery_n of_o that_o glory_n which_o be_v in_o this_o that_o christ_n be_v god_n son_n and_o to_o have_v the_o powerful_a influence_n of_o it_o in_o the_o soul_n this_o be_v godliness_n and_o that_o which_o be_v call_v a_o great_a mystery_n thus_o than_o the_o whole_a manifestation_n of_o god_n in_o the_o gospel_n all_o the_o act_n of_o his_o glory_n in_o truth_n and_o all_o those_o truth_n wrought_v in_o the_o soul_n be_v this_o godliness_n which_o the_o apostle_n well_o call_v a_o great_a mystery_n though_o this_o must_v be_v add_v that_o the_o apostle_n especial_o aim_v here_o at_o the_o truth_n themselves_o and_o god_n manifestation_n of_o his_o glory_n in_o they_o now_o second_o this_o he_o call_v a_o mystery_n it_o be_v a_o high_a expression_n and_o worthy_a to_o be_v appropriate_v unto_o godliness_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n ever_o make_v use_n of_o it_o when_o he_o will_v set_v forth_o the_o unexpressible_a nature_n of_o gospell-truth_n therefore_o to_o open_v it_o 1._o it_o signify_v some_o
