god_n distinct_a seat_n member_n and_o organ_n to_o every_o one_o of_o the_o forementioned_a faculty_n and_o organ_n and_o thereby_o attribute_v unto_o god_n a_o organical_a image_n whereas_o we_o say_v that_o all_o these_o faculty_n and_o sense_n be_v in_o god_n after_o a_o spiritual_a mâ—nner_n without_o be_v fix_v to_o particular_a and_o distinct_a member_n or_o organ_n which_o can_v be_v in_o god_n forasmuch_o as_o he_o be_v a_o spirit_n and_o be_v such_o a_o perfect_a unity_n in_o himself_o that_o all_o his_o faculty_n and_o sense_n be_v one_o with_o himself_o and_o with_o one_o another_o as_o have_v be_v before_o declare_v all_o these_o faculty_n and_o sense_n foremention_v be_v seat_v in_o the_o centre_n of_o the_o eye_n even_o as_o the_o eye_n be_v seat_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o abyssal_n globe_n and_o according_o when_o the_o eye_n be_v shut_v up_o they_o be_v hide_v and_o be_v manifest_v when_o it_o open_v and_o display_v itself_o and_o discover_v to_o be_v essential_a power_n and_o faculty_n subsist_v in_o the_o eye_n be_v one_o with_o it_o and_o therefore_o absolute_o inseparable_a from_o it_o we_o now_o proceed_v to_o a_o further_a consideration_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o this_o eye_n concern_v which_o our_o first_o assertion_n be_v this_o that_o the_o abyssal_n eye_n be_v the_o head-eye_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o eternity_n not_o that_o god_n be_v to_o be_v conceive_v to_o have_v a_o organical_a head_n like_o man_n but_o it_o be_v therefore_o call_v god_n head_n eye_n because_o in_o this_o eye_n be_v the_o seat_n of_o the_o head-power_n of_o the_o deity_n understanding_n and_o will_n and_o the_o sense_n of_o see_v hear_v smell_a taste_v and_o feel_v which_o by_o way_n of_o resemblance_n of_o what_o be_v in_o the_o deity_n be_v all_o seat_v in_o the_o head_n of_o man_n and_o other_o inferior_a creature_n beside_o as_o the_o head_n in_o man_n govern_v all_o the_o member_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o intellect_n and_o will_n seat_v there_o which_o be_v the_o roll_a power_n of_o man_n so_o the_o eye_n and_o roll_a power_n in_o the_o eye_n do_v rule_n and_o govern_v throughout_o the_o whole_a deity_n the_o second_o thing_n which_o i_o assert_v concern_v the_o nature_n of_o this_o eye_n be_v that_o this_o govern_v abyssal_n eye_n be_v god_n face_n for_o when_o this_o eye_n do_v open_a full_o upon_o we_o than_o it_o be_v that_o we_o see_v god_n face_n to_o face_n that_o be_v clear_o as_o he_o be_v in_o his_o own_o essence_n and_o without_o any_o vail_n or_o cover_n whatsoever_o when_o this_o eye_n beam_n forth_o its_o brightness_n upon_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o mind_n than_o god_n face_n be_v say_v to_o shine_v upon_o we_o and_o again_o the_o shut_n of_o the_o eye_n be_v that_o which_o we_o mean_v when_o we_o say_v god_n hide_v his_o facâ—_n from_o we_o this_o eye_n be_v the_o face_n of_o the_o total_a trinity_n and_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v conceive_v though_o we_o have_v attribute_v the_o eye_n of_o god_n the_o father_n as_o if_o the_o eye_n be_v only_o thâ—_n face_n of_o the_o father_n and_o not_o of_o the_o son_n or_o spirit_n no_o by_o no_o mean_n for_o this_o eye_n be_v indeed_o the_o face_n of_o thâ—_n total_a godhead_n father_n son_n and_o spirit_n and_o be_v 〈◊〉_d otherwise_o to_o be_v conceive_v of_o by_o we_o we_o may_v also_o observe_v the_o order_n of_o these_o head-power_n as_o they_o be_v in_o the_o deity_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o abyâ—_n be_v seat_v the_o eternal_a wisdom_n of_o god_n and_o in_o his_o wisdom_n or_o intellect_n be_v seat_v his_o will_n and_o from_o the_o divine_a will_n and_o intellect_n flow_v forth_o the_o sense_n of_o thâ—_n deity_n by_o which_o he_o be_v a_o all-seeing_a all-hearing_a &_o câ—_n god_n and_o all_o these_o be_v one_o in_o another_o and_o flow_v from_o one_o root_n viz._n the_o absolute_a unity_n of_o the_o deity_n and_o stand_v upon_o that_o root_n they_o be_v all_o but_o as_o 〈◊〉_d power_n or_o faculty_n and_o do_v all_o belong_v to_o the_o total_a deity_n father_n son_n and_o spirit_n without_o any_o distinction_n whatsoever_o if_o you_o inquire_v of_o i_o why_o the_o heart_n be_v generate_v out_o of_o the_o eye_n i_o answer_v that_o the_o eye_n do_v therefore_o generate_v the_o heart_n that_o it_o may_v have_v a_o place_n to_o dwell_v and_o rest_v in_o a_o subject_n in_o which_o it_o may_v rule_v and_o govern_v and_o a_o medium_n through_o which_o it_o may_v convey_v the_o spirit_n of_o life_n
say_v these_o three_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n proceed_v from_o one_o eternal_a unity_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v three_o distinguishable_a power_n so_o as_o one_o be_v not_o the_o other_o from_o eternity_n to_o eternity_n and_o can_v never_o be_v confound_v together_o for_o first_o they_o be_v distinguish_v by_o their_o name_n father_n son_n and_o spirit_n and_o this_o distniction_n of_o name_n do_v necessary_o imply_v some_o distinction_n of_o nature_n second_o they_o be_v distinguish_v according_a to_o order_n the_o father_n first_o the_o son_n next_o the_o holy_a spirit_n last_o of_o all_o three_o by_o number_n as_o one_o two_o three_o and_o be_v therefore_o well_o call_v the_o holy_a number_n three_o in_o the_o four_o place_n the_o apostle_n distinguish_v they_o by_o their_o relative_a property_n of_o father_n son_n and_o the_o outgoing_a spirit_n of_o power_n now_o after_o he_o have_v speak_v of_o their_o distinction_n he_o tell_v we_o that_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o these_o three_o be_v one_o that_o be_v that_o they_o be_v all_o centred_a and_o root_v in_o one_o undivided_a unity_n and_o simplicity_n which_o be_v the_o pure_a essential_a nature_n of_o the_o deity_n and_o indeed_o if_o the_o holy_a trinity_n be_v not_o thus_o centre_v in_o the_o most_o perfect_a unity_n they_o will_v be_v three_o distinct_a deity_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o eternity_n where_o the_o trinity_n appear_v in_o the_o triumphant_a glorious_a body_n of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n i_o now_o pass_v to_o the_o three_o wonder_n the_o three_o wonder_n which_o be_v present_v to_o my_o intellectual_a sight_n be_v god_n wisdom_n concern_v who_o i_o shall_v speak_v under_o these_o three_o head_n first_o i_o shall_v speak_v of_o the_o birth_n and_o nativity_n of_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n second_o of_o its_o nature_n three_o and_o last_o of_o its_o office_n 1._o first_o then_o as_o to_o the_o birth_n and_o nativity_n of_o wisdom_n we_o be_v be_v to_o know_v that_o it_o spring_n and_o flow_v from_o god_n eternal_a eye_n as_o from_o its_o eternal_a root_n and_o original_n and_o here_o it_o be_v fix_v as_o in_o its_o proper_a seat_n and_o centre_n for_o it_o be_v by_o this_o wisdom_n that_o all_o all_o the_o desire_n and_o motion_n of_o the_o deity_n be_v most_o wise_o order_v conduct_v and_o govern_v for_o it_o proceed_v from_o and_o be_v seat_v in_o the_o same_o eye_n with_o his_o desire_a mind_n and_o willing_a will_n these_o three_o be_v in_o one_o another_o and_o penetrate_v through_o one_o another_o and_o make_v up_o but_o one_o inseparable_a indivisible_a power_n i_o say_v they_o all_o three_o exist_v iâ—_n the_o eye_n as_o one_o power_n yet_o distinguishable_a and_o without_o the_o least_o disorder_n or_o confusion_n the_o first_o be_v the_o wisdom_n than_o the_o mind_n and_o next_o the_o will_n for_o as_o the_o wisdom_n proceed_v from_o the_o eye_n so_o the_o mind_n proceed_v from_o the_o wisdom_n and_o the_o will_n from_o the_o mind_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o birth_n and_o nativity_n of_o wisdom_n 2._o i_o come_v now_o in_o the_o next_o place_n to_o speak_v of_o the_o second_o head_n viz._n what_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o wisdom_n be_v i_o say_v then_o that_o the_o divine_a wisdom_n be_v a_o flow_a move_a power_n a_o move_a motion_n immediate_o proceed_v from_o god_n eternal_a eye_n god_n wisdom_n be_v a_o bright_a ray_n or_o glance_n issue_v from_o the_o eye_n of_o eternity_n therefore_o she_o be_v term_v the_o brightness_n or_o clarity_n of_o the_o godhead_n and_o a_o pure_a breath_n or_o efflux_n from_o the_o majesty_n of_o the_o almighty_a we_o can_v say_v nothing_o of_o she_o but_o that_o she_o be_v the_o brightness_n and_o glance_n of_o the_o eye_n of_o eternity_n who_o as_o she_o proceed_v from_o the_o eye_n so_o she_o be_v move_v by_o and_o only_o by_o the_o same_o for_o she_o be_v a_o mere_a passive_a bright_a shine_a virtue_n that_o swift_o pass_v through_o and_o pierce_v all_o thing_n by_o reason_n of_o her_o high_a purity_n and_o subtlety_n which_o can_v be_v compare_v to_o nothing_o better_a than_o to_o a_o lustrous_a shine_a glance_n be_v perfect_o passive_a and_o move_a only_o according_a to_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o father_n which_o make_v she_o more_o swift_a and_o pierce_a than_o any_o thing_n whatsoever_o but_o for_o a_o further_a illustration_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n wisdom_n i_o shall_v a_o little_a enlarge_v myself_o upon_o these_o follow_a particular_n which_o be_v so_o many_o essential_a property_n of_o the_o say_a wisdom_n i._o in_o the_o first_o place_n this_o wisdom_n be_v coessential_a with_o the_o holy_a trinity_n because_o as_o have_v be_v say_v it_o proceed_v from_o the_o trinity_n as_o a_o outgoing_a ray_n glance_n or_o brightness_n now_o nothing_o do_v immediate_o proceed_v from_o god_n but_o what_o be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n and_o essence_n with_o he_o and_o consequent_o what_o can_v this_o bright_a shine_a glance_n from_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o majesty_n be_v else_o but_o pure_a deity_n as_o proceed_v from_o and_o fix_v in_o the_o eye_n of_o eternity_n ii_o the_o second_o essential_a property_n of_o this_o divine_a wisdom_n be_v this_o that_o she_o be_v coeternal_a with_o the_o everblessed_n trinity_n god_n be_v never_o without_o his_o wisdom_n nor_o the_o eye_n of_o eternity_n without_o this_o glance_n and_o bright_a ray_n which_o proceed_v from_o it_o for_o else_o god_n can_v not_o have_v be_v a_o alwise_a and_o all-knowing_a god_n therefore_o according_a to_o order_n of_o time_n the_o divine_a wisdom_n be_v coeternal_a with_o the_o holy_a trinity_n though_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n and_o dignity_n the_o holy_a trinity_n be_v before_o wisdom_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o passive_a effiux_fw-la from_o the_o everblessed_n trinity_n wherefore_o you_o be_v not_o to_o imagine_v that_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n as_o she_o be_v coessential_a and_o coeternal_a be_v also_o coequal_a with_o the_o holy_a trinity_n because_o as_o be_v say_v before_o she_o be_v perfect_o passive_a and_o move_v not_o herself_o but_o as_o the_o eye_n be_v move_v whereas_o the_o bless_a trinity_n be_v all_o act_n all_o act_v power_n she_o be_v indeed_o say_v to_o be_v a_o co-operator_a with_o the_o trinity_n but_o yet_o so_o as_o that_o she_o move_v not_o except_o she_o be_v move_v nor_o act_n except_o she_o be_v act_v thus_o far_o indeed_o she_o may_v be_v say_v in_o some_o sense_n to_o be_v coequal_a with_o the_o trinity_n forasmuch_o as_o she_o fill_v with_o her_o glance_n and_o brightness_n the_o whole_a still_a eternity_n but_o this_o can_v amount_v to_o a_o proper_a co-equality_n because_o she_o be_v whole_o passive_a and_o depend_v of_o the_o trinity_n beside_o she_o be_v clear_o distinguishable_a from_o the_o eye_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o eye_n as_o be_v only_o a_o brightness_n glance_v or_o ray_n proceed_v from_o it_o and_o be_v consequent_o inferior_a and_o subordinate_a to_o the_o bless_a trinity_n iii_o the_o three_o and_o last_o essential_a property_n of_o the_o divine_a wisdom_n be_v her_o virgin_n purity_n which_o consist_v in_o this_o that_o she_o be_v free_a from_o all_o desire_n will_n and_o motion_n of_o heâ—_n own_o she_o desire_n and_o will_v nothing_o but_o as_o the_o eternal_a mind_n and_o will_v desire_n and_o will_n in_o she_o she_o move_v not_o but_o as_o she_o be_v move_v and_o act_v not_o but_o as_o she_o be_v act_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o eternity_n for_o she_o be_v nothing_o but_o a_o bright_a passive_a glance_n from_o the_o eye_n of_o eternity_n she_o be_v a_o eternal_a stillness_n in_o herself_o she_o be_v not_o the_o majesty_n itself_o nor_o the_o eye_n but_o she_o be_v only_o form_n but_o also_o of_o the_o same_o bigness_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o distinction_n between_o they_o but_o only_o a_o numerical_a distinction_n whereby_o one_o of_o they_o be_v not_o the_o other_o and_o one_o of_o the_o great_a wonder_n of_o the_o still_a eternity_n be_v this_o to_o behold_v this_o innumerable_a number_n of_o spirit_n bear_v the_o exact_a and_o perfect_a resemblance_n with_o the_o deity_n both_o outward_o and_o inward_o at_o which_o sight_n my_o spirit_n be_v in_o a_o manner_n all_o absorb_v quite_o swallow_v with_o wonder_n and_o amazement_n have_v thus_o speak_v concern_v these_o qualification_n and_o adjunct_n of_o these_o pure_a spirit_n i_o shall_v now_o draw_v to_o a_o conclusion_n of_o this_o subject_a but_o because_o some_o it_o may_v be_v will_v be_v curious_a to_o know_v what_o the_o manner_n of_o live_v and_o employment_n of_o these_o spirit_n in_o the_o still_a eternity_n be_v as_o to_o the_o first_o we_o must_v know_v that_o be_v live_a spirit_n their_o life_n require_v to_o be_v maintain_v with_o food_n foâ—_n no_o life_n though_o the_o most_o spiritual_a can_v be_v continue_v without_o a_o supply_n of_o meat_n and_o drink_n according_a to_o its_o kind_n it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v think_v that_o we_o speak_v here_o of_o any_o gross_a way_n of_o eat_v and_o drink_v but_o of_o that_o which_o be_v pure_o and_o high_o spiritual_a for_o the_o food_n of_o these_o spirit_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o live_a power_n or_o rather_o power_n of_o life_n proceed_v from_o the_o holy_a trinity_n their_o eternal_a mother_n that_o bring_v they_o forth_o to_o be_v live_v spirit_n do_v feed_v nourish_v and_o maintain_v they_o with_o her_o divine_a influence_n and_o distil_a power_n which_o mother_n of_o they_o be_v the_o eternal_a heart_n of_o love_n which_o be_v the_o centre_n of_o the_o bless_a trinity_n from_o whence_o proceed_v these_o impregnate_n penetrate_a power_n which_o do_v feed_v and_o maintain_v these_o spirit_n which_o power_n be_v the_o very_a blood_n life_n and_o spirit_n of_o love_n which_o be_v the_o food_n of_o those_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o still_a eternity_n and_o thus_o much_o shall_v suffice_v concern_v the_o manner_n and_o way_n of_o live_v of_o these_o spirit_n in_o the_o still_a eternity_n i_o shall_v now_o come_v to_o speak_v a_o word_n or_o two_o concern_v their_o employment_n their_o employment_n be_v to_o attend_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o holy_a and_o everbless_v trinity_n be_v ready_a to_o perform_v the_o will_n of_o the_o supreme_a majesty_n their_o mind_n be_v continual_o take_v up_o and_o delight_v with_o the_o beatifical_a vision_n of_o the_o deity_n their_o will_n full_o satisfy_v in_o the_o immediate_a enjoyment_n of_o the_o chief_a good_a their_o sense_n please_v with_o most_o suitable_a and_o ravish_a object_n and_o they_o continual_o bathe_v themselves_o in_o those_o river_n of_o unknown_a delightsâ—_n â—_z which_o proceed_v from_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o deity_n without_o intermission_n thus_o they_o spend_v that_o eternal_a day_n in_o never_o cease_v praise_n and_o hallelujah_n to_o the_o ever_o bless_a and_o incomprehensible_a trinity_n quest._n if_o any_o one_o do_v further_o inquire_v concern_v these_o spirit_n what_o speech_n or_o language_n they_o have_v or_o how_o they_o communicate_v their_o
