that_o god_n will_v come_v in_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n which_o shall_v not_o serve_v as_o before_o to_o cleanse_v and_o purge_v they_o by_o send_v away_o their_o ofscouring_n into_o the_o wind_n but_o whole_o to_o consume_v and_o destroy_v whatsoever_o appertain_v to_o the_o people_n and_o therefore_o he_o add_v for_o these_o two_o verse_n depend_v one_o upon_o another_o a_o wind_n more_o never_o so_o small_a and_o thence_o come_v that_o proverb_n that_o fool_n often_o tell_v the_o truth_n but_o jeremiah_n on_o the_o contrary_a mean_v that_o the_o jew_n be_v not_o only_a fool_n and_o senseless_a but_o so_o deprive_v of_o all_o judgement_n and_o discretion_n that_o they_o resemble_v even_o the_o insensible_a stone_n or_o bruit_n beast_n so_o as_o there_o remain_v neither_o wit_n in_o the_o history_n of_o the_o world_n creation_n for_o before_o the_o earth_n be_v form_v he_o say_v it_o be_v a_o thing_n that_o lie_v waste_v and_o as_o a_o confuse_a chaos_n therein_o jeremiah_n allude_v to_o the_o chaos_n of_o the_o world_n before_o god_n make_v a_o distinction_n of_o thing_n therein_o without_o any_o form_n or_o shape_n at_o all_o as_o have_v no_o beauty_n in_o the_o face_n thereof_o to_o allure_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o beholder_n to_o gaze_v upon_o it_o it_o be_v as_o much_o then_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v god_n wrath_n and_o vengeance_n have_v cause_v that_o distinct_a and_o comely_a order_n so_o to_o vanish_v away_o that_o nothing_o but_o a_o utter_a confusion_n remain_v and_o thus_o he_o amplify_v the_o outrage_n and_o enormity_n of_o their_o sin_n as_o dread_n a_o hundred_o world_n that_o the_o faithful_a then_o may_v not_o in_o such_o wise_a be_v overwhelmed_n with_o fear_n as_o not_o to_o have_v their_o recourse_n to_o god_n mercy_n it_o be_v often_o add_v by_o way_n of_o correction_n that_o god_n will_v not_o utter_o consume_v the_o earth_n the_o word_n which_o the_o prophet_n here_o use_v sometime_o signify_v perfection_n but_o in_o many_o other_o place_n it_o signify_v consumption_n for_o the_o verb_n signify_v to_o perfect_a and_o consume_v and_o there_o be_v the_o same_o reason_n for_o both_o and_o yet_o it_o seem_v these_o word_n shall_v be_v one_o contrary_a to_o another_o notwithstanding_o that_o which_o be_v consume_v may_v proper_o be_v call_v perfect_a because_o it_o always_o bring_v to_o a_o end_n if_o this_o exposition_n seem_v good_a than_o we_o now_o see_v why_o he_o say_v that_o he_o will_v not_o make_v a_o consumption_n albeit_o he_o do_v severe_o chastise_v this_o people_n to_o wit_n that_o he_o
