you_o have_v variety_n the_o mother_n of_o delight_n and_o such_o notable_a description_n of_o the_o person_n office_n love_n and_o life_n of_o christ_n that_o by_o they_o you_o may_v not_o only_o be_v settle_v in_o divine_a assurance_n to_o your_o further_a comfort_n but_o also_o direct_v and_o encourage_v both_o in_o your_o inward_a and_o outward_a conversation_n to_o follow_v the_o example_n out_o by_o man_n all_o at_o one_o time_n but_o by_o degree_n as_o gold_n be_v find_v in_o mine_n as_o man_n come_v to_o search_v far_o and_o far_o and_o to_o dig_v deep_a and_o deep_o for_o it_o it_o be_v not_o they_o know_v impart_v to_o they_o for_o their_o own_o use_n only_o but_o for_o the_o benefit_n of_o other_o the_o manifestation_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v give_v to_o profit_v withal_o 1_o cor._n 12.7_o and_o therefore_o as_o it_o come_v to_o they_o from_o heaven_n they_o hand_n it_o to_o other_o that_o so_o it_o may_v be_v continue_v in_o the_o church_n the_o ground_n and_o pillar_n corruption_n that_o we_o may_v not_o be_v lead_v by_o our_o own_o lust_n and_o so_o consequent_o by_o satan_n that_o lead_v we_o by_o our_o own_o lust_n in_o the_o way_n that_o lead_v to_o perdition_n so_o much_o for_o that_o i_o will_v put_v my_o spirit_n etc._n etc._n and_o he_o shall_v show_v judgement_n to_o the_o gentile_n after_o christ_n be_v full_o furnish_v as_o he_o be_v furnish_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o with_o a_o commission_n from_o heaven_n from_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n have_v this_o high_a commission_n and_o gift_n for_o it_o by_o the_o spirit_n he_o fall_v upon_o his_o office_n present_o we_o be_v never_o fit_a for_o any_o thing_n till_o we_o have_v the_o spirit_n and_o when_o we_o have_v the_o spirit_n it_o be_v active_a and_o vigorous_a and_o the_o inward_a man_n to_o the_o obedience_n of_o this_o his_o judgement_n christ_n then_o by_o himself_o and_o his_o apostle_n and_o minister_n shall_v declare_v his_o truth_n which_o be_v the_o sceptre_n of_o his_o government_n to_o the_o gentile_n and_o not_o only_o declare_v it_o as_o prince_n do_v their_o law_n by_o proclamation_n and_o statute_n etc._n etc._n but_o he_o shall_v declare_v it_o to_o the_o heart_n by_o his_o spirit_n now_o in_o the_o hebrew_n language_n ordinary_o wise_a government_n be_v call_v judgement_n he_o shall_v declare_v judgement_n that_o be_v his_o manner_n of_o government_n he_o shall_v declare_v it_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o cause_v our_o spirit_n to_o submit_v to_o it_o and_o indeed_o grace_n be_v call_v judgement_n in_o the_o phrase_n of_o scripture_n the_o grace_n of_o sanctification_n because_o it_o be_v agreeable_a to_o judgement_n to_o god_n law_n it_o be_v agreeable_a to_o it_o and_o wrought_v by_o it_o in_o the_o soul_n and_o it_o mean_n of_o grace_n suffer_v violence_n first_o because_o when_o these_o good_a thing_n be_v reveal_v by_o john_n baptist_n and_o then_o by_o christ_n multitude_n and_o after_o by_o the_o disciple_n and_o apostle_n many_o throng_v into_o the_o church_n which_o be_v the_o gate_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n they_o all_o press_v to_o be_v of_o the_o church_n to_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n they_o hang_v as_o it_o be_v upon_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n upon_o his_o mouth_n 3.5_o they_o press_v so_o that_o they_o tread_v one_o upon_o another_o and_o it_o
of_o christianity_n and_o who_o will_v not_o if_o man_n will_v go_v to_o heaven_n they_o must_v be_v violent_a they_o must_v be_v at_o the_o cost_n and_o charge_n sometime_o to_o venture_v life_n law_n yet_o the_o power_n of_o it_o be_v by_o many_o much_o oppose_v therefore_o he_o now_o that_o in_o spite_n of_o reproach_n in_o spite_n of_o slander_n will_v bear_v the_o scorn_v cast_v upon_o the_o gospel_n that_o will_v go_v with_o christ_n without_o the_o gate_n 13.13_o bear_v his_o reproach_n such_o a_o man_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v thus_o violent_a it_o be_v a_o easy_a thing_n to_o we_o value_n they_o much_o heaven_n be_v heaven_n then_o thing_n that_o be_v hardly_o get_v and_o hardly_o keep_v be_v high_o prize_v again_o thing_n the_o excellency_n of_o the_o thing_n enforce_v violence_n it_o be_v fit_a that_o excellent_a thing_n shall_v have_v answerable_a affection_n now_o it_o be_v a_o kingdom_n and_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n what_o affection_n be_v answerable_a but_o a_o violent_a strong_a affection_n necessity_n again_o together_o with_o the_o excellency_n the_o necessity_n require_v it_o for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n it_o be_v a_o place_n of_o pray_v without_o draw_v up_o and_o raise_v up_o our_o soul_n the_o flesh_n will_v stop_v the_o comfortable_a performance_n of_o any_o action_n else_o and_o satan_n will_v kill_v they_o in_o the_o very_a birth_n if_o he_o can_v thing_n to_o search_v a_o little_a deep_o do_v but_o compare_v your_o course_n towards_o these_o good_a thing_n of_o heaven_n with_o your_o course_n towards_o the_o world_n if_o there_o be_v hope_n of_o preferment_n the_o door_n of_o great_a man_n be_v sure_a to_o suffer_v violence_n with_o favourite_n the_o court_n of_o justice_n suffer_v violence_n to_o have_v our_o right_n in_o earthly_a thing_n the_o stage_n and_o such_o place_n be_v throng_v and_o suffer_v violence_n if_o a_o man_n can_v but_o overlook_v the_o course_n of_o man_n abroad_o in_o the_o city_n he_o shall_v see_v one_o violent_a for_o his_o pleasure_n run_v to_o the_o house_n of_o the_o harlot_n as_o a_o fool_n to_o the_o stock_n 7.22_o another_o to_o the_o exchange_n to_o increase_v his_o estate_n another_o to_o the_o place_n of_o justice_n to_o detract_v his_o neighbour_n or_o to_o get_v his_o own_o right_a perhaps_o neglect_v his_o title_n to_o heaven_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n he_o he_o have_v a_o promise_n for_o it_o 4.7_o resist_v the_o devil_n and_o he_o will_v flee_v let_v we_o hold_v out_o and_o we_o shall_v get_v the_o victory_n and_o overcome_v even_o god_n himself_o though_o he_o can_v hardly_o endure_v the_o slavery_n of_o those_o thing_n now_o when_o the_o time_n grow_v better_a it_o be_v no_o wonder_n that_o the_o world_n embrace_v the_o gospel_n with_o violence_n as_o in_o luther_n time_n when_o there_o be_v a_o freedom_n proclaim_v from_o those_o beggarly_a rudiment_n and_o tradition_n antichrist_n have_v hamper_v the_o conscience_n of_o man_n with_o a_o intolerable_a mass_n of_o foolish_a groundless_a ceremony_n make_v they_o equal_a with_o the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o we_o see_v in_o the_o counsel_n of_o trent_n and_o this_o vex_v the_o conscience_n of_o people_n like_o scorpion_n as_o it_o be_v rev._n 9.5_o they_o oppress_v the_o people_n with_o a_o multitude_n of_o weight_n and_o burden_n which_o when_o people_n can_v not_o assent_v unto_o it_o sting_v their_o conscience_n no_o wonder_n then_o if_o people_n throng_v after_o luther_n when_o he_o open_v the_o doctrine_n of_o free_a justification_n by_o faith_n that_o the_o conscience_n of_o man_n be_v not_o to_o be_v hamper_v with_o these_o thing_n he_o teach_v that_o god_n people_n be_v only_o to_o have_v a_o few_o ceremony_n for_o present_a order_n but_o for_o the_o rest_n to_o trouble_v man_n conscience_n and_o to_o make_v they_o of_o equal_a value_n with_o the_o word_n of_o god_n he_o show_v it_o be_v a_o abominable_a doctrine_n and_o write_v against_o it_o learned_o and_o sweet_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n though_o the_o truth_n he_o teach_v be_v soon_o and_o cheerful_o by_o multitude_n embrace_v disesteem_v and_o the_o reason_n why_o now_o the_o gospel_n begin_v to_o be_v so_o little_o embrace_v and_o esteem_v be_v because_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o long_a continuance_n of_o it_o we_o be_v weary_a of_o this_o heavenly_a manna_n as_o the_o people_n in_o saint_n john_n baptist_n time_n as_o eager_a as_o they_o be_v after_o johns_n preach_v 5.35_o yet_o it_o be_v but_o for_o a_o time_n that_o they_o rejoice_v in_o his_o light_n
