they_o will_v be_v much_o deceive_v 28.9_o prou._n 28.9_o for_o solomon_n say_v he_o that_o turn_v away_o his_o ear_n from_o hear_v the_o law_n even_o his_o prayer_n shall_v be_v abominable_a let_v they_o pretend_v what_o they_o will_v for_o their_o wilful_a absent_v of_o themselves_o from_o our_o assembly_n as_o namely_o that_o we_o corrupt_v the_o word_n and_o misinterprete_v and_o misapply_v indeed_o the_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n be_v of_o another_o mind_n for_o when_o they_o have_v use_v the_o best_a preparation_n that_o possible_o they_o can_v they_o find_v so_o many_o defect_n in_o other_o that_o make_v we_o so_o nimble_a and_o ready_a in_o the_o performance_n of_o it_o let_v we_o i_o say_v look_v well_o unto_o our_o heart_n in_o this_o behalf_n for_o all_o be_v not_o fire_n from_o the_o altar_n that_o seem_v to_o be_v such_o it_o be_v a_o rare_a thing_n for_o we_o to_o be_v true_o zealous_a of_o good_a work_n and_o much_o of_o our_o heat_n proceed_v rather_o from_o our_o own_o flesh_n then_o from_o god_n spirit_n and_o therefore_o when_o we_o perceive_v our_o violence_n and_o eagerness_n to_o arise_v rather_o from_o some_o inordinate_a lust_n then_o from_o any_o the_o regenerate_a part_n in_o they_o so_o neither_o can_v they_o do_v the_o evil_a that_o sometime_o they_o will_v because_o the_o spirit_n struggle_v and_o fight_v against_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n now_o concern_v wicked_a man_n they_o be_v altogether_o fleshly_a and_o therefore_o when_o they_o have_v vile_a motion_n from_o nature_n or_o bad_a suggestion_n from_o satan_n they_o like_v of_o they_o and_o nourish_v and_o cherish_v they_o and_o if_o mean_n and_o opportunity_n be_v offer_v proceed_v to_o the_o execution_n of_o they_o herein_o then_o may_v god_n child_n rejoice_v that_o hart_n thus_o it_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v neither_o will_v it_o be_v thus_o with_o those_o that_o ask_v in_o faith_n for_o they_o know_v that_o they_o shall_v obtain_v and_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v unto_o they_o according_a to_o their_o faith_n that_o either_o they_o shall_v have_v the_o particular_a thing_n that_o they_o ask_v or_o a_o better_a in_o stead_n thereof_o and_o therefore_o they_o pray_v still_o and_o wait_v god_n leisure_n and_o herein_o they_o much_o honour_v the_o lord_n in_o that_o they_o cast_v themselves_o upon_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o promise_n and_o do_v not_o trouble_v their_o heart_n with_o unnecessary_a fear_n and_o care_n about_o the_o success_n which_o be_v god_n work_n and_o not_o they_o man_n will_v be_v glad_a to_o be_v rid_v of_o importunate_a you_o and_o he_o have_v say_v i_o will_v care_v for_o you_o the_o reason_n why_o there_o be_v such_o cark_n and_o care_v such_o tumble_v and_o toss_v be_v because_o man_n think_v there_o be_v none_o to_o care_n for_o they_o but_o themslue_n now_o if_o that_o be_v true_a it_o stand_v man_n upon_o indeed_o to_o bestir_v themselves_o and_o to_o busy_v their_o thought_n day_n and_o night_n about_o the_o matter_n of_o the_o world_n but_o see_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v protest_v that_o he_o care_v for_o we_o what_o need_n have_v we_o to_o perplex_v our_o heart_n with_o some_o necessary_a vexation_n and_o distraction_n sure_o it_o argue_v great_a corruption_n in_o we_o when_o we_o give_v way_n to_o such_o distrustful_a thought_n for_o either_o we_o do_v not_o believe_v that_o god_n do_v care_n for_o we_o or_o at_o least_o we_o imagine_v that_o his_o care_n be_v not_o sufficient_a for_o we_o both_o which_o shall_v be_v far_o from_o the_o heart_n of_o all_o true_a christian_n let_v we_o therefore_o strive_v against_o our_o unbelief_n and_o give_v unto_o god_n the_o praise_n of_o his_o truth_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o of_o his_o alsufficiency_n and_o then_o fix_v our_o adversary_n now_o because_o they_o be_v drunken_a with_o passion_n and_o fear_n and_o will_v not_o harken_v to_o the_o proclamation_n of_o peace_n therefore_o do_v the_o lord_n send_v out_o against_o the_o instant_n but_o in_o a_o book_n that_o it_o may_v be_v for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v even_o for_o ever_o and_o ever_o that_o be_v that_o it_o may_v stand_v in_o record_n for_o their_o perpetual_a desgrace_n and_o reproach_n now_o because_o they_o will_v hardly_o yield_v unto_o this_o charge_n to_o wit_n that_o they_o be_v traitor_n against_o god_n in_o seek_v unto_o the_o king_n of_o egypt_n for_o aid_n but_o will_v object_v that_o they_o do_v it_o in_o policy_n and_o in_o good_a meaning_n for_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o church_n and_o commonwealth_n and_o do_v rest_n on_o god_n nevertheless_o he_o put_v off_o that_o by_o fay_v that_o they_o be_v lie_v child_n full_o of_o hypocrisy_n and_o dissimulation_n pretend_v to_o send_v into_o egypt_n in_o godly_a wisdom_n whereas_o it_o proceed_v indeed_o from_o their_o wretched_a unbelief_n and_o because_o it_o be_v not_o safe_a for_o he_o to_o say_v this_o in_o general_a unless_o he_o can_v prove_v it_o therefore_o he_o allege_v against_o they_o this_o particular_a that_o they_o will_v not_o hear_v the_o law_n of_o the_o lord_n they_o be_v drive_v to_o hear_v now_o and_o then_o but_o they_o do_v it_o not_o willing_o nor_o with_o a_o good_a affection_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v just_o condemn_v as_o rebel_n against_o the_o lord_n in_o all_o these_o word_n than_o be_v set_v down_o a_o grievous_a complaint_n against_o the_o nation_n of_o the_o jew_n wherein_o we_o may_v observe_v 1._o first_o god_n charge_n that_o he_o give_v unto_o the_o prophet_n that_o he_o shall_v prefer_v a_o indictment_n against_o they_o not_o only_o for_o their_o present_n but_o for_o their_o everlasting_a shame_n if_o they_o do_v persist_v in_o their_o evil_a course_n 2._o the_o reason_n why_o he_o take_v this_o unbelieve_a jew_n be_v rebel_n against_o god_n this_o be_v the_o point_n hence_o to_o be_v observe_v that_o open_v sin_n must_v have_v open_a rebuke_n and_o this_fw-mi doct._n 1_o grace_n though_o slip_v whatsoever_o may_v benefit_v and_o help_v then_o in_o good_a and_o holy_a course_n but_o after_o their_o regeneration_n the_o case_n be_v alter_v with_o they_o for_o they_o they_o strive_v to_o from_o the_o bondage_n of_o they_o be_v it_o not_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o work_v all_o these_o good_a thing_n in_o you_o and_o why_o then_o shall_v you_o make_v question_n whether_o it_o
