controversy_n concern_v doctrine_n but_o very_o little_a time_n spend_v about_o true_a repentance_n and_o a_o christian_a life_n for_o what_o be_v doctrine_n without_o life_n but_o a_o tree_n without_o fruit_n or_o how_o shall_v he_o follow_v the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n who_o imitate_v not_o his_o life_n for_o the_o head_n or_o chief_a of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n be_v charity_n from_o a_o pure_a heart_n and_o a_o good_a conscience_n and_o a_o unfeigned_a faith_n but_o we_o live_v in_o that_o age_n wherein_o there_o be_v a_o great_a number_n of_o those_o who_o if_o we_o hear_v they_o dispute_v so_o acute_o and_o well_o of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christian_a religion_n you_o will_v think_v they_o to_o be_v man_n of_o great_a worth_n but_o if_o you_o behold_v they_o narrow_o and_o touch_v they_o near_o you_o shall_v then_o know_v they_o to_o be_v inward_o and_o in_o their_o heart_n full_a of_o pride_n envy_n and_o covetousness_n that_o no_o basilisk_n can_v be_v more_o venomous_a against_o who_o therefore_o we_o must_v beware_v observe_v what_o paul_n say_v 1_o tim._n 1._o he_o do_v not_o rash_o or_o sudden_o join_v love_n and_o faith_n that_o he_o may_v show_v that_o these_o two_o do_v or_o will_v conspire_v and_o consent_v together_o and_o although_o we_o can_v arrogate_v so_o much_o to_o our_o strength_n and_o piety_n that_o we_o make_v it_o the_o knowledge_n understanding_n and_o wisdom_n be_v not_o the_o least_o whereby_o it_o follow_v again_o without_o a_o holy_a life_n the_o purity_n of_o doctrine_n can_v be_v preserve_v and_o the_o wicked_a which_o will_v not_o imitate_v christ_n be_v not_o enlighten_v with_o the_o true_a light_n on_o the_o contrary_a those_o that_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n that_o be_v which_o do_v insist_v and_o persevere_v in_o the_o footstep_n of_o christ_n be_v drench_v and_o bathe_v in_o the_o true_a light_n which_o be_v christ_n and_o divine_o preserve_v from_o all_o error_n therefore_o it_o be_v true_a which_o that_o ancient_a writer_n taulerus_n say_v so_o soon_o as_o a_o man_n dedicate_v himself_o to_o god_n and_o suffer_v he_o and_o deni_v his_o own_o will_n and_o flesh_n then_o true_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n do_v begin_v to_o make_v beginning_n of_o illumination_n and_o endow_v with_o true_a and_o solid_a knowledge_n because_o indeed_o this_o man_n do_v celebrate_v the_o true_a sabbath_n of_o the_o heart_n
