make_v holy_a so_o that_o the_o child_n of_o believe_a parent_n be_v holy_a and_o therefore_o to_o be_v admit_v member_n of_o the_o church_n ans_fw-fr the_o same_o apostle_n do_v also_o give_v we_o to_o know_v rom._n 5._o 12._o infant_n no_o feadrall_n holiness_n in_o infant_n that_o we_o be_v all_o under_o original_a sin_n and_o all_o by_o nature_n the_o child_n of_o wrath_n and_o therefore_o faeadrall_n holiness_n be_v not_o to_o be_v imagine_v in_o child_n yea_o it_o be_v very_o probable_a by_o my_o former_a instance_n of_o esau_n judas_n and_o that_o passage_n in_o ezekiel_n prophecy_n that_o godly_a parent_n may_v have_v wicked_a child_n and_o the_o prophet_n habakkuk_n also_o say_v that_o the_o just_a shall_v live_v by_o his_o faith_n viz._n by_o his_o own_o faith_n for_o otherwise_o if_o one_o man_n faith_n will_v save_v more_o than_o himself_o that_o popish_a tenant_n of_o supererrogation_n may_v lawful_o be_v justify_v which_o we_o utter_o disclaim_v as_o well_o we_o may_v doubtless_o than_o the_o apostle_n meaning_n in_o that_o place_n be_v no_o other_o but_o this_o viz._n that_o like_a as_o all_o thing_n be_v clean_o to_o the_o clean_a tit._n 1._o 15._o as_o food_n raiment_n etc._n etc._n so_o be_v the_o unchristian_a woman_n to_o the_o christian_a man_n as_o that_o he_o may_v be_v conversant_a with_o she_o and_o not_o offend_v and_o that_o the_o child_n beget_v by_o such_o a_o couple_n be_v not_o to_o be_v repute_v as_o unlawful_a or_o impure_a or_o else_o the_o apostle_n write_v to_o satisfy_v a_o scruple_n viz._n that_o if_o unbelieved_a make_v a_o wife_n unholy_a unto_o her_o husband_n or_o a_o husband_n unholy_a to_o his_o wife_n it_o will_v make_v their_o child_n unholy_a too_o and_o so_o both_o or_o none_o be_v to_o be_v put_v etc._n no_o holiness_n incorporate_v into_o the_o woman_n by_o the_o man_n etc._n etc._n away_o but_o in_o regard_n that_o to_o the_o pure_a all_o thing_n be_v pure_a therefore_o as_o well_o the_o child_n as_o the_o wife_n in_o that_o sense_n aforesaid_a and_o not_o that_o the_o believe_a husband_n do_v incorporate_v a_o inherent_a holiness_n into_o the_o unbelieved_a woman_n or_o the_o woman_n to_o the_o man_n in_o the_o act_n of_o marriage_n or_o both_o of_o they_o into_o the_o child_n for_o that_o be_v punctual_o to_o contradict_v the_o aforesaid_a scripture_n and_o so_o consequent_o for_o the_o say_a apostle_n to_o contradict_v himself_o sect_n 10._o obj._n if_o infant_n be_v not_o baptise_a then_o be_v they_o leave_v in_o death_n and_o aught_o to_o be_v of_o no_o more_o esteem_n than_o pagan_n or_o infidel_n ans_fw-fr to_o the_o first_o of_o these_o i_o
