their_o hear_v 2._o that_o a_o person_n may_v be_v a_o good_a hearer_n of_o the_o word_n in_o christ_n account_n if_o he_o bring_v forth_o the_o best_a fruit_n he_o can_v though_o not_o in_o so_o though_o his_o humane_a nature_n be_v asleep_a yet_o his_o divine_a nature_n neither_o slumber_v nor_o sleep_v learn_v hence_o that_o the_o prevalency_n of_o fear_n in_o a_o time_n of_o great_a and_o imminent_a danger_n though_o it_o may_v evidence_n weakness_n of_o faith_n yet_o be_v it_o no_o evidence_n of_o a_o total_a want_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o disciple_n fear_n they_o believe_v christ_n power_n and_o ability_n to_o save_v they_o master_n
and_o some_o of_o they_o say_v can_v not_o this_o man_n which_o open_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o blind_a have_v cause_v that_o even_o this_o man_n shall_v not_o have_v die_v observe_v here_o 1._o the_o condolency_n and_o tender_a sympathy_n express_v by_o our_o saviour_n upon_o this_o occasion_n he_o groan_v in_o his_o spirit_n and_o be_v trouble_v or_o as_o the_o original_a have_v it_o he_o himself_o to_o be_v our_o brother_n and_o near_a kinsman_n according_a to_o the_o flesh_n learn_v 2._o that_o the_o passion_n and_o affection_n which_o our_o saviour_n have_v and_o express_v be_v always_o holy_a and_o innocent_a he_o be_v not_o without_o they_o but_o he_o be_v above_o they_o they_o do_v never_o violent_o and_o immoderate_o trouble_v he_o but_o when_o he_o please_v he_o trouble_v himself_o jesus_n groan_v in_o spirit_n and_o trouble_a himself_o observe_v 2._o how_o our_o saviour_n manifest_v this_o condolency_n and_o tender_a sympathy_n with_o martha_n and_o mary_n by_o his_o weep_n jesus_n weep_v partly_o from_o compassion_n and_o partly_o for_o example_n in_o compassion_n first_o to_o humanity_n to_o see_v how_o miserable_o sin_n have_v debase_v the_o humane_a christ_n sorrow_n for_o admire_v his_o love_n to_o dead_a lazarus_n behold_v how_o he_o love_v he_o christ_n love_n to_o his_o people_n be_v admirable_a and_o soul_n amaze_a such_o as_o see_v it_o
