life_n may_v choose_v he_o and_o count_v all_o thing_n but_o dung_n to_o gain_v he_o forsake_v themselves_o and_o their_o own_o righteousness_n and_o to_o love_v he_o and_o embrace_v he_o with_o such_o affection_n that_o they_o prefer_v he_o to_o all_o thing_n even_o to_o their_o own_o life_n so_o that_o man_n by_o faith_n be_v not_o only_o make_v to_o know_v his_o redeemer_n but_o also_o to_o possess_v he_o and_o all_o blessing_n in_o he_o and_o for_o this_o cause_n be_v it_o that_o in_o the_o scripture_n we_o be_v say_v to_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n by_o faith_n in_o christ_n to_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n in_o he_o to_o be_v save_v by_o faith_n in_o he_o and_o as_o say_v the_o apostle_n peter_n believe_v in_o he_o we_o carry_v about_o with_o we_o the_o end_n of_o our_o faith_n the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n 1._o epist_n 1._o 9_o and_o for_o this_o work_n of_o faith_n it_o be_v call_v by_o the_o apostle_n the_o subsist_v of_o thing_n hope_v for_o hebr._n 11._o 1._o because_o it_o give_v a_o certain_a be_v and_o subsist_v unto_o thing_n that_o be_v yet_o invisible_a and_o be_v yet_o only_o expect_v and_o hope_v for_o and_o make_v they_o to_o subsist_v in_o our_o heart_n therefore_o say_v christ_n he_o that_o believe_v be_v already_o translate_v from_o death_n to_o life_n and_o have_v everlasting_a life_n joh._n 5._o 24._o thus_o we_o see_v that_o faith_n be_v take_v away_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o possess_v nor_o apprehend_v christ_n nor_o righteousness_n or_o any_o other_o spiritual_a blessing_n in_o he_o therefore_o because_o it_o be_v the_o effectual_a instrument_n of_o god_n supernatural_a power_n in_o our_o heart_n whereby_o we_o apprehend_v and_o possess_v christ_n and_o all_o blessing_n in_o he_o the_o father_n do_v call_v it_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o christian_a as_o also_o the_o mouth_n of_o a_o christian_a and_o likewise_o the_o bind_v of_o a_o christian_a because_o by_o faith_n as_o by_o a_o hand_n we_o lay_v hold_v on_o he_o and_o by_o faith_n as_o by_o a_o mouth_n we_o receyve_v he_o into_o our_o heart_n and_o by_o faith_n as_o by_o a_o band_n that_o never_o can_v be_v break_v we_o be_v so_o unite_v to_o he_o and_o he_o with_o all_o the_o benefit_n that_o be_v in_o he_o unto_o we_o that_o we_o never_o can_v possible_o be_v separate_v from_o he_o nor_o he_o or_o his_o blessing_n from_o we_o for_o this_o cause_n be_v it_o that_o augustine_n say_v believe_v only_o and_o thou_o have_v eat_v he_o and_o for_o clear_n of_o this_o ground_n it_o be_v that_o these_o phrase_n of_o speech_n be_v use_v to_o wit_n that_o christ_n be_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n unto_o righteousness_n to_o all_o that_o believe_v that_o the_o promise_n be_v give_v to_o they_o that_o faithful_o believe_v that_o the_o gospel_n be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n unto_o salvation_n to_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v etc._n etc._n all_o to_o teach_v we_o that_o neither_o the_o gospel_n can_v help_v we_o to_o salvation_n neither_o be_v the_o promise_n make_v we_o nor_o christ_n righteousness_n belong_v unto_o we_o except_o we_o believe_v because_o there_o be_v no_o mean_a to_o make_v any_o thing_n contain_v in_o the_o gospel_n especial_o the_o promise_n or_o christ_n himself_o to_o be_v we_o but_o faith_n only_o and_o for_o this_o same_o
